This week, I sit down with Chicago based independent artist, JAMS the Flava Child. JAMS came across my path due to the recent bodies of work him and long time friend of the show Billy Hoyle put out. I started diving into his work and watching all of his music videos and became impressed with the detail he put into his craft. From his lyrics to his visuals, you could tell he was making some shit shake. This week, JAMS and I talk about his introduction to music, collaboration, how he managed to grow his brand, his attention to detail, and so much more. I really enjoyed chopping it up with him and learning about the method behind the madness. I was nervous sitting down for this one. I’m not sure if it was because I wasn’t well versed on him or his catalog of work or the fact that he wasn’t from our city. I just wanted to make sure to come correct and show him and what he does the respect it deserves. And I think I did just that. I’m excited to drop this episode. Enjoy.
