To deny a doctrine or alter the work or person of Jesus Christ is to attack Christ and to deny the true Christ of the Bible.
Mark 10:23 - "And Jesus looked around and said to His disciples, 'How difficult it will be for those who have wealth to enter the kingdom of God!'" What is it about a person's wealth that makes it difficult for them to enter heaven? The problem is an issue of trust. Men love how money makes them feel in control and they trust in it rather than God.
And I am sure of this, that He who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ. - Philippians 1:6

The person who is unbalanced and lacks Biblical knowledge can become a "Christian fanatic" and harm both the church and the unbelieving world. To the church they lay rules on the Christian that Jesus Christ never made and they burden God's people like the Pharisees did. To the unbeliever the fanatic makes him stumble at Christianity before he ever gets to stumble at the Gospel. Yet the only thing the unbeliever should stumble at is the Gospel we proclaim. So we must know our Bible's so that it won't be said of us "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge;" - Hosea 4:6.
Excerpt from the full sermon: Not Being Uninformed (1 Thes. 4:13-14)
In 1 Thessalonians 4:13 the apostle Paul tells the brethren, "we do not want you to be uninformed". As Christians we need to be growing in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and not to be swallowed up in ignorance. Being uninformed and ignorant in areas of the Christian life leads us to unnecessary grief.
There is only one explanation of why a person has any family resemblance to Jesus Christ; it is because they have been born of God. Righteousness characterizes the people of God and no one else can truly walk in holiness except the believer.
The greatest problem in the world is sin. Yet as David cried out in Psalm 51, "Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin!" and so also do we need the precious blood of Christ that alone can forgive all of our sin. As the hymns say, "Wash me, Savior, or I die..." and "The vilest offender who truly believes, that moment from Jesus a pardon receives."
In this APT Tim responds to the following question: "Why does God make it so hard for his people to make it into his kingdom? He throws most of his OWN people into the lake of fire forever to be tormented with no hope of getting out. I understand he gives us a way out. But I also understand its extremely difficult and not many will actually be able to do it. What kind of savior is Jesus anyways? You cant honestly tell me all you have to do is believe. I understand what scripture says in John 3:16 as well as several other verses I don't feel I have to describe to whoever reads this because you know them. What about all the other verses pertaining with the difficulty level? Why does Jesus set the standard so high, that it seems NO person can complete it. God has ruined my life.
Anyways I can continue until I'm blue in the face but nobody will read this anyhow so I'm giving up on my life. I tried to repent and I keep failing. God does not want me. God does not want me in his house.
I was so happy before God came into my life and now that hes here he has broken my family apart. He has happily broken my life apart, my relationship apart, taken my job away, made my family cry in fear, made my mom think she has failed me and now she is depressed, and made me depressed. But he loves me.....Yet he will probably happily throw me into hell if I disobey. But he loves me....
I want to kill myself. God does not want his people to enter his kingdom."
Often people will ask if there is a cultural key in evangelism to win souls to Christ in other countries. However, to preach the Gospel is the same all over the world - whether idolatry in India or idolatry in the USA. Whether false ways of salvation in the USA or false ways of salvation in India - the spiritual condition of man is the same. The outward things and customs are different, but man's need is the same in every country. The need is for us to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ and not to walk in craftiness (2Co 4:2).
It's easy to say, "I'm not like Cain, I didn't put a knife in my brother." However, hatred is more subtle than sticking a knife in your brother. Hatred begins in your heart and manifests itself in many ways that are all contrary to Christ and love.
