If there is one thing that binds us Filipinos, no matter where we are, it is our undying love for the Motherland. Some may argue that the Philippines is currently experiencing turbulent times, and the nation has never been more divided. But if we are not known for our resilience, then we are not known for anything else. Whew. That was heavy.
In this episode, the Ihaw Ihaw Crew together with our special guest, former spokesperson & program manager for the anti-poverty programs for the Office of the Vice President Leni Robredo, Georgina Hernandez-Yang, discuss the importance of staying connected with the Philippines while living abroad. Georgina joins us from Boston, Massachusetts, and she sheds light on how and why it is critical to be informed and involved with what is happening back home. If it sounds a tad too serious, it is because it is, but we made sure to keep it light and fun, as you’ve come to expect from us.
