Eric and Brad open up the episode by talking about the issues that they had transitioning from the military/private contracting world back to the civilian world. Following that, Eric and Brad are joined by New York Times Best-selling author Sebastian Junger to talk about change throughout his illustrious career. Junger discusses how he wrote his initial claim to fame, "The Perfect Storm" which became the motion picture of the same name, and the gritty, real-world stories that followed, many of which involving soldiers in war. The group discusses tribal mentalities, freedom, and the many intimidating changes they have experienced throughout their lives.
Junger's body of work is far from his literary works, and also includes documentaries, multiple TED Talks, being a guest on podcasts to include The Tim Ferriss Show & The Joe Rogan Experience, and much more.
Junger has since started a nonprofit organization called "Vets Town Hall" where he invites veterans of all wars to share their personal stories with the public, and coincidentally was how Project Headspace and Timing started in the first place, after Eric was referred to Junger's book "Tribe."
I'm F.I.N.E. Podcast is a division of Eric's non-profit:
