People are astonished at Christ of one of two ways; they’re either horrified by Him, or they’re silenced and humbled by Him. How do you react to Jesus Christ?
Do you perceive the subtle schemes of the enemy that are set against you to destroy you? It could be as subtle as having a strong desire to number how many troops you have to put your trust in your statistical power. Christian, you have an enemy who is strategizing ways in which he can destroy your soul, and we must not be ignorant of Satan's designs and how he schemes.
In missionary Rosalind Goforth's book, "Climbing" she records a true story of a boy known as "Wootsi". In God's providence, the tragedy of this young boy being brutally attacked by wolves led to him being taken to a Christian hospital. It was at this hospital that he heard the Gospel and came to know Jesus Christ. In the end, he looked back on all that had happened to him and thanked God for allowing it to happen.
The following video is my (James Jennings) attempt at creating a short film out of this story that is for children. The part of the video in which Wootsi is read is directly taken from Rosalind's account. Just to be extra cautious I do want to give this disclaimer: Some children may find the illustrated images that depict the boy's injuries and cuts to be graphic.

The Bible admonishes parents (fathers in particular) to not exasperate their children. What are some ways that parents can exasperate their children and how can we avoid them?
What does the spiritual war look like for the believer? The enemy targets and attacks the mind of the believer. Satan wants us to doubt God and he attempts to do so by firing fiery darts at our minds. Scripture tells us to carry the shield of faith so we can extinguish the flaming darts the enemy throws at us. How does faith work in this scenario? In what way does faith protect us from Satan's harm?
Our world is full of problems right now and so many people are convinced that they have the solutions for them. But none of these solutions work because they're all focused on flesh and blood. We have to remember that the root cause of our problems is spiritual, not physical.
God often uses men to help us but we must never forget that men are just the means that God uses. They don't have an inherent ability in themselves to help anyone. Our ultimate help has to come from God and not man.
The Devil will do absolutely anything and everything he can to keep sinners from coming to Christ. Don’t believe it for a second. Whoever comes to Christ won’t be cast out.
Are you spending your journey wisely? Are you on the right road? What is your life’s ambition? What is the real purpose of life?
This video is based on the tract, “Your Life’s Ambition” written by Bob Jennings
We (Christians) have as our ambition … to be pleasing to Him - 2 Corinthians 5:9
Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. - Matthew 7:21
He is – to put it in these words – He’s the recon general who came on His own for a rescue mission to rescue a fallen, lost, dying, perishing world.
Who is He to you this morning? He’s the Savior. You would be in hell or in a mental institution or in prison or on your sixth marriage or in a bar this morning hungover or somewhere except here if Christ hadn’t rescued you and saved you and kept you. He’s the very reason you’re here this morning fully clothed and in your right mind and not home watching sports on television. Jesus Christ is the reason. He’s the reason. You and I didn’t keep ourselves. We’ve been kept by Him. He’s the Son of God. He’s the Son of Man. He’s the friend of sinners. He is our prophet, priest, and king. He is the perfect counselor. He’s our advocate. He’s our merciful and faithful high priest.
He’s our Lord and our King and our Good Shepherd. He shepherds us every second when we’re awake and when we’re asleep. When you’re sleeping, He’s keeping your heart beating. When you wake in the morning, the nearness of God is your good. You awake. You behold His face – the face of Jesus Christ by faith in your heart. You behold His face in righteousness. He is the nearness of God for you. He is your good every day.
