I'm onto better things. I'm not looking at yesterday. I'm not looking at these past failed relationships. Things that didn't make me feel good. I'm not replaying those stories in my mind because I want to be better and to do better and to do that, that means I have to move forward. And let me ask you something. If I keep trying to play the old story behind me, how can I move forward onto the "better thing?” I'm just asking.

And, you know, I really thought about this as I was listening to this track by Ciara and Summer Walker and it's entitled, "Better Thangs." They go on to say, "Better things, better things. Ain't got time for petty things, I'm on better things." I don't know what you're entertaining. What you are spending your time with, but if it doesn't serve you, it doesn't deserve you.

You have to realize the things that you are placing in your life. Is it taking you to the next level on where you want to go? Is it equipping you to be all that you can be? That's why they say self-love is the best love. And in it they continue, "I've been busy loving me. Protecting all my energy." Show yourself the love that you deserve and realize that you deserve the best. You deserve better things. In fact, declare it with me, "I'm onto better things!”
