I am feeling a bit poetic today. I have days like this.
Behold! The rapture’s whisper, God’s Heavenly breath that beckons, calling His Son’s beloved indwelt Bride from earthly bonds to realms beyond our reckonings.
Trumpets sound, their silver notes, roaring through time’s thin veil, as souls ascend on wings unseen, their earthly garments left behind.
The faithful indwelt rise, like morning mist, their tears transformed to shouts of joy, and in that sacred suspension, they glimpse their eternal Groom.
Families reunite, hands clasped, across the chasm of mortal years, loved ones lost, now found anew, in the embrace of eternal bliss.
Streets of gold, where angels tread, and crystal rivers weave their song, The Lamb awaits with open arms, to welcome home the weary throng.
But what of Earth? Its empty spaces, where memories of departed footsteps fade, A world left yearning, souls crying out, awaiting their own eternal resolve.
So let us live with rapture’s hope, our hearts attuned to Heaven’s call, for in the whisper of eternity, we find our truest home after all.
THE RAPTURE
The Rapture is a significant event in authentic Christian eschatology—the study of End Times and the gathering of the true indwelt believers of Jesus Christ. While the term “Rapture” itself is not explicitly found in Scripture, its essence is rooted in several key passages. Biblically, it is referenced as “The Gathering of the Saints” or “Being Caught Up with Him.”
What Is the Rapture?
The Rapture refers to the sudden reality that, at a future moment, all true believers—both living and deceased—will be caught up to meet Jesus Christ in the air. This event will occur before a period of Seven Year Tribulation of the Antichrist on Earth. Although the word “Rapture” doesn’t appear in the Bible, the doctrine is derived from biblical principles and passages.
Key Biblical Passages on the Rapture:
1 Thessalonians 4:13–18:
Now, brothers, we want you to know the truth about those who have died; otherwise, you might become sad the way other people do who have nothing to hope for. For since we believe that Yeshua died and rose again, we also believe that in the same way God, through Yeshua, will take with him those who have died. When we say this, we base it on the Lord's own word: we who remain alive when the Lord comes will certainly not take precedence over those who have died. For the Lord himself will come down from heaven with a rousing cry, with a call from one of the ruling angels, and with God's shofar; those who died united with the Messiah will be the first to rise; then we who are left still alive will be caught up with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air; and thus we will always be with the Lord. So encourage each other with these words. (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18)
In this passage, the apostle Paul addresses the Thessalonian believers who were grieving over the deaths of fellow Christians.
Paul assures them that those who have died in Christ will rise first when Jesus gathers His Bride. Then, living believers will be caught up together with them to meet the Lord in the air. It is the event when Yeshua (Jesus) comes for His Bride. This event brings comfort and hope to believers, emphasizing reunion and victory over death - as well as the glorious uniting with our Savior and Husband.
1 Corinthians 15:50–54:
Let me say this, brothers: flesh and blood cannot share in the Kingdom of God, nor can something that decays share in what does not decay. Look, I will tell you a secret—not all of us will die! But we will all be changed! It will take but a moment, the blink of an eye, at the final shofar. For the shofar will sound, and the dead will be raised to live forever, and we too will be changed. For this material which can decay must be clothed with imperishability; this which is mortal must be clothed with immortality. When what decays puts on imperishability and what is mortal puts on immortality, then this passage in the Tanakh will be fulfilled: "Death is swallowed up in victory. (1 Corinthians 15:50-54)
This passage communicates the perfect details of the Rapture. Paul further elaborates on the resurrection and transformation of believers. He describes the mystery of the Rapture: “We shall not all sleep [die], but we shall all be changed.”
At the last trumpet, the dead will be raised imperishable, and the living will be transformed. Mortal bodies will put on immortality, and victory over death will be complete.
Matthew 24:30–31:
"Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, all the tribes of the Land will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with tremendous power and glory. He will send out his angels with a great shofar; and they will gather together his chosen people from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.” (Matthew 24:30-31)
Jesus Himself speaks about His return in this passage.
He declares that all people on Earth will witness His coming in the clouds. With a trumpet call, His angels will gather His elect from every corner of the world.
This gathering points to the Rapture, where believers are taken to be with Him.
When Will the Rapture Happen?
The exact timing of the Rapture remains unknown - purposely. Jesus emphasized that only the Father knows the hour (Matthew 24:36). In fact, the Scriptures reveal that Yeshua (Jesus) does not know that exact timing. The timing of the event is known by God the Father. It will be like a thief in the night.
However, we know it will occur at the end of this age. Please note that Jesus’ Second Coming does not occur until the last hour of the reign of the Antichrist’s Seven Year period.
The Rapture precedes the tribulation period, during which God’s righteous judgment will be poured out on the Earth. Those who refuted the warnings of the prophecies and miss the Rapture will suffer under these judgements. Sadly, the majority of humanity will laugh in the face of this warning. However, laughter will turn to sorrow quickly.
In summary, the Rapture is a blessed hope for believers—a moment when we will be united with Christ, transformed, and forever with Him. While debates exist about the timing, the essential truth remains: Jesus will come for His people, and we eagerly await that glorious day.

“But Thou, O Lord, are a shield about me, my glory, and the One who lifts my head. I was crying to the Lord with my voice, and He answered me from His holy mountain. I lay down and slept; I awoke, for the Lord sustains me. I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people who have set themselves against me round about.” (Psalm 3:3-6)
MORNING PRAYER
Dear Father,
It’s so scary, the tangled web that deception weaves! My heart is broken for what I see happening around me. It’s everywhere. Was I just naïve? Because life is rapidly changing from day to day. I know I repeatedly say this to You, but I don’t think I’ll ever get used to it. I can’t fully wrap my arms around all the ways I see foundational, biblical Truth attacked. You see me, shaking my head… again!
I think about you, Jesus, enduring gossip, false accusations & lies, and emotional & physical abuse by your persecutors. Sometimes those doubters were even close friends & family. I don’t understand how You bore that grief, all the way to the Cross. Would I have accused You? It makes me sick, to the point of tears, to even think so! Hindsight is 20/20. I have Your written Word. But what if I had lived back then? Your garden suffering was a culmination of it all. You agonized over your impending loss, without compromise, for eternal weight of glory. Please teach me to love like that. Because sometimes I can’t get past the disillusionment of hurt. Somedays I have an eternal perspective. Other times it’s just plain HARD to not be affected by an insidious, creeping evil that I can’t see. It’s illusive, Lord, but intentional. I do hate the enemy of our souls! I do hate watching his destruction in lives I know & love. Like dropping a pebble into a lake, I watch the ripples traveling outward, long after the initial “plop” in the water.
Lord, you have given me the promise & seal of Your Spirit. Please open my spiritual eyes to what You want me to see. I know I should not react defensively. But then comes that sudden trigger, when my emotional target is so very real, like a stinging pain I can almost touch. My pride steps up to bat. And it’s downhill from there. You embraced that pain, verbally defenseless, because of loving obedience to fulfill Your Father’s redemptive purposes. And You did it alone… completely… alone, for people who missed Your heart of love & didn’t know how much they needed You. There are times when it feels like my heart is breaking. Pretense can be nasty, between people pretending to love, resulting in s-l-o-w, strangulating death. Teach me to love selflessly when I cannot “breathe.” Because it’s all about You.
You know me better than I know myself. You know my thoughts, motivations, fears & the times I grapple with unbelief. The timing of events that touch my life isn’t lost on You. Whether I like it or not, information thrust on me these days can feel like an avalanche. Thank you, for Your all-sufficient grace in my ongoing, ever-present needs. I am learning how much strength there is in dependency. Please protect my mind, our marriage, our future, & our remaining days on this earth. Thank You for my beloved & for unceasingly working to knit our hearts together. Keep us sealed by Your love so that we are “leakproof” & resistant to the assaults of the world, the enemy, & our own flesh. “Cocoon us” in Your very life by the power of Your Spirit. We are Yours, Lord. Thank You for saving us! IN YOUR MATCHLESS NAME I TRUST!

TRUTH AND CONSEQUENCES
Homosexuality is a topic that has sparked intense debate and discussion within both religious and secular circles - certainly within the authentic Christian community. No matter how believers “feel” regarding this topic, as we explore a Biblical perspective, it’s essential to approach it with grace, love, and a commitment to truth. This is not an “opinion piece” - this essay reveals what the Bible says about homosexuality, acknowledging that all of us—believers and non-believers alike—have no “right” to defend what God calls sin.
I have studied cultural movements and issues for more years than I can remember. This topic, however, has become the most sensitive and deceptive of them all. It not only became the most depraved movement, but this single issue is also blamed for the leading ideology that led the Western culture into a total meltdown. This, my reader, is the root cancer of all global degenerative movements.
Leviticus 18:22 states, “You shall not lie with a male as with a woman; it is an abomination.”
The problem is not new! It has been around since the days of Old Babylon, even the days before the Great Flood. Since America has been deeply rooted in Biblical doctrines, we avoided the debauchery of this movement until 1924, when the Society for Human Rights was founded in Chicago, becoming the first documented gay rights organization in America. It published the first American magazine for homosexuals, called Friendship and Freedom.
To establish normality, depraved cultures must use the ideology of discrimination. Out of the top ten movements in America, all ten of them used the discrimination clause to establish their beliefs AS a norm. In 1953, President Dwight Eisenhower signed Executive Order 10450, banning homosexuals from federal government employment due to perceived security risks. This single singing ignited a revolt throughout America - the Sexual Revolution was born.
By 1969, thanks to the “hippy culture,” America faced a turning point, which ignited the LGBTQ+ rights movement. They pressed in on the equality movement, made use of it through political lobbying. Since those early “hippies” were now legislators, significant progress was made. The free sex grown up hippies began funding and advancing homosexuals through legislative decisions, platforms, and closet advertisers. The rest, as they say, is history.
REVIEWING THE BIBLICAL WORLDVIEW
It all started in the Old Testament. The Hebrew text and the descriptives of homosexuality are explicitly discussed in many passages. Since the fall of Adam and Eve, the first world, before the flood, became so vile in sexual practices - sex with animals, demon sex, men with men, women with women, etc., that the Lord became obligated to destroy the world - except Noah and his family.
After God hit the reset button, He established laws forbidding the practices of pre-flood sexual behaviors.
Leviticus 18:22 states, “You shall not lie with a male as with a woman; it is an abomination.”
If a man lies with a male as with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination; they shall surely be put to death; their blood is upon them. (Leviticus 20:13)
Leviticus 20:13 reinforces this prohibition, declaring that those who engage in same-sex relations should be put to death. When a society or a nation rejects the mandate of putting these violators to death, He becomes obligated to do the destruction, as in the case of the flood and Sodom and Gomorrah.
Two Cities Nuked
The story of Sodom and Gomorrah (Genesis 19) is often associated with homosexuality. The cities were destroyed due to their wickedness, which included sexual immorality. Shortly after immorality, specifically, homosexuality becomes accepted by a people, their society, in general, must be destroyed. If anyone understands the infectious nature of immorality, it’s the Hebrew God.
Let’s review this. 99.99% of humanity was defiled by immorality before the flood, which ended in destruction. As for Sodom and Gomorrah, 99.99% were defiled outside of Lot and his wife, which ended in destruction. Regarding Old Babylon, 99.99% were defiled by immorality and idolatry outside of Daniel and a few others, which ended in destruction. Rome - 99.99% were entrapped by immorality and idolatry outside of a select few, which ended in the fall of Rome. Since Rome was the last superpower noted in the Bible, our present empirical governing nations, once uniting as a one-world superpower, it is imperative that the sin of immorality is the 99.99% of the populous before Yeshua/Jesus returns to destroy humanity.
However, there will be a deceptive act conducted by the Antichrist that will replicate God’s repeated plans to destroy nations of immorality. What does he do? Shortly before the world implodes upon its depraved ideologies, he will step out of his closet and offer the world a peace plan to do the opposite of what God typically does with immoral nations. It works for three and a half years. Then he himself destroys all non-believers in him. Then comes the real Yeshua/Jesus, who does what His Father has done throughout human history and delivers the Seven Bowls of Judgement upon an immoral world. End of story, oh, I mean, end of humanity.
Homosexuality in the New Testament
Romans 1:26-27:
Paul writes, “For this reason, God gave them up to dishonorable passions. For their women exchanged natural relations for those that are contrary to nature, and the men likewise gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another, men committing shameless acts with men.”
Paul not only emphasizes that homosexuality is a sin, but it is contrary to God’s design for human sexuality - even in modern cultures. Sexual attraction is for the fulfillment of God’s mandate of being fruitful and multiplying the earth. While it is pleasurable, the pleasure is used by the Lord to fulfill the command. It is that simple. Any acts of pleasure that do NOT advance the Lord’s order are a sin.
But whoever has doubts is condemned if he eats, because the eating is not from faith. For whatever does not proceed from faith is sin. (Romans 14:23)
1 Corinthians 6:9-10:
Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. (1 Corinthians 6:9-10)
Paul’s list is not self-opinion! He is noting the sobering consequences of such practiced sinners who will NOT inherit the Kingdom of God. However, the minds of ambiguity will slide by this warning with passive resistance while dishing out some morbid opinion that matters not to God. No question. However, it does not change the doctrines of God’s requirements.
Jesus, on the issue of Sexuality
While Jesus did not specifically address homosexuality, His teachings emphasize purity, the love of His Father, and fidelity. In Matthew 19:4-6, Jesus reaffirms God’s original design for marriage—a union between one man and one woman. His teachings uphold the sanctity of heterosexual marriage. Here is the “gig.”
Yeshua advanced one analogy on this topic. Men represent Jesus in the home, and women represent the Holy Spirit. Children come from this perfect union and represent future converts to the indwelling Life of Jesus Christ. When Satan successfully flipped this simple analogy, it removed Jesus as head of His Church, the Body of Christ. Thus, he can easily slide his Great Harlot, the False Prophet, into position in the End Times.
Then one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls came and said to me, “Come, I will show you the judgment of the great prostitute who is seated on many waters, with whom the kings of the earth have committed sexual immorality, and with the wine of whose sexual immorality the dwellers on earth have become drunk.” (Revelation 17:1-2)
What is this sexual immorality? Do I really need to answer that?
I know this is a sensitive topic. As authentic Christians, our response to the Biblical teaching on homosexuality should be rooted in Grace and the Love of God while we remain immovable regarding its doctrines. Sure, most of us recognize that all of us fall short of God’s standards. However, with Yeshua/Jesus living within us, those standards are fulfilled by Jesus Himself. Thus, we are mandated to teach and practice those standards by releasing Jesus from within to live them out. God the Father, Jesus the Son, and the Holy Spirit abhors immorality - and for good reason. While we extend compassion to those struggling with same-sex attraction, we must teach that it is a sin. If any of us cannot say that homosexuality is a sin, we WILL end up on a list that might inspire God to turn us over to a depraved mind (Rom. 1:26).
The Holy Bible unequivocally states that homosexual behavior is outside God’s plan for human sexual expression. Let us approach this topic with bravery, humility, understanding, and a commitment to immovable TRUTH, always pointing toward the redemptive love of Christ.

I have been tested multiple times throughout my ministry years regarding spiritual gifts. Each and every time, I max out at 100% when it comes to the gift of prophecy. However, know this, all authentic believers receive this manifestation to a certain measure.
I may have the gift of prophecy, I may fathom all mysteries, know all things, have all faith—enough to move mountains; but if I lack love, I am nothing. (1 Corinthians 13:2)
As a prophet, this has become my greatest lesson. Until the Lord revealed to me that the book of Revelation was a love letter, I was one of those “nothing” type believers who used harshness to front God’s people. Not good! Today, I am a different man. I finally learned of the marriage between prophecy and love.
GOD’S PROPHETS
The Lord’s prophets throughout history penned the love letters of God. These chosen messengers played a pivotal role in shaping the first and second coming of Yeshua (Jesus), guiding humanity toward the invite of indwelling Life, and revealing His Divine projections of future events while cementing His immovable Truths. Here’s a few pointers:
The Importance of God’s Prophets
1. Understanding the Role of Prophets
Before we explore the impact of God’s prophets, let’s grasp their essential role. A prophet is someone Divinely inspired—a conduit through which God manifests His foresight and communications with humanity. Their unique insights rise above ordinary wisdom, revealing God’s foresight, will, moral guidance, and future events. Prophets serve as effective spokespeople for God’s cause, urging us to align our lives with His purpose, warnings, and love.
2. Major Prophets: Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, and Daniel
The Bible distinguishes between major and minor prophets based on the length of their books & their impact on future events. The major prophets—Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, and Daniel—left enduring legacies that continue to impact our future. In fact, the major prophets perfectly align with prophecies being fulfilled in the book of Revelation.
a. Isaiah: The Prince of Prophets
Isaiah, often called the “prince of the prophets,” authored a book that stands as one of the most read in the Bible. His writings blend poetic beauty with powerful messages of warnings, prophetic accuracy, and Divine foresight.
Relevance: Isaiah’s prophecies foretold the coming Messiah, emphasizing God’s love, justice, and redemption. His words resonate across generations, urging us to seek God’s will instead of our own desires. Isaiah was known as the kind prophet, which reinforces Paul’s statement noted above.
b. Jeremiah: The Weeping Prophet
Jeremiah, one of my favorites, known as the “weeping prophet,” faced immense personal struggles. He was known as being subjective in nature - crying at every turn. While he was emotive in nature, God designed & selected him before he was conceived, like all prophets. Jeremiah is known for being the leading major prophet who demonstrated the love of God in real-time. His book includes prophecies, private struggles, and personal reflections.
Message: Jeremiah warned of impending judgment due to Israel’s disobedience. Thus, his daily motive was to demonstrate obedience in spite of his emotional turmoil. His life exemplified resilience, as he remained faithful despite persecution from his family, fellow Jews, and haters of Israel.
c. Ezekiel: Visionary and Acute Prophet
Ezekiel received vivid visions and acted out prophetic messages to convey God’s warnings & truth. He was a man of many dreams and visions. His revelations are the leading Old Testament prophecies that predicts the final events of Israel in the book of Revelation. He is also known for the Biblical parallel of Old Babylon and the coming resurrected Babylon stated in Revelation - the spiritual & political structure of the Antichrist. His name literally means strengthened by God. Most, if not all, of his prophecies were during his captivity to Nebuchadnezzar - comparing the first Babylon to the Jews being recaptured by the forthcoming Antichrist. He was the leading inspirational figure in Nehemiah rebuilding the walls surrounding the original Jerusalem.
Themes: Restoration, repentance, and God’s sovereignty. Ezekiel’s unwavering commitment inspires us to seek God even in adversity. His work should compel all authentic believers to study the book of Revelation.
d. Daniel: Faith in Exile
Daniel, a captive in Babylon, demonstrated unwavering faith, loyalty, and obedience to God while serving as a servant advisor to King Nebuchadnezzar. He is known as the leading prophet who demonstrated the “how” to serve an ungodly authority while waiting on God to change the king’s life. He is/was the prophet known for revealing Godly honor under all conditions.
Daniel’s visions connect directly to the demonic evil empires noted in the book of Revelation. His vision of Nebuchadnezzar’s statue profoundly affected all the empires that rose against Israel - from Old Babylon to the upcoming Antichrist. His book combines prophecy, history, and personal narratives.
Legacy: Daniel’s courage, integrity, and reliance on God remain relevant. His visions reveal God’s ultimate plan for the Jews, Israel, and all of humanity.
3. The Significance of Prophets Today
Yes, God continues to appoint prophets today. However, New Testament prophets can no longer foretell the future as was in the case of Old Testament prophets. New Testament prophets host a gift of prophecy that contains special God ordained insight into existing prophecies. By the time of Yeshua’s arrival, all prophecies had been noted. The book of Revelation does NOT contain new prophecies - the book discloses the future application and fulfillment of preestablished prophecies. In this we can see the importance of understanding how the Old Testament was for the purpose of laying the foundation for the upcoming fulfilment of each.
Spiritual Growth: Prophets continue to shape the direction of the Body of Christ, the Church, through their gift of prophecy. They are often known for being visionaries, packed with wisdom that comes directly from God through the indwelling Spirit of God - the Holy Spirit. Their messages reveal God’s heart, His warnings, and frequently enabling effective leadership and fruitful ministries.
Divine Communication: Prophets act as intermediaries, conveying God’s laws, commandments, Grace, Love, and preexisting prophecies. Their words carry extraordinary Divine authority, which often results in rejection and at times, persecution. They are complex in nature due to their wisdom is beyond the logic and reasoning of the masses.
Witness of Jesus: Prophets bear witness to Jesus Christ, His indwelling Life, pointing us toward authentic salvation, the warnings of God, and eternal hope. Since NT prophets see behind the covert lies people propagate, frequently they suffer loneliness due to family, friends, and enemies fear being revealed while around them. Thus they are isolated after their communications.
4. Listening to Living Prophets
Modern Prophets: In our time, living prophets guide us. However, in an anti-authority culture in the Body of Christ and in society in general, today, few are guided by their strong words and challenges. Since their teachings reflect the immovable doctrines and prophecies of God and His will, their instructions, warnings, and counsel are neglected and disregarded frequently. It matters not to most of them. Their loyalty to their obedience in Christ to do what they are told to do BY God, outweighs all rejection.
Blessings: When we heed their counsel, we find safety, peace, and spiritual strength - without question. Those who take the time to befriend prophets find one of the greatest resources to modern Christianity. The few friends they DO have are Divinely loyal to the end - much like the way they are to Christ.
In conclusion, God’s prophets—whether ancient or contemporary—illuminate our path, urging us to seek truth, the indwelling Life of Christ, embrace righteousness, and draw closer to the Divine prophecies. Their legacy reminds us that we are part of a grand prophetic narrative—a story of redemption, love, and eternal purpose. May we listen attentively and learn from their wisdom.

Aiden Wilson Tozer, commonly known as A.W. Tozer (1897–1963), was a prominent Christian pastor, author, and theologian. Early on in my ministry in Christ, he was a significant mentor & influencer in my thinking. His life and writings continue to inspire believers around the world. He maintained an attitude of “never giving up” in what God called him to do. I endure daily because of this servant’s focus on Christ in you.
A.W. Tozer: A Life of Devotion
A.W. Tozer’s unwavering commitment to Christ left an indelible mark on authentic Christian thought and practice. His life exemplified several key aspects of faithful endeavors:
Passionate Pursuit of God: Tozer’s most famous work, “The Pursuit of God,” reflects his deep hunger for intimacy with the indwelling Life of Jesus. He challenged believers to seek God wholeheartedly, emphasizing that knowing Yeshua/Jesus personally was the highest pursuit of life.
Prophetic Voice: Tozer fearlessly addressed spiritual complacency and lukewarm faith. His sermons and writings cut through religious formalism, urging indwelt Christians to live authentically, passionately in, and through Christ. My passion to address the lukewarm church roots itself in Aiden’s influence in my life.
Prayer Warrior: Tozer believed in the power of prayer. His prayer life was marked by fervency, humility, and dependence on God through the indwelling Holy Spirit. He encouraged believers to cultivate a vibrant prayer life and commune with the Almighty in a manner the Scriptures call - pray without ceasing.
Holiness and Sanctification: Tozer emphasized the call to Holiness through releasing Christ’s Holiness from within. He believed that true Christianity involved a radical transformation—a sanctification process where believers become identified in Christ. His book “The Pursuit of Holiness” underscores this theme.
Simplicity and Depth: Tozer’s writing style was both simple and profound. He communicated deep theological truths in accessible language, making them relevant to everyday life. Another favored book, includes “The Knowledge of the Holy.” It continues to impact readers.
Revival and Spiritual Awakening: Tozer longed for revival—a fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit. His prayers and sermons stirred hearts toward revival, emphasizing the need for repentance, surrender, and a renewed passion for God and His Son’s indwelling Life.
A.W. Tozer’s faithful endeavors centered on knowing God & Jesus intimately, living a Holy life and calling the Church to revival. His legacy challenges us to pursue God with zeal, authenticity, and unwavering faith while remaining faithful to our calling until death parts us.
FEEL LIKE GIVING UP?
I hear and read that more and more leaders are leaving their calling in Christ. They claim they are exhausted and suffering too many hardships. I get it. With suffering from a degenerative nerve disease, mildly elevated bone marrow cancer, and heart failure – I have to strategically plan my rest and ministry activities. I believe the strength our Lord gives us must be dedicated to what we are called to do. In my case, it is the ministry of IOM America and assisting other ministries in being successful in their endeavors in Christ – assisting others on Substack IS one of those I am called to be a part of. All that to say - stick with your calling. If Substack is your “gig” or other ministry(s) you are active in - stay faithful.
Ministers, writers, teachers - be encouraged. Endurance is a powerful concept in the indwelling Life of Jesus. As we know, it's the ability to persist, remain steadfast, and keep going even when faced with challenges, suffering, or adversity. As believers, we draw our strength from Christ from within, who endured all forms of suffering. Can you imagine if Jesus stopped or minimally slowed His ministry due to those sufferings? I cannot. We wouldn't be having this discussion if He did. We must press on! Interested reader, whatever ministry or vision God gave you, bring it to fruition. Complete it.
Fix Your Eyes on Jesus in You: In Hebrews 12:2, we're reminded to fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith. When we focus on Him, we find the strength to endure because He endured all things for us. When the disciples fell asleep in the garden, yes, Jesus was frustrated. However, He went right back to finish battling the enemy in prayer. Leaders, it would be best if you did the same thing.
Suffering The Purpose of Your Ministry: Romans 5:3-5 tells us that suffering produces endurance, character, and hope. Our trials are not in vain; they shape us and draw us closer to the indwelling Life. Let's face the facts. There IS suffering in ministry – tons of it. These sufferings should not hinder us from what He called us to do. All ministers of the Gospel should know their vision and calling and be willing to go to their grave working on completing it in Jesus' name. Believers like me will be at your side in this process.
Remember the Cloud of Witnesses: Hebrews 12:1 speaks of a "great cloud of witnesses" who have gone before us. Their stories of faith and endurance encourage us to press on. I work to remember this single factor: a great cloud of witnesses is watching every keystroke, media production, and my efforts in Christ to assist others. I'm sure they're taking notes. LOL. My point is, we are not in this alone.
Pray for Perseverance: James 1:12 reminds us that those who endure trials will receive the crown of Life. So, pray for Jesus in you to release perseverance and trust that God's grace sustains you. Outside of fixing our eyes on Jesus, fix your eyes on that Crown of Life. I do!
Lean on God's Promises: Isaiah 40:31 says, "But they who wait for the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles." God's promises give us hope and strength. I encourage you to spend some time reviewing your calling and developing strategies and methods to deliver the messages the Lord gives you to advance His mission. Then, stay faithful! Never toss your calling aside over the misnomer of “feelings.” NEVER!
Leadership Support Matters: Surround yourself with fellow leaders, believers who can encourage you, pray for you, and walk alongside you during difficult times - for all of us WILL suffer such times.
Remember, endurance isn't about our own strength—it's about relying on Christ's strength within us. In saying that, ask others on Substack, or on your ministry’s website to pray for you. This way, you can send them prayer requests, while developing a support group.
You will be hated by all for my name's sake. But the one who endures to the end will be saved. (Matthew 10:22)
This verse emphasizes the importance of perseverance and steadfastness in the face of challenges. As leaders, we are called to endure faithfully, trusting that God’s promises remain true. Just as Abraham patiently endured and obtained the promise (Hebrews 6:15), we too can find strength in our endurance.
Remember that enduring to the end is not about our own strength but about relying on God’s grace that lives within us via the Holy Spirit. May this truth inspire and encourage you as a leader, knowing that the ultimate reward awaits those who remain steadfast in their faith until the end.

“I have seen strength, like an oak in the storm…I have felt gentleness, like a golden summer dawn…I have felt protection, like a shelter all around…All from a life that gave me life…All from my father’s love.”
I REMEMBER DAD
When I was a little girl, my father & I had our own special game. When he came home from work & pulled in the driveway, I would run out of the house & jump on his back the minute he stepped out of our Pontiac wagon. He was my ride to the house & my kisses were his fuel. Whenever he slowed down or needed extra energy to get up the steps, I’d plant one on his cheek.
Dad had a special way of doing things & made memories out of seemingly insignificant events. Saturday night was grocery night & every week there were 3 twin pops, one for each of us kids. When we played rummy or board games, it was Dad’s signal to make popcorn. Nobody else quite did it like he did. His boyhood stories were some of my favorites. Even though I knew them by heart, he told them the same every time, never omitting details. Oftentimes I would ride bike to the lumberyard, where he worked, to visit him on his coffee break. He would greet me like I was someone special & he’d introduce me to customers. Dad was appreciative of anything he received & made gift opening quite a production!
I guess by the world’s standards, most people would say we didn’t have much growing up. Even though most of our clothes were hand-me-downs or sewn by my grandma, & we didn’t have TV or an abundance of store-bought toys, I never felt cheated. What we did have, money couldn’t buy. I sincerely believed I had the best Dad & Mom in the world! As I grew up, graduated from high school & college, and married, Dad & Mom seemed to get smarter & smarter. When I had babies of my own & began experientially understanding the sacrifices they made for us, they appeared downright brilliant!!
In years past, during one of my quiet times, God clearly showed me the treasures I’d been given. The legacy my father passed on to me was alive in my family. I saw it in myself, I saw it in my beloved husband, & I was seeing it’s fruit in the lives of my precious daughters. So, I thanked Dad. I thanked him for being an example of a diligent, hard worker who pursued excellence in every task. Born from necessity, Dad could fix almost anything & it was usually better than before it broke. I used to tell him that anything he repaired would last until Jesus came back! I thanked him for walking in integrity all his life. My Dad was the same person at home that he was in public. He wouldn’t have considered cheating in any form—not in his work, his finances, or his marriage. I never once saw him look at, or speak to, other women inappropriately. Always a gentleman, he treated people with dignity & respect. I thanked him for giving me a passion for old-fashioned values & strong family ties. Even though expressing his feelings didn’t always come easy, Dad’s hugs were generous and I-love-you affirmations were frequent. We never doubted that he was 100% for us. When we hurt, he hurt. He lived what he believed, & to me as a child, his actions did speak louder than words.
My heavenly Father unexpectedly called my earthly father home, one spring day 29 years ago. My Dad wasn’t perfect, nor did he pretend to be. He made mistakes. But love covers/doesn’t keep score & forgiving love heals. My relationship with him was honest, loving, & reconciled. His passing left a huge hole in my life, but I could release him to the Lord without regrets. I think that life is too short to harbor grudges & go to bed angry. We can sometimes get “stuck,” emotionally, and live “hung up” on issues that don’t matter in the end. Those time wasters are traps set by the enemy, for the potential destruction of our lives. Love your family while you have them. I don’t think you can ever prepare to lose them...regardless of how long you do, or don’t, have them in life. In the end, I know we’ll fully understand that the only thing that ever really matters is relationship…first with Christ, second with family, & then, with whoever else God brings across your path.
We still talk about my folks. Nostalgic washes over our hearts at least once a month. Dad would likely be pleasantly surprised about that!
Overall, I believe dads do the best they can with what they’ve been given, & with what they understand to be “wise” at decision time. It’s important for them to know they are loved & accepted, despite past failures & weaknesses. I know I’m not the first to say that I wish I’d known as a young parent, what I know now, as an Oma. Pray for your father. Don’t assume he knows how you feel or that he doesn’t need to be affirmed. Someday, you’ll be older, & looking back, too. Treat him now, how you want to be treated then.

Suffering Believers in the End Times
“But understand this, that in the last days, difficult times will come…” — 2 Timothy 3:1
As we stand on the precipice of the end times, the world around us grows increasingly tumultuous. The signs are unmistakable: moral decay, spiritual apathy, and a shifting cultural landscape where TRUTH is blurred and where the enemy’s darkness encroaches. For indwelt believers, these are not mere headlines; they are the realities we face daily - a reality preparing us for the forthcoming Rapture.
Revelation Love, Suffering in The End Times, we delve into the unique challenges that await following indwelt believers of Christ in these perilous days. We’ll explore the characteristics of suffering during this epoch, the internal struggles we encounter, and the unwavering hope that sustains us. So, fasten your spiritual armor, for we are about to embark on a journey through the pages of prophecy and the corridors of faith.
1. The Difficult Times Within
The apostle Paul, writing from a prison cell, beckons us to recognize the state of present and future sufferings. It’s not just suffering from external persecution; it’s grappling with internal strife. These are not ordinary times; they are difficult times. The Greek word used here implies violence, peril, and even demonic influence. The modern-day church, once a refuge, now faces storms from within its own walls.
2. The Characteristics of the Last Days
Paul doesn’t mince words. He lists nineteen negative traits that will mark many professing believers during these tumultuous seasons. Here are five among them:
* Lovers of Themselves: Self-centeredness dominates hearts.
* Lovers of Money: Materialism blinds spiritual vision.
* Boastful and Arrogant: Pride replaces humility.
* Irreconcilable and Treacherous: Unity crumbles and trust erodes.
* Maintaining an Outward Appearance: Religion becomes a façade, devoid of power.
3. The Present Tense of Warning
Paul’s exhortation to “avoid people like these” is not a distant prophecy. It’s a present reality. The difficult times had already begun. The church, even in Timothy’s day, he grappled with these internal battles. False teachers, warped minds, and those disqualified in the faith infiltrated congregations - fake, false teachers. The enemy sowed discord, and the faithful were caught in the crossfire. Their cultural battle was no different than the one we face today.
4. The Call to Endure
Yet, amidst the chaos, there’s a call to endure - those who endure to the end, those will be saved. Like soldiers in battle, we’re summoned to suffer for and with Christ. Our sufferings may come from within our own ranks, but our hope remains unshaken as long as we endure. We cling to the promise that God’s grace will sustain us, even when those we love rise up against us.
I hope you are refreshed by these verses!
1 Peter 5:10 (ESV):
“And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.”
God’s grace sustains us through suffering, and our temporary trials lead to eternal restoration.
Romans 5:3-4 (ESV):
“Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope.”
Suffering shapes our character and deepens our hope in Christ.
2 Corinthians 1:3-4 (ESV):
“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.”
God’s comfort in our suffering equips us to comfort others.
Romans 8:18 (ESV):
“For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us.”
The future glory far outweighs our current trials.
Psalm 34:19 (ESV):
“Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all.”
God is our deliverer even in the midst of suffering.
2 Corinthians 4:17 (ESV):
“For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison.”
Our suffering has eternal significance.
Romans 8:35 (ESV):
“Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword?”
God’s love remains steadfast even in suffering.
1 Peter 4:1 (ESV):
“Since therefore Christ suffered in the flesh, arm yourselves with the same way of thinking, for whoever has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin.”
Our suffering aligns us with Christ’s sacrificial example.
1 Peter 3:14 (ESV):
“But even if you should suffer for righteousness’ sake, you will be blessed. Have no fear of them, nor be troubled.”
Righteous suffering brings blessings.
Philippians 1:29 (ESV):
“For it has been granted to you that for the sake of Christ you should not only believe in him but also suffer for his sake.”
Suffering is part of our calling as believers.
May these verses bring comfort and encouragement as Christ in you navigates your life as we all face the upcoming challenges of the End Times.
In our following productions and essays, we’ll explore each encouragement, dissect the challenges, and uncover the timeless truths that empower us to stand firm. For the suffering believers of the End Times, this is our rallying cry: “In all these things, we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.” (Romans 8:37)
Stay tuned for the journey ahead.

Since I was a little girl, motherhood has always appealed to me. Because of growing up with a sacrificial, nurturing Mom & interacting with involved grandmothers, it seemed natural to love children & to view the home as a top priority. I always wanted to be married & have a family. Contrary to present cultural attitudes, & after 47 years of marriage, 45 years of answering to “Mom”, & 21 years of being “Oma”, I can still attest to the TRUTH that raising a family is/has been the most stretching, challenging, spiritually needy, practical experience of my life!
LIFE-LONG LABOR
It doesn’t take a new mom very long to conclude that there’s a huge gap between what she knows in her head & what she feels capable of in her heart. You prepare in all external matters for the birth of your child, but NO ONE prepares you, spiritually, for what will be required of you, except an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ. I remember the first time I heard God directing me in my parenting. One of my toddlers was crying & I couldn’t get her to stop. I felt inept & frustrated! That’s when I heard a whisper/unction in my mind, “Sing her Jesus Loves me.” You’re kidding me, right Lord? Can it be this simple? Those expert parenting books never suggested this! I don’t recall what started the tears in the first place. But, when you’re emotionally backed into a corner, as a mom, the place to fall is on your knees & the only place to look is UP. So, I started singing &, as the Lord would have it, she was sound asleep before the song was over.
Later in my mothering journey, I had another milestone parenting moment. At the time we were living in Arizona. At the request of my 3 daughters, we began homeschooling. Our family was 23 hours away, I had no friends or church support to speak of, & Steve’s new job kept him away from home most of his waking hours. I felt like a “greenhorn” at formally educating my girls. In a moment of fear & weakness, God led me to 2 verses of scripture. I’ve shared this lesson many times through the years, encouraging moms never to give up on raising another generation—especially when the responsibility seems overwhelming. I read, “My children, with whom I am again in labor until Christ is formed in you…” (Galatians 5:19) The Greek word for formed {Morphoo} is only used in this verse, describing the Christian as a little child who needs to mature. God reminded me that, yes, I had labored physically to birth my girls & I daily worked to see that their needs were met. But, more importantly, my primary responsibility as a mother was to labor spiritually to see Christ formed in them. This labor is life-long, passing along the Truth as God sanctifies me. You can’t expect more from children than you do from yourself. To do so is hypocrisy & will likely create anger in their sensitive hearts. In Biblical terms, they’ll be exasperated. We women love to share labor & delivery stories. How much more important that we share our spiritual labors & victories to encourage each other! This is true no matter how old your children (or you) are.
The second verse God led me to, that day, was I Timothy 1:9. “But the goal of our instruction is love from a pure heart & a good conscience & a sincere faith.” If our children, of any age, have that kind of fruit, what else could we possibly want for them? THIS IS WHAT GOD WANTS FOR US! From my early days to the present as an Oma, God faithfully leads me back to the same question: “What are you showing me, Lord, about me?” My life, laid bare before Him, is always the starting point. I desire to model, the best I know how, honest dependency on the Lord. It’s the only “eternal weight of glory” gift I can give, this side of heaven. In the end—money, possessions & achievements mean nothing. Death shows no partiality. For me, this transparency requires the life-long awareness of keeping myself free from offenses…both harboring them or intentionally causing them. There’s simply too much at stake, for eternity, to risk letting pride destroy meaningful relationships. Pride also blocks experiential freedom with the Lord.
As the saying goes, “Mothers hold their child’s hand for a little while, but they hold their child’s heart forever.” Little hands require a lot of physical energy.
Bigger hands require a lot of prayer! NEVER EVER stop praying. God is at work in ways we can’t see. And a mother is a mother to the end! Whether you are a natural, adoptive, foster, or spiritual mom, I pray these verses inspire you in your labors with your “kids.” God’s unique design for women can’t be replaced or erased by changing cultural norms. What a privilege! Trust Him, alone, to fulfill this special purpose in you!

GENDER CONFUSION WITHIN CULTURE
In a rural community lived a young man named, Eli. His family attended the small stone church at the heart of the community, where old hymns reverberated through ancient rafters, and the stained-glass windows told stories of faith and sacrifice.
Eli was different. Not in the way that children usually are—quirky, imaginative, or shy—but in a way that made him question everything. You see, Eli felt like an oddball out of place in their conservative community. Dark spirits whispered secrets to him, secrets he dared not share with anyone else.
One day, as he was on his phone, he observes images his eyes should not have shadowed. Eli saw an image of a boy who had transitioned into a little girl. It aroused passions tempting him to read the story. Eli’s heart felt heavy, like a stone sinking into the depths. But yet…it confirmed his buried hidden secrets.
“Why, Lord?” he whispered, tears dripping on to his phone. “Why do I feel this way? Why does my reflection in the mirror seem foreign?”
As Eli sat in his backyard, the wind rustled the leaves, and Eli imagined God leaning down to listen. But the answers didn’t come. Instead, he felt a tangle of emotions—fear, shame, longing—all woven together like a piece of fabric.
Eli sought solace in the Bible. He read about creation and how God formed Adam from dust and breathed life into him. He read about Eve, the first woman, fashioned from Adam’s rib. But what if, he wondered, there were other threads in God’s design? Threads that didn’t fit neatly into God’s creation.
His father, wise and kind, listened as Eli poured out his heart telling him of his struggle in not feeling like a boy. “Son,” the father said, “we are all special in the eyes of God. Some are vibrant and bold, others soft and gentle. But each has a purpose.”
Eli nodded, but the ache remained. He watched the girls twirl in their dresses during Sunday school, their laughter like birdsong. He envied their ease, their certainty. Eli wondered, why couldn’t he be like them?
One stormy night, Eli dreamt of a celestial story. Angels wove threads of light, creating galaxies and constellations. And there, in the corner, sat a spool of shimmering thread labeled “Eli.” It glowed with hues of both sunrise and the radiance of God.
One of the angels approached. “Eli,” he said, “God created you unique. It holds the tension between earth and sky, between questions and answers. You are fearfully and wonderfully made.”
“But I don’t fit,” Eli protested. “I’m frayed, tangled.”
The angel smiled. “Your purpose is not to fit neatly. It’s to reveal the beauty of God’s mystery. Your life was created to have empathy for those who feel out of place. You are called to whisper grace to the lost.”
Eli woke with tears on his pillow. He knew then that his struggle wasn’t a curse but a sacred calling. He didn’t need to choose between boy and girl; he needed to choose between God or himself - embrace the tension, the colors that defied easy categorization.
He woke and rushed to tell his father of the dream. His father smiled, then offered to have him share in church. Eli stood before the congregation that Sunday, trembling but resolute. “I am Eli,” he declared, “a creation of God’s mastery. I don’t have all the answers, but God has spoken. I was struggling with the depraved desire to become a girl.” Eli went on to tell his story and about the dream God used to get his attention.
The church held its breath. Some nodded, understanding. Others shifted uncomfortably. But Eli felt a peace settle over him—the peace that surpasses understanding.
In time, Eli’s life unfolded. He became an advocate, a missionary of sorts, for those who felt like misfits. He listened to their stories, shared his own, and offered a bridge of compassion to his Savior. And when the stained-glass windows caught the morning light, they revealed a new story: Eli, standing at the crossroad, where he accepted God’s grace in the reason God made him, the way he was.
Thousands of children like Eli dominate the news. While Eli found salvation in Christ, being rescued from depraved ideologies, most children do not have Godly parents, or leaders, to direct them back to God’s creational doctrines. Satan, indeed, is stealing the hearts and minds of our children.
This is for all those who hope to save the Elis’ in the world.
The Biblical view of sexuality in light of contemporary issues and sexual diversity is one of the most dangerous ideologies fronting the Church today. As an authentic Christian reader, you’ll appreciate the depth and relevance of this topic.
God’s Design for Sexuality: According to the Bible, sexuality is a God-given gift that should be cherished and celebrated within the context of marriage between one man and one woman. Genesis chapter 1 defines human beings (and animals) in physical and sexual terms as “male and female.” God intended sex to be a sacred act of intimacy and procreation within the bounds of marriage.
Sexual Immorality: The Bible teaches that sexual immorality is a sin. This includes any sexual activity outside of the marriage covenant. Adultery, fornication, and other forms of sexual misconduct are explicitly condemned. God’s design is for sexual expression to occur exclusively within the commitment of marriage - one woman, one man.
Challenges and Contemporary Issues: In today’s world, we encounter various sexual diversity issues, including:
* Same-Sex Relationships: The Bible consistently upholds the heterosexual model of marriage. However, discussions around same-sex relationships continue to be irrelevant and complex.
* Gender Identity: The Bible recognizes the existence of sexuality being defined by the Word of God - one man + one woman = God’s plan.
* Transgenderism: While the Bible doesn’t directly address transgenderism, we can approach this topic with compassion and seek to understand it from a biblical perspective, which is transgenderism is immoral and not of God. Some theologians explore ancient expressions of transgenderism and attempt to integrate this misnomer into the Church. They are dead wrong.
Grace and Restoration: As indwelt Christians, we must approach sexual diversity with love, empathy, and grace. Our role is not to judge but to extend Christ’s love to all individuals, regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity, WHILE we point out their immorality. We recognize that everyone is on a journey, and our hope lies in God’s ultimate restoration through the indwelling Life of Jesus, which is His ideal in eternity. Until that happens, the logic of the Scriptures will remain impotent.
Theological Frameworks: Different secularist Christian frameworks exist for understanding sexual diversity - keeping in mind these three are not of God:
* Self-Promoting: Emphasizes living consistently with one’s true self.
* Self-Expressive: Views sexual diversity as a form of self-expression.
* Self-Diversity: Celebrates the uniqueness of each individual.
Great Controversy: Consider that the lion’s share of churches is adopting Sexual Diversity, self-determining what is good and evil, and recognizing that all humans are affected by this ideation in one form or another. Most, by the way, cave in due to having loved ones who struggle with what Eli struggled with.
Conclusion: Instead of caving in to our youth’s twisted desires and confusion, we authentic believers need to lead them back to the Spirit of Truth. As we engage with sexual diversity, let us remember that our primary calling is to love God and love our neighbors. We need to seek to uphold biblical principles while extending grace and understanding to those with diverse experiences.
In summary, the Biblical view of sexuality emphasizes God’s design, sexual purity within marriage, and compassionate engagement with contemporary issues, while remaining true to the Holy Word of God. May we approach this topic with wisdom, humility, and Christ-as-Life love.

I admire most of our country’s First Ladies. However, Laura Bush holds a special place in my heart! While serving her husband as one of the founders of his Faith-Based Initiative, I learned the truth of an old adage, “Behind every good man is a great woman.” This certainly is the case with Laura.
In our production, you will hear her own words as she shares the short version of her life story. As I reflect upon the life and contributions of Laura Bush, I am filled with deep admiration. Her grace, intelligence, and unwavering commitment to education and literacy have left an indelible mark on our world.
Due to my own struggles with literacy, Laura’s dedication to promoting literacy through initiatives like the National Book Festival immediately caught my attention and resonated with me. She understood that knowledge is a powerful tool—one that empowers individuals and transforms communities. Her passion for reading and learning inspired countless others to embrace the written word. For me, this was a lifelong struggle that ended in victory. In this, we found a common passion.
Beyond her advocacy work, Laura’s quiet strength during challenging times is like no other—whether as the First Lady of Texas or the United States—commands respect. Her compassion for those affected by global health issues, such as HIV/AIDS and malaria, exemplifies true leadership. She was the feet to her husband’s Faith-Based Initiative.
Laura Bush’s legacy extends far beyond political boundaries. She embodies the values of authentic faith, empathy, kindness, and service. Her love for family, her commitment to women’s causes, and her unwavering faith in Christ are qualities that inspire me daily.
In a world often marked by divisiveness, Laura’s ability to bridge gaps and foster understanding is a radiant light of hope in a troubled world. Her legacy reminds us that leadership is not about power, but about making a positive difference in the lives of others.
Thank you, Laura Bush, for your enduring impact and the example you set for me and generations to come.
