This week I sat down with Dan Dobies. Dan has been working at St Augustine Cemetery for 16 years. Every since I watched zombie movies like Night of the Living Dead, I've always been creeped out by cemeteries. The more and more I thought about it I would find myself wondering, what type of people work in the cemetery? Who digs the grave? Who takes care of the grounds? I just have always been facinated by it, so I looked to trusty ole facebook and made a post saying I wanted to find a Grave Digger. Sure enough, within two minutes of my post, I got three recommendations and knew Dan was the guy. We talk about everything from him living at the cemetery to how a typical day in his life unfolds. He's definitely a cool dude. I hope you enjoy the episode.
