Ignorance Is This

Director of The Dark Knight trilogy & Interstellar comes the highly anticipated war film Dunkirk. Wouldn't it just be great if you had two boys opinions spoken aloud to you - one of them not having seen any trailers, and one who has been all about them? Who likes the movie more? Who's the bigger One Direction fan? Do 'actors' like Harry Styles and Ed Sheeran ruin on-screen immersion?

And as always, we cap off the show with a few fun segments. This week: Pet Peeves and The Fruit is Acute

Episode 14 of Ignorance is This is here and oh boy, what a big show. Not only are we chatting about Oliver's most anticipated film of this year and hear his thoughts since he knew next to NOTHING about it, we were also recording this one 200+kms from each other!

In this one, Scott and Oliver talk BABY DRIVER. Edger Wright holds the privilege of being Oliver's favourite director so this was a big deal to both of them. Does it live up to expectations? Also: a quick discussion on book/film adaptations wins and losses.

And as always, we cap off the show with a few fun segments. This week: Critically Acclaimed or Critically Lame? & Pet Peeves.

OH BABY IT'S FINALLY HERE.

Scott's been hyping this one for 3 months. Spider-Man: Homecoming is Scott's most anticipated film of this year as he loves the character and really believes everything Marvel has done with it so far has been perfect. Can expectation become reality? Or will it be just a regular ol' Marvel flick?

Oliver and Scott also discuss lazy writing in all forms of entertainment and introduce 2 new characters to the show: Pre-Spider-Man: Homecoming viewing Scott and Oliver. Regular hosts Scott and Oliver hate those guys.

And as always, we cap off the show with a little game. This week: The Fruit is Acute.

Away from the comfort of the podcasting studio, Oliver and Scott find themselves in Scott's childhood home discussing 'Dump-truck Directing' and peer feedback on the podcast!

Then, Scott's thoughts on Tim Burton's 2007 Triller/Drama/Musical 'Sweeney Todd' starring Johnny Depp, Helena Bonham Carter and Alan Rickman. Does Scott's dislike of Johnny Depp step in the way of the acclaimed musical, one of his favourite genres? Or do powerful performances, fun songs and a good twist save it?

Episode 11!

In today's show, Scott and Oliver talk about critical acclaimed films they consider to be overrated, or even bad.

Then, a discussion on the 1999 'cult classic' The Boondock Saints. Does it live up to its cult status? Or is it as bad as the critical reception makes it out to be?

And as always, we cap off the show with a few fun segments. This week: The Fruit is Acute & Pet Peeves.

BABY WE HIT DOUBLE FIGURES. THE BIG DOOJ.

To celebrate, we have a spoooOOOooKYyyY horror movie themed show. We open the discussion over which movies we can watch on repeat and which we would never watch again.

Then, a discussion on 2016's 'Hush', directed by Mike Flanagan. Scott hates horror movies and he hates Oliver for making him do this.

And as always, we cap off the show with a few fun segments. This week: Critically Acclaimed or Critically Lame? & Pet Peeves.

Today on the show, Oliver and Scott talk about subtitles over non-English speaking characters in high budget films. Is it better to have German characters speak German to each other with subtitles? Or break the character immersion and have them speak in English for the convenience of the English-speaking audience?

Then, Amazonian Woman discussion. Can DC finally release a better-than-mediocre film? Did seeing promotional material ruin the experience for Scott?

And as always, we cap off the show with a few fun segments. This week: The Fruit is Acute & Pet Peeves.

Huge show this week. Oliver and Scott discuss how Rotten Tomatoes works, which is the best reviewer website to determine if a movie is good or not, and... is Scott THE Rodger Ebert?!

We saw Baywatch this week! Does it reach the highs of 21 Jump Street? Or does it drown to the depths of the ocean? Did the trailers do it justice, or would it have been better to go into blind?

Episode 7!

It's that movie where there the dead guys can't tell any stories. Pirates of the Carribean is BACK, and we watched it BABY to see if the trailer ruins our experience.

We also discuss why people are so insistant that characters die in a film when they actually don't?

And as always, we cap off the show with a few fun segements. This week: The Fruit is Acute & Critical Acclaim or Critically Lame (Haiku Edition).

A bulky episode today, we went, like, 3 minutes more than we usually do!

Today on the show, Scott and Oliver talk about whether they would show their non-existant children horror movies. Scott's having bloody none of that. Then, a quick chat about Oliver's favourite horror movie memories.

This week we saw King Arthur: Legend of the Sword. Is it as trash as Scott thought it would be? Did Oliver's lack of knowledge about it enhance his experience with it? Listen to find out!

And as always, we cap off the show with a few fun segements. This week: Critically Acclaimed or Critically Lame? & Pet Peeves.
