Followers of this podcast may have noticed a slight disruption in our regular release schedule due to the unfortunate passing of Eric's mother. Earlier this year our co-host Brad lost his father, and our resident LPC Melanie lost her mother in a tragic accident when she was 18. In today's episode, we dive into those stories along with the similarities and differences of the grieving process from three very different scenarios all involving one of the worst parts of the human experience: losing a parent.

With Fall upon us and Halloween right around the corner, there is one basic human emotion that tends to steal the show: fear. Listen to Brad and Eric discuss where fear comes from, fear's affects on the body, dealing with fear, and personal experiences with fear both as children and now as adults.

Eric and Brad are joined by guest Kathi Myers of the Samuel R. Myers Foundation for Suicide and Mental Health to discuss suicide in the civilian world. Eric and Brad cover some surprising suicide statistics, and Kathi shares her family's story of dealing with the suicide of her son Sam, and turning that pain into an organization that has changed legislature, educated countless others, and tirelessly works to destigmatize mental health while connecting resources to those who need them.

On this episode of I’m F.I.N.E. the boys tackle all aspects of anger: causes, effects, types, ways to deal with it, and ways anger is actually a good thing. Brad discusses the role anger played in his stages of grief over losses in his family, and Eric shares the worst motivational speech he had ever heard.
