For our first real episode, we discuss one of the most-requested stories from the Twitter account: The story of a bored mid-20s Californian who decided the cure for his mental illnesses and the ennui of comfortable middle-class life was quitting his job and walking across America coast-to-coast in the middle of summer with little preparation and ignoring the guidance of experienced backpackers telling him that he was ill-equipped and the route would likely kill even an experienced long-distance hiker. To keep a sustainable weekly release schedule, for the time being,we're going to be splitting episodes in two so tune in next Wednesday for the exciting conclusion to Muerte's saga!
You can watch Winslow's newest Thalia Hall opening set that he mentions in the episode at https://youtu.be/bbsIamivgCI
You can review the Google Doc of this episode at the link below for sources and documentation. Please be considerate of listeners who wish to remain unspoiled until the second episode has dropped and they've had a chance to listen to the conclusion. Seriously, if people are jerks about this I just won't post the doc until the second half of the episode drops.
