A prime example of trailers fucking everything up. Kingsman: The Golden Circle, violent and smutty as the first, returns with some great additions to the first. However the differences between the film and its promotion come under the lens this week on Ignorance is This, leaving Scott and Oliver asking what it would be like to experience the film that could have been. Oliver also NAILS Scott's stupid Rotten Tomatoes game and HAMMERS home some great Haiku's that stumps Scott's deciphering skills. Gee, I wonder who whote this description.

ALSO, looking back at the year, what films would we give an immediate second viewing to?

A new movie has come out this year starring Tom Cruise! Will it be Top Gun-quality? Or will it be The Mummy-quality? Or will it be average? Who knows. (We do). Find out in this episode of Ignorance Is This!

We also talk about the bad people who spoil whether a movie is good or not for us, Oliver wins OR maybe fails another round of 'The Fruit is Acute' and Scott rants about the ol' 'Horror-mirror trick'. This is a great episode! Enjoy.

Round two in the classic game of SCOTT IS SCARED OF MOVIES, this time with 'IT' (2017). Oliver hasn't seen the trailers, and knows absolutely nothing about IT, not the actors, not the characters, not even the premise (outside of knowing ITs about an evil clown). So did Scott, having seen the promotional material and alerting him to when jump scares and tense moments might occur, still wind up a wimpering mess of man?

Scott also feels the need to complain once more about minor shitty pet peeves he finds in movies, and Oliver is poetically brilliant as usual by bringing some amazing haikus to the table in 'Critically Acclaimed or Critically Lame!'

Scott and Oliver answer the question on this weeks episode of Ignorance is This!

How does knowing certain locations, character whereabouts, and events of Season 7 of the HBO fantasy series Game of Thrones affect one's disposition or enjoyment for the show? Oliver has avoided both the pre-season trailers as well as the promo videos for each weeks episode in order to stay ignorant of these particulars.

Also! Enjoy discussion on the best conditions for watching movies, learn what the movie trope known as 'offscreen teleporting' is, and scratch your head
over Oliver's odd line of questioning towards Scott about peanut butter sandwiches. What could that possibly mean? We still don't know.

Logan Lucky is a film starring Channing Tatum, Adam Driver, Katie Holmes and Daniel 'Potato Face' Craig. How did Scott have no idea what it was when it was released? That's right, in this special episode of Ignorance Is This, Scott and Oliver SWITCH ROLES. Oliver had seen a trailer or two of Logan Lucky beforehand and Scott went in almost COMPLETELY BLIND. Who had the better time? And more importantly... did it fly under the radar because it's bad? Or is it a hidden treasure?

And as always we cap off the show with some fun games. In this episode: The Fruit is Acute and Critical Acclaim or Critically Lame?

The Iggy Boys are back, baby.

In anticipation of this movie, Oliver read the first installment in Steven King's 'Dark Tower' series. Oli thoroughly enjoyed the book, so he had hope as high as a tower. Did the Idris Elba & Matthew McConaughey lead epic live up to the expectations? or did they make Oli want to jump off a tower? I'm done with the tower jokes.

And as always we cap off the episode with a few fun segments. This time: Pet Peeves & The Fruit is Acute.

Thanks for downloading the VERY SPECIAL episode of Ignorance Is This!

In this one, Oliver presents Scott with a special quiz to test his ignorance. They've been doing this for 18 weeks straight, surely he's learned something? Play along at home and let us know how you went! Subjects include actors, franchises, directors and MORE!

Scott enjoyed a nice 'classic' this week with some fava beans and a nice Chianti. What did he think of Silence of the Lambs 26 years after release? Is it still as creepy today, or has the shock factor wore off?

Thanks for listening!

Scott and Oliver are BACK for another terrific episode of Ignorance Is This. In this one, our heroes find themselves seeing the new David Leitch flick 'Atomic Blonde'. Scott saw the promo material, Oliver went in blind. Who had the better time?

Also in this episode: A LONG discussion on whether movies get better or worse with subsequent viewings. Can you truly say a movie is one of your favourites if you've only seen it once?

And as always we cap off the episode with a few fun segments. This time: Pet Peeves & The Fruit is Acute.

After 15 episodes of whining, Oliver FINALLY grants Reservoir Dogs as homework for Scott. Will Quentin Tarantino's "masterpiece" impress him after hearing about it as just that for 21 years?

Also discussed in this episode: The Emoji Movie, The Room and Scott's singing voice.

And as always, we cap off the show with a few fun segments. This week: Critically Acclaimed or Critically Lame? and The Fruit is Acute.

Thanks for downloading!
