THE MOTHER & HER BRANCHES
Once upon a time, in a quaint village nestled amidst the rolling hills of Kansas, there lived a mother and grandmother named Jane. She was known far and wide for her gentle spirit, her eyes reflecting both the warmth of the sun and the depth of her Dutch heritage. Jane’s days were filled with threads of love, and her heartbeat was in rhythm with the seasons.
Jane had three daughters, Abigail, Elizabeth, and Jessica. Their laughter echoed through their humble home, and their eyes held the promise of a thousand tomorrows. But life was not without its trials. Jane’s husband had sailed across distant seas for their blooming ministry, leaving her to tend to their little home and nurture their children alone.
Their friends and family marveled at Jane’s devotion. She was like a lily, delicate yet resilient, blooming even in the harshest of storms. Her hands, calloused from toil, cradled their children’s dreams as if they were fragile petals. She taught them to read by candlelight, weaving tales of faith and courage into every syllable. The Bible became their homeschool compass, and prayer their daily bread.
One spring morning, Jane noticed a patch of barren soil near their doorstep. The earth was hard, unyielding—a reflection of her own weariness. But Jane was not one to accept defeat. She knelt, her fingers digging into the ground, and whispered a prayer. “Lord,” she said, “breathe life into this soil. Let it bear fruit.”
And so, Jane tended to that patch of earth. She watered it with tears shed in secret, and her devotion softened the soil. Soon, a tiny shoot emerged—a fragile sapling with leaves like emerald wings. Jane named it “Grace,” as it was the middle name of their firstborn.
Grace grew, its roots intertwining with the hearts of their children. It flourished, its blossoms releasing a fragrance that reached the heavens. The community marveled anew, for they saw not just a plant but a living parable. Jane’s devotion had transformed barrenness into abundance.
As the children grew, Jane’s role expanded. She became not only a mother but also a teacher, a healer, and a beacon of hope. When the storms of doubt threatened to uproot their children’s faith, Jane stood firm, her arms outstretched like branches, sheltering them. She whispered ancient Biblical truths into their ears, reminding them that God’s love was deeper than any ocean and brighter than the sun.
One day, as the sun dipped below the horizon, casting a golden glow upon their humble home, their firstborn asked, “Mother, why do you care for Grace with such tenderness? It’s just a tree.”
Jane smiled, her eyes reflecting the fading light. “My dear,” she said, “Grace is more than a tree. She is a living parable—a reminder that devotion can turn barrenness into beauty. Just as I care for her, God cares for us. His love softens our hearts, transforms our struggles, and brings forth life.”
And so, The Mother and Her Branches became a symbol of Jane’s devotion—a testament to the power of sacrificial love. When her children, and now eleven grandchildren, faced storms of their own—a prodigal journey, a broken heart—Jane remained steadfast. She prayed, watered the soil of the souls of their offspring, and believed that Grace would bloom once more.
In the quiet of her elder years, Jane whispered her final prayer: “Lord, let my devotion be a legacy—a fragrance that lingers long after I’m gone. May my children’s children know Your love as deeply as Yours for me.”
So, the tree continued to bloom, its petals catching the morning dew. Jane’s devotion echoed through generations, reminding all who passed by their humble home that a mother’s love, like God’s Grace, was both fragile and eternal.
A NOTE FROM THE AUTHOR:
Thank you, my beloved, for being my Ruth, my Mary, my Esther, my Janie. May our elder days be Psalms, our night hymns, and our love an eternal echo in the halls of heaven piercing the hearts of our children’s children. And as the sun sets on the final years of our lives together, casting golden hues upon the hearth of our souls, I hold your hand—the sacred scroll of our love, and I whisper one last time:
“Your hands, like those of the Proverbs 31-woman, weave threads of Grace into our home. You rise before the sun, your lamp never extinguished, tending to our family’s needs with unwavering devotion. Your wisdom surpasses rubies, and your laughter dances like a brook in the wilderness. Thank you, my bride, for being a mother to our precious children.”

GOD’S PROPHETIC LOVE
The power of God’s love is profoundly evident in His prophecies. The Bible contains numerous verses that emphasize the importance of prophecies. His love knows no bounds or conditions. It remains steadfast, regardless of our flaws or past mistakes and sins.
When we embrace this love, it reshapes our perspectives, heals wounds, and empowers us to love others sacrificially. Prophecies reveal God’s love. Warnings of destruction aren’t revenge; they’re out of love, urging repentance and change.
Prophets, as evidence of God’s care, show His love for His children. God’s love in His prophecies is unwavering, sacrificial, and transformative. It beckons us to embrace hope, redemption, and eternal life.
2 Peter 1:21 (ESV):
“For no prophecy was ever produced by the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.”
This verse highlights that true prophecies originate from God and are divinely inspired.
Amos 3:7 (ESV):
“For the Lord God does nothing without revealing his secret to his servants the prophets.”
God communicates His plans and purposes through His chosen prophets.
Acts 2:16-21 (ESV):
“But this is what was uttered through the prophet Joel: ‘And in the last days it shall be, God declares, that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh, and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams; even on my male servants and female servants in those days I will pour out my Spirit, and they shall prophesy. And I will show wonders in the heavens above and signs on the earth below, blood, and fire, and vapor of smoke; the sun shall be turned to darkness and the moon to blood, before the day of the Lord comes, the great and magnificent day.’”
This passage speaks of the outpouring of the Holy Spirit and the role of prophecy in the last days.
1 Corinthians 14:3 (ESV):
“On the other hand, the one who prophesies speaks to people for their upbuilding and encouragement and consolation.”
Prophecy serves to edify, encourage, and console believers.
Joel 2:28-32 (ESV):
“And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, and your young men shall see visions. Even on the male and female servants in those days I will pour out my Spirit. And I will show wonders in the heavens and on the earth, blood and fire and columns of smoke. The sun shall be turned to darkness, and the moon to blood, before the great and awesome day of the Lord comes. And it shall come to pass that everyone who calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved."
This prophetic passage emphasizes the widespread impact of the Spirit’s work and the ultimate salvation through faith.
2 Peter 2:1-22 (ESV):
“But false prophets also arose among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, bringing upon themselves swift destruction.”
This warns against false prophets and underscores the importance of discernment.
In summary, prophecies play a crucial role in God’s communication with humanity, guiding believers, warning against deception, and pointing toward the fulfillment of His plans. He does this because of love - not hatred or punishment.

A former pastor once said, “There’s no pain like family pain.” I would agree, as I’ve seen my share of it. It feels very in-your-face because in my mind, these are the folks who are supposed to love me the most. A false expectation? I don’t think so… not in the Biblical sense anyway. Plus, it’s how I was raised. When other people fail you, family stands beside you, no matter what. When a family conflict erupts, it’s fertile breeding ground for the enemy of our souls to wreak havoc & long- term division. Those dynamics are most certainly a refining “tool.” As the saying goes, you can choose your friends but not your family. That’s God’s call. We sometimes assume that we know what other people, or family members, mean by their words & actions, because of past encounters or associations. The irony is, we don’t even have to see these folks regularly, to grapple with living the truth in perceived hard relationships.
THE HARDEST QUESTION
In my quest to love my “sandpaper” people, God brought the truth of I Peter 4:12-19 to my attention. In summary, we are called to share the sufferings of Christ & entrust our souls to our faithful Creator in doing what is right. Jesus was pretty much rejected throughout His entire ministry, in one form or another. Some folks experience that with family or friends. Despite changes for the better in their lives, they are viewed through old labels from the past & held guilty. Jesus lived under constant scrutiny. In His greatest hour of need, His disciples slept while He prayed, agonizing over what He knew to be His Father’s will, to the point of sweating blood (Luke 22:44). My point? He understands relational pain. He was preparing to die for His accusers who unjustly hated Him & misunderstood Him. By choice, He walked the path of obedient submission to His Father’s plan of the Cross, ultimately setting those who believed in Him, & received Him, free for eternity! What an indescribable gift!
As much as I’d like to coddle my hurt & wallow in self-pity when I’ve been hurt & misrepresented to others, God continually confronts me with this question: “What am I teaching you, about yourself, in this situation?” This is the hardest question for me to embrace. It applies to everything in my life…relational dynamics, hard circumstances, & irritating inconveniences. It keeps my eyes off other people, or what’s happening to me, and forces me look at myself – be it my sinful reactions, my insecurities, or the lies I’m believing that caused me to emotionally “tank.” I will admit, it’s difficult to wrap my arms around the truth of honest appraisal. But in the long run, this great sifting tool of the Lord frees me… if I remain teachable & embrace what the Spirit reveals through the Word, prayer, and mature believers. I’m left without excuse if I’m going to walk in the truth of who Christ is in me.
I believe ill-spoken words reap some of the most devastating effects in life. Flesh thrives on gossip. Its natural bent is to be drawn to idle chatter while feeding on comparison. Like it or not, we are all presently living in the exploding effects of social media allowing the revolving door of lies to multiply. Almost every detail can be had for the searching. What’s right is now wrong and what’s wrong is easily embraced as “normal.” It’s confusing, chaotic & it makes my brain spin. What a great forest is set afire by the tongue! We bless the Lord, on one hand, while we curse men made in His image, on the other. (Read all about in James 3:1-12)
It isn’t easy for me to love people who I know have delighted in erroneously passing on information about me for no good purpose.
Honestly, it isn’t natural for me to forgive them either. I don’t have the wherewithal, for either, in my own strength. But Jesus does. He’s had more experience in loving & forgiving than any human ever will! When I let go & ask God to change me, Jesus Christ is free to love & forgive through me. Recently, I was reminded, in scripture, to pray for folks who are deliberately hurtful. I’ve wondered if it’s possible for the Holy Spirit to truly reside in a heart that takes “delight” in a destructive, lifestyle pattern of gossip? Is it possible for someone to be indwelt by the life of Christ, & still enjoy seeing other people hurt? No one is perfect but I think you know what I’m trying to communicate here. Individuals, organizations, & churches have been irreparably destroyed by gossip. God has led me to pray for these folks to know Jesus Christ, intimately, in whatever way they are lacking.
This prayer habit is also a good check for my own speech. Do my words reflect, & honor, my Savior? Not always. I’m grateful for His leading, teaching, & refining. We are all a work in progress. My focus & energies are better spent praying for the confirmed salvation of my verbal persecutors. In the end, that’s what matters for eternity. And who knows? Maybe God is using my life for their good after all. And they don’t even know it.

THE CIVIL WAR OF THE LUMINARIES
In the not-so-distant future, in the bustling city of Washington, D.C., there lived a young journalist named Abigail. Her ink-stained fingers swished across her journal, weaving stories of truth and justice. Abigail believed her words could change the world, but little did she know that her most significant revelation lay hidden in the shadows. She became trapped in a Civil War.
Washington, DC, was a land divided—a fragile equilibrium between two powerful factions: the Luminaries and the Freedom Fighters. The Luminaries, led by the charismatic President Belial, promised enlightenment, progress, and unity. Their emblem—a radiant pentagram—adorned every street corner, casting a golden glow over the city.
Abigail, fueled by curiosity and a relentless pursuit of truth, dug deeper. She followed cryptic leads, whispered secrets, and clandestine meetings. Her investigations led her to an underground network—the Dark Webmasters. They spoke of a hidden truth, a shadowy figure pulling the strings behind the scenes.
One moonless night, Abigail met the enigmatic Webmaster known as Orion. His eyes held galaxies of knowledge, and his voice resonated like a forgotten prophecy. “The five points of light blinds us,” he said. “But the moon reveals the shadows of a grave leader.”
Orion revealed that President Belial was no beacon of light but a puppet master orchestrating chaos for his gain. The false world leader had ignited tensions between the Luminaries and the Freedom Fighters, pushing them toward the brink of war. The city teetered on the edge as it spread throughout the nation, and Abigail’s quill trembled with the weight of revelation.
She penned her exposé—an allegory that turned nonfiction, woven in ink and fire. The title: “The Eclipse of Washington DC.” Abigail’s words engraved her fears as she wrote unspeakable words on the pages of her journal, revealing President Belial’s true identity—a shadow draped in golden robes. His promises were hollow, his intentions sinister. The points of light that once symbolized hope now cast a malevolent glow.
As Abigail’s article hit the public, the city erupted. Citizens read her words with wide eyes, torn between loyalty and doubt. The Freedom Fighters rallied, their emblem—a lone star—gaining newfound strength. The streets echoed with chants: “Truth over tyranny.”
President Belial, cornered by the truth, clung to power. He declared martial law, silencing dissent and branding Abigail a traitor. The quill had become a sword, and Abigail—once a mere journalist in waiting—now stood at the heart of a revolution.
The American Civil War in Washington, D.C. unfolded, quickly spreading throughout the land—a tempest of ideologies, blood, and ink. Abigail’s allegory became a reality—the points of light and the lone star locked in a celestial battle. The city burned, torn between blind loyalty and awakened consciousness.
In the darkest hour, Abigail faced a choice: expose the final secret—the hidden puppeteer orchestrating both factions—or let the city crumble. She sought the indwelling life of Yeshua, who whispered, “The truth is a double-edged sword. It can save or destroy.”
Abigail’s quill trembled once more. She penned the ultimate revelation: the puppeteer’s name—Belial was the final Antichrist. The city was the false world leader, perpetuating division to maintain control. The Luminaries and Freedom Fighters were mere pawns in its game.
As Biblical prophecies aligned, Washington, DC, shattered. Belial was rushed off to his home in middle earth. The people rose, not against each other, but against their puppeteer. Abigail’s words echoed through the smoke-filled streets: “The battle has just begun, take up the Sword of the Spirit, for this puppeteer can only be destroyed by the maker of Truth.”
And so, the false world leader shifted his power to its global sources, its golden facade showing signs of crumbling. Abigail’s quill, now stained with blood and ink, etched a new chapter—A United Elect, where truth prevailed over deception.
In the aftermath, Abigail stood atop the ruins, her non-fiction conviction etched into history. The Freedom Fighters claimed a victory. And the city, once divided, whispered her name—a young journalist who ignited a revolution with ink and revelation has warned us of more Civil Wars that will shift to the global masses.
The first American Civil War holds a unique place in history, and its impact resonates far beyond the battlefield. Justice would be served to explore the Biblical perspectives that emerged during this tumultuous period:
The Biblical View:
* The first American Civil War is often considered one of the most religiously charged conflicts in modern history.
* Both sides—the Union and the Confederacy—drew inspiration from evangelical ideas rooted in their understanding of the world and their respective causes.
* Revivals swept through the armies, and soldiers on both sides claimed the Bible as their own, seeking divine guidance and support.
Divine Providence and Ironies:
President Abraham Lincoln eloquently captured the ironies of the war in his Second Inaugural Address in March 1865.
* He acknowledged that both sides read the same Bible and prayed to the same God, yet each invoked divine aid against the other.
* Lincoln recognized the limits of human knowledge regarding God’s purposes, emphasizing the complexity of interpreting divine will in the midst of conflict.
Biblical Interpretation:
Americans during the Civil War expressed unwavering certainty about how biblical passages applied to contemporary events.
* Clergy, laypeople, and soldiers freely interpreted God’s purposes in history, often with apocalyptic undertones.
* The Bible served as a lens through which they understood battles, outcomes, and social transformations like emancipation.
African Americans and Emancipation:
* For African Americans, the Bible held profound significance during the war.
* Verses about Ethiopia stretching out its arms to God took on special meaning as nearly four million slaves were freed.
* Spirituals and biblical stories provided African American slaves with a theology that connected their lives to ancient passages and prophecies.
Personal Encouragement and Spiritual Strength:
Soldiers, facing physical hardships, separation from loved ones, and the horrors of battle, turned to the Bible for solace.
* They memorized verses, quoted Scripture in letters, and drew strength from biblical stories.
* Chaplains reinforced the message that their actions played a crucial role in realizing a narrative foretold or sanctioned in the Bible.
Displacement of Biblical Interpretation:
The battle for the Bible during the slavery controversy and the Civil War marked a shift away from a world where the Bible itself was the primary mode of interpreting contemporary events.
As the war unfolded, other interpretive frameworks emerged, and the Bible’s role evolved.
Sadly, the modern-day believers in Christ adopted a warmongering theology of starting and ending wars - standing up for “rights” that Jesus never gave them.
In summary, the American Civil War was not only fought on battlefields but also within the hearts and minds of those who sought God’s guidance. The Bible, with its timeless wisdom and promises, provided comfort, conviction, and a lens through which to understand the unfolding drama of history.
THE SECOND AMERICAN CIVIL WAR
Unfortunately, the second Civil War will be mute on the topic of Biblical logic, at least for most folks. If, and most likely, when, this war erupts - it will be a battle over the freedom to sin. While Freedom Fighters will be waring to protect their country and capitalistic rights, most will maintain their hatred and depraved acts of self-justified quarrels.
What causes quarrels and what causes fights among you? Is it not this, that your passions are at war within you? (James 4:1)
As a result of this immovable Truth, God will not provide a defense for the Freedom Fighters of this Civil War. In fact, in the end, God allows this final Antichrist to win hands down for seven short years. Since humanity cannot escape the words spoken in James, He defaults to ending the power of the Antichrist personally in His Second Coming.
You desire and do not have, so you murder. You covet and cannot obtain, so you fight and quarrel. You do not have, because you do not ask. You ask and do not receive, because you ask wrongly, to spend it on your passions. (James 4:2-3)
The second American Civil War will expand into a global war - a war that cannot be won by mere humans. This will be a time when humans authentically realize the power of Satan and his demonic forces - forces that can only be defeated by the direct power of God through His Son.

When it comes to leadership, there are various styles that leaders can adopt. Especially when it comes to political ideologies.
Voting for a President with high levels of integrity and honesty is crucial for the well-being of our nation. Here’s a few good reasons why:
National Security:
An honest President ensures that national security remains a top priority. Trustworthy leadership prevents internal vulnerabilities and external threats, safeguarding our country against harm.
Global Reputation:
A President with integrity fosters positive relationships on the international stage. Other nations view us as reliable partners when our leaders consistently act with honesty and transparency. And more significantly, maintains a good relationship with institutions of faith.
Restoring Trust:
In an era of corrupt politicians, trust in government institutions is essential for a healthy democracy - a representative democracy. An honest President can restore faith in the system, encouraging citizens to actively participate in civic life, while having the freedom to speak freely with spiritual dogma.
Accountability and Credibility:
Honest leadership holds itself accountable to We the People. When a President admits mistakes, corrects course, and prioritizes truth, it strengthens the credibility of our nation and its religious institutions.
Remember, our votes shape the future. Let’s choose leaders who embody integrity and honesty, ensuring a brighter path for our nation!
When searching for a healthy candidate with pure motives and policies, I believe the candidate must be able to “check the boxes” of the following requirements.
Visionary Leadership Style:
This style involves inspiring and guiding others toward a shared faith and vision of our founding father’s documents. Visionary leaders have a clear and compelling vision of the future, which they effectively communicate to their voters. Their ability to articulate this vision motivates and energizes their followers, fostering a sense of unity and commitment.
A Presidential candidate should inspire and lead with a strong vision, this style might resonate with you.
Coaching Leadership Style:
Coaching leaders focus on helping those who assist them to reach their full potential. They provide guidance, mentorship, constructive feedback, and promote skill-building. By creating an environment conducive to continuous learning and improvement, coaching Presidential leaders support personal development and growth.
The candidate should advance individual growth and development, the coaching style is used to accomplish this.
Flexable leadership:
There are additional leadership styles, such as transformational, servant, structural, participative, and freedom-oriented leadership. Each has its own strengths and limitations, and effective Presidential leaders learn to adapt their style based on the situation at hand.
For a comprehensive understanding of a candidate’s styles, you might want to explore further reading and research resources.
Remember, leadership is not one-size-fits-all. The best candidate adapts their approach based on context, organizational dynamics, and the needs of their country. As a citizen, you may find parallels between effective leadership and the principles you believe, such as grace, authenticity, and faith in Christ. Feel free to explore these leadership styles in more depth and consider how they align with your values and mission as a voter!
TWO DISTINCTLY DIFFERENT CANDIDATES
Discerning voting between two distinctly different Presidential candidates through the wisdom of Christ is a crucial responsibility for every citizen. Here’s why:
Prayerful Consideration:
As indwelt believers of Christ, we are called to seek wisdom through prayer and Biblical reflection of the Word of God. Before casting our votes, we should earnestly seek God’s guidance. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us to trust in the Lord and lean not on our own understanding.
Character and Integrity:
Evaluate the character and integrity of each candidate. Look beyond policies and consider their personal conduct, honesty, and consistency. Christ emphasized truthfulness and humility (John 8:32, Philippians 2:3-4).
Values Alignment:
Compare the candidates’ positions with biblical principles. Consider issues such as sanctity of life, justice, compassion, and care for the marginalized. Seek alignment with Christ’s teachings (Matthew 25:31-46).
Evaluate Personal Health:
Does the candidate maintain and host a healthy mental and physical ability to fill the seat of President of the United States? The office of the President is one of the top two most stressful jobs in America. It is important that the candidate has the mental and endurance to fulfill the responsibilities of such a position.
Leadership Qualities:
Assess their leadership qualities. Does a candidate exhibit humility, servant leadership, and a willingness to listen? Are they honest? Do they have the interests of the nation’s citizens? Are they willing to keep its citizens safe and protected from outsiders who look down upon America? Christ modeled servant leadership (Mark 10:42-45).
Impact on Others:
Consider the impact of their policies on society, especially the vulnerable. Christ’s concern for the least among us (Matthew 25:40) should guide our choices. Are they willing to protect life, liberty, and peace for our country?
Unity and Love:
Does the candidate strive for unity and love, even in political discourse. Do they avoid divisive rhetoric and seek common ground? Christ prayed for unity among believers (John 17:20-23).
Remember, our votes extend beyond personal preferences; they shape our nation’s future. Let’s vote with discernment and guided by Christ’s wisdom and love.
If you find yourself in a position where you cannot vote for either primary candidate, vote anyway. I have been in this position multiple times. When this happens, do a “write in” - put the name in the fill-in box that matches your values, fully knowing the candidate has little chance of winning.
As an indwelt writer and teacher for Christ, I am passionate about faith, I appreciate your commitment to voting for a Presidential candidate with integrity and a love for Jesus Christ. Here’s my heartfelt personal statement:
“My Commitment to Vote: A Choice Rooted in Faith and Jesus Christ.”
In this pivotal moment, I stand at the crossroads of civic duty and spiritual conviction. As a believer in Christ, my vote transcends mere politics; it becomes an act of worship—an offering of stewardship over the gift of democracy.

The Love of the Lion of Judah
The Lion of Judah is a powerful and amazing Biblical character who points directly to Jesus Christ as the LION. In Jesus’s first coming, the literal Son of God arrives as a lamb - the Lamb of God.
In the Gospel of John, we are given the TRUTH regarding the Lamb of God by John the Baptist: “Behold the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!” (John 1:29). This title carries profound theological weight and connects Jesus to the sacrificial practices of ancient Israel.
Isaiah’s Prophecy clearly supports the purpose of Jesus coming as a Lamb. Centuries before John’s proclamation, the prophet Isaiah vividly described God’s Servant as one who would be “like a lamb that is led to slaughter” (Isaiah 53:7). God knew the Jewish people would resonate with the imagery of a Lamb, as lambs had long been offered as sacrifices to God to cleanse people of their sins.
While gentiles arrogantly think Jesus died on the Cross for them, the TRUTH is that Jesus died for the Jewish people - to restore them back to the Hebrew God. However, when a non-Jewish person becomes born-again in Christ, they are graphed into the pure Jewish bloodline of Jesus, the Lion of Judah, from the tribe of Judah. Thus, when a gentile believer offends the Jewish people, they offend their true self AND Jesus. The masses might not like it, but Jesus came as the Lamb, was slaughtered, died, and rose from the dead FOR the Tribe of Judah. Thus, the logic in His Father naming Him THE LION OF JUDAH.
Before Jesus could come as the Lion of Judah in His second coming, He first had to be slaughtered like a lamb - become the final sacrifice for the sins of humanity. The lamb represents Jesus’s blood sacrifice.
Many modern-day “Christians” keep Jesus frozen in the image of a little lamb, which ultimately denies Him of His present position as the Lion of Judah - who will bring judgment, revenge, and rule the earth with an iron rod. As a result, the lion’s share of believers remains stuck in the rhetoric that Jesus is all about PEACE. While this is true regarding His first coming, His second coming is noted in Revelation as coming with a sword in hand & fire in His eyes. Oddly, this misconception causes modern believers to resist the prophetic doctrines within the book of Revelation.
To understand the significance of Jesus being the Lion of Judah, we must explore the Scriptures and the prophetic truths they reveal.
1. The Prophetic Roots
Genesis 49:8-12
In the book of Genesis, Jacob gathers his sons and speaks prophetically about their future role in the End Times prophecies. When he addresses Judah, he declares:
“Judah (Lion), your brothers will praise you; your hand will be on the neck of your enemies; your father’s sons (Jewish people) will bow down to you. You are a lion’s cub, Judah (Jesus); you return from the prey, my son. Like a lion he crouches and lies down, like a lioness (Bride of Christ)—who dares to rouse him? The scepter (iron rod) will not depart from Judah, nor the ruler’s staff (Shepherd) from between his feet, until he to whom it belongs shall come and the obedience of the nations shall be his (Lion of Judah). He will tether his donkey to a vine, his colt to the choicest branch; he will wash his garments in wine, his robes in the blood (Christ’s shed blood) of grapes. His eyes will be darker than wine, his teeth whiter than milk.” (Genesis 49:8-12)
In these verses, God reveals the prophetic knowledge of Jesus coming as the conquerer, a victorious King of kings who would descend from Judah’s lineage. This lion, foretold by Jacob, points to none other than Jesus Himself, Yeshua, God in human form—the Lion of the tribe of Judah.
2. Revelation’s Connection
Revelation 5:5
In the book of Revelation, Jesus’s beloved John inhabits a vision where one of the Heavenly 24 elders reveals the details surrounding Christ’s Second Coming as the Lion of Judah.
“Do not weep! See, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has triumphed. He is able to open the scroll and its seven seals.” (Revelation 5:5)
Here, the Lion of Judah emerges as the triumphant conqueror, the One who can unlock the mysteries of God’s prophetic plans. Jesus, the Lion, fulfills the promise and prophecy of God’s Word from Genesis to the book of Revelation.
3. The Love of the Lion
The Lion of Judah embodies both strength and love:
Strength: Like a lion, Jesus is fierce, unyielding, and unwavering in His purpose. He conquered sin, death, and darkness through His sacrificial love on the cross. When He returns, He will punish all those who refuted the offer of salvation in and through Himself - past & present of the moment of His return.
Love: The same Lion who roars with authority also extends His love to humanity. His sacrifice—greater than any earthly king’s—offers redemption, forgiveness, and eternal life. Jesus, the Lion of Judah, will keep His promise to all those who were martyred for the sake of Christ, by delivering eternal damnation to all those who offended His Bride. This will be the final earthly act of love Jesus displays for His Bride and the Heavenly hosts.
As believers, we find trust, love, hope, and confidence in the Lion of Judah. His love which includes the punishment of evil-doers, is beyond our understanding, and His roar echoes through eternity as a sweet act of love. While many will fall away before the Rapture, those who are alert to the theology of love and punishment will not only embrace both His strength and His love, but also realize that the book of Revelation is the greatest love letter Jesus inspired to be written for His people.
In review, the Lion of Judah represents the perfect blend of power. correction, punishment, pure love, and compassion—a love that roars and redeems. As we approach the culmination of the End Times, the love of the Lion of Judah remains both our anchor and our hope.
In these final days, let us hold fast to the sound doctrines of the book of Revelation, which confirms we are more than conquers, redeemed ones, and chosen Bridal members of the Lion of Judah.

It is one of my highest honors to introduce you to the writings of my beloved wife, Jane. She not only taught me to read and write but also inspired me in my creative writing. Many people have been blessed with her journal entries. Today, she begins as a Substack writer, and I could not be more excited.
Jane has scribed hundreds of journal entries over the years. As I read them, I was compelled to have her share them with the world through the IM Author Blog network. It took some motivation from the Lord, but she began posting them. To my surprise, her posts became the ‘most read’ entries on our network—I’m expecting the same phenomenon here on Substack. She is gifted at expressing her journey with the Lord in a real, raw, and relative way.

Grab your favorite cup of tea or coffee, find a cozy spot, and immerse yourself in the delightful world of my writing. Let the words dance across your mind, warming your heart as you sip and savor each inspiration from the Lord.
I started journaling 26 years ago after my sweet Mama went to be with Jesus. Up until that point, I had only written newsletter updates for our ministry support team. But without any earthly parents, writing became a way for me to express myself to God, my Heavenly Father, as well as chronicling the spiritual lessons I was learning. I was an early riser in those days. My norm was 5am. I loved the quiet before our busy days of schooling began.
With the passing of time, I accumulated quite a large collection of journals. In the newness of it all, I had fun choosing designs & receiving these resources as gifts. Over time, I discovered that the traditional spiral notebook still served my purposes the best. As I would share my lessons/writings with Steve, he would repeatedly say that I should write a devotional. My response was always the same. “Devotionals are a dime a dozen. Who would read what I wrote anyway?” With that mindset, I pretty much shelved the idea. I’m thankful for my journals. Rereading them is kind of like looking at photographs. It stimulates memories, both good & bad. But the best thing is, it reminds me of God’s faithfulness. It’s easy to see His plan interwoven in the tapestry of my life and it’s plain to see that He’s literally held me together, through thick & thin.
To this present day, I’ve asked Steve to destroy my journals, should I die before having the opportunity to edit them. My heart & soul, my tears & reactions, my joys & misgivings – are laid bare, & raw, on those pages. It’s a working out of my salvation that’s just too personal! And could be misinterpreted.
Other people, even family, don’t necessarily need to know the intimate details I experienced to gain understanding of my lessons. Thankfully, at some point along the way, my focus has shifted from what others think, to simply sharing what God was doing in my heart. It’s become my story, my testimony…hopefully for His glory. There is no limit to what He wants to show me. Along the way I started praying,
“Lord, just touch one person. Draw someone to Yourself by what You’ve done in my life. That will be enough.”
Then I narrowed that prayer down even more specifically. When I am gone from this earth, who do I want to impact, the most, through what I’ve written? Even more than my adult girls (who already know me for the most part), I want to leave an honest legacy of personally learned TRUTH, that will be available to my grandchildren. Presently, they range in age from 20 years old to 6 months. This includes Phoebe, Zion, Victoria, Grace, Wyatt, Montana, Logan, Gabriella, Ezekiel, Enoch, & Claire. I want them to continue knowing me, after I’m gone. Maybe my writing will encourage their faith in Jesus Christ, alone, in a generation that looks to be veering off course to lesser gods. As I tell them now, I carry them in my heart always. We are united by the Spirit of the Lord Jesus. When I’m in heaven, may that union continue, with all of them.
While reading in the book of 2 Peter, I noticed two passages where he says that though he knows death is imminent, the Lord Jesus has made it clear that while he is alive, he should “stir you (that includes us) up by way of reminder.”
The first mandate is in chapter 1:13-15. His diligence is for the purpose that when he dies, they will be able to recall the truth in their minds. He establishes his credibility by reminding them that he was an eyewitness to Jesus’ baptism, after which he warns them against false teaching (1:16- 2:22). Then, he restates the purpose of his letter, again, in chapter 3, verses 1&2. “I am stirring up your sincere mind by way of reminder, that you should remember the words spoken…” I said aloud,” This is it, Lord! This is why I write.”
Any of you who have experience in the kitchen know the value of “stirring the pot.” Blending ingredients makes for better flavor in the long run & is necessary for the desired outcome. Under the conditions of sudden heat (trials), stirring keeps food from burning. I think we can all see the spiritual parallels here. Writing is my way of stirring, both now, & after I’m gone from this earth. Perhaps my grands will read & be reminded – of my love for them, of our memories together, & that Jesus Christ wants to be their very Life, if He isn’t already.
Proverbs 17:6 says, “grandchildren (literally children, descendants) are the crown of old men…” I believe the main difference between parenting & grandparenting, in general, is that parents see the liabilities while grandparents see the potential. Parents are irritated by seeing their own flesh habits/responses in their children. Grandparents see that hearts matter a whole lot more than an outward change of behavior. From where I sit today, not much else matters except loving the Lord with everything in you. And loving the people He has put in your life…starting with family. Nothing else matters for eternity. What do you take with you to heaven? Nothing! But WHO you influenced to receive Christ, as their very Life, will make all the difference in their eternity.
I love my grands! I don’t see them as often as I’d like to. Distance, conflicting schedules, &, sometimes, even health issues interfere. So I pray for them. And I try to keep in touch as much as I am able. But more importantly, I now write, to stir their minds to remember, to call up the truth, to be resolved in their faith, and to truly embrace their spiritual inheritance & legacy in Christ. When they remember/recall the faith of their Opa & Oma, may they be able to say,
“The Lord is the portion of my inheritance and my cup; Thou dost support my lot. The lines have fallen to me in pleasant places; indeed, my heritage is beautiful to me.” (Psalm 16:5&6)

Everyone experiences being hated by someone at some point in their lives - even those who are kind and gentle. The question becomes, “why?”
"At that time many will fall away and will betray one another and hate one another.” (Matthew 24:10)
Jesus not only predicted that a time would come when the masses would default to “hate,” but He also said something so interesting that modern believers find next to impossible to believe, minimally, accept!
"Blessed are you when men hate you, and ostracize you, and insult you, and scorn your name as evil, for the sake of the Son of Man.” (Luke 6:22)
“Blessed?” I don’t think so!
Hate and blessing seem to be enemies of one another. Hate, that fleshly demonically inspired tempest within us, often wears the cloak of a curse. How could such a dark tempest be considered a blessing by Christ? But what if, just for a moment, we dared to see it differently - as Jesus sees it? What if hate were a blessing in disguise, a paradox woven into the mission of Jesus Himself?
Imagine hate as a chisel, relentlessly sculpting our souls, like burning off the dross of our fleshly habits. It chips away at our self-justified illusions, revealing raw edges and hidden fractures left over from the Adamic nature. In its fiery forge, hate refines us, burning away impurities of our self-life until we gleam with a newfound clarity of our identity in Jesus Christ.
Perhaps hate is the dark twin of sinful passion, inseparable yet distinct. It stirs the embers of our Christ-as-Life convictions, igniting flames that propel us forward to front a dark world. Without hate, would we see the immovable truth that God is Love? Without the shadows of hate, would the Light of Christ dazzle so brilliantly? NO, it would not.
Consider hate as the brewing storm that ignites the End Times that is shaping the landscape of modern prophecies. It uproots complacency, tearing down flimsy structures humanity built—false certainties, fragile egos, false gods, global empires, brittle prejudices, and manipulative plans of an approaching Antichrist. Amid the wreckage, seeds of growth take root in an authentic believer, nourished by the fertile soil of adversity and hatred.
THE DARK CAVE OF UNFORGIVENESS
Satan bathes in hatred twenty-four hours a day. People of hate are trapped, caged in, within the dark cave of unforgiveness. He manipulates humanity, particularly believers, to stray from God is Love to keep the masses outside of the will of God. Now, here is the “kicker…”
Unsaved, non-indwelt people have no power to forgive others, certainly NOT themselves. To escape Satan’s trap, one must become indwelt by the Life of Christ through the Holy Spirit. Until that movment of freedom, the masses have no other alternative but to hate and opinionate what they hate.
And what about the benefits of indwelling forgiveness? Hate, paradoxically, births a choice to release authentic forgiveness or if unsaved, ignites a humanistic form of forgivenes, which is the act of refusing to be a victim. In the experience of hating or being hated, we taste bitterness, and in releasing Christ’s forgiveness, we discover lasting freedom and authentic love. Hate, like a bitter herb, prepares our hearts for the feast of the Grace of Jesus.
So, it is a sin to dismiss hate outright. Instead, Jesus wants us to hold it up to the Light of His Life, turning it this way and that, examining its facets to discover its purpose. Perhaps, just perhaps, in many cases, hate is the dark mirror that reflects our own fleshy judgments—the jagged edges that keep us from accepting Jesus’s words, “Blessed are you when men hate you.”
"The world cannot hate you, but it hates Me because I testify of it, that its deeds are evil.” (John 7:7)
This ironic dance between hate and love is, in Jesus’s mind, an illusion. Jesus said it Himself - the world CANNOT hate you. Get this! On Heaven’s side, anytime a “hater” inflicts hate, they are, in God’s reality, hating His Son. Since authentic believers ARE the Bride of Christ, as in any marriage, when the wife is offended, the offense is to be carried by the Husband. I can assure you that Jesus will defend you! He writes every offense in the Book of Life. On His day of Judgment, He will punish all those who offended you AS His Bride. In this manner, hate becomes a blessing - that is, IF you do not retaliate by stepping down to the hater’s level of depravity.
So yes, hate can be a blessing—a fierce teacher, a catalyst for understanding the profound truths associated with being the Bride of Christ. Women and men today have lost the organic symphony of Biblical marriage and the responsibilities that come with each. Women defend themselves, and men cowardly run from defending their wives.
Hatred, like a relentless storm, threatens to engulf our global culture. It seeps into the crevices of our lives, corroding empathy and compassion. This culture of animosity, once an aberration, now festers as the new normal. But we indwelt believers must discover the beauty of considering it a blessing.
Recently, I participated in an online survey. The objective was to establish the measurement of online hatred through publications, social posting, media, and email deliveries. The results were mind-bending: Over 90% of the U.S. population was represented in online hate crime reports from 2018 to 2022. In 2024, those percentages jumped up to 94.8%. It was noted that during an election year, researchers expect a major spike, suggesting an increase to 98%.
Folks, that is a lot of hatred!
Furthermore, Christians and Jews can expect 61% more hatred than the general masses. All online populous can expect increased public support if they support the plurality of global religions that are equal in spiritual value. Since religions like Judaism and Christianity believe in a single God, online hatred is expected to rise for those online practitioners.
Hate, from a Biblical perspective, is a powerful and destructive force. Let’s explore the “why” it is considered wrong:
* God Is Love: The Bible unequivocally states that God is love. His very nature embodies love, compassion, and grace. Love is the essence of His character, and it extends throughout eternity. Hate, therefore, stands in direct opposition to this divine love, while it offends Jesus Christ personally.
* Toxic “Christians:” Hate is like a virus that infects the soul. At times, being around people of hate fuels wicked thoughts and actions of the once innocent, resulting in a toxic relationship. Oftentimes, it drives both parties to harm one another with words and, at times, physical violence. Whether it’s hatred toward others, other opinionates, or even oneself, it damages everything it touches, reinforcing an isolation that is demanded by their conscience.. Ultimately, hate blinds them from accepting or releasing the love and Life of Christ.
* Conflict and Division: Where there is hate, there is potential for violence. Hate leads to division, malice, and anger. It tears apart relationships and communities. It will ultimately destroy the world. The Bible’s prophecies warn us of such warnings against harboring hatred in our hearts. A type of hatred that rarely comes with an admission.
* Murder in the Heart: Jesus Himself equated hatred with murder. When we hate our brother or sister, we are, in essence, committing spiritual murder. The apostle John wrote, “Everyone who hates his brother is a murderer.”
* Lying Lips: Concealing hatred leads to lying lips. Few, and I mean few, take ownership of their hatred. You can front them with Truth repetitively, and their hostility grows all the more. For some demonic reason, they harbor hate as if it is some kind of twisted friend. Many times, they deceive themselves unto their graves. In fact, true people of hate can only be reached by a miracle of God.
In summary, people of hate are not only selfish; they are typically confessing guilt to not being authentically saved, being deceived by their emotions that set them against our Creator and fellow members of the Truth. Truth sayers become their enemy, and liars become their friends. To know the love of God is to be touched by Truth as a Person.
I am compelled to befriend haters! While I know that the odds of reaching the hearts of such people is next to impossible, I lean on God’s miraculous Love, to inspire them to overcome their fleshly drive to hate and become indwelt by the author and perfecter of Truth, Jesus Christ. Let us actively love those of hate and release our Lord’s goodness while rejecting their hatred. For this we know - Satan is out to devour their souls before they discover the power of God is Love.

Did you know that it takes 5-hours of labor for every minute of video production? It’s true. Including the labor costs, it demands an average of $1,225.00 to produce and market a 3-minute video. This does not count the cost of our writers’ time and effort in posting essays and articles with our media. These expenses include production costs, utilities, labor hours, software, social media fees, office supplies, equipment, accounting fees & labor, advertising, and other administrative overhead.
Did you know that IOM America has zero paid employees? This is also true. All of our workers are either volunteers or missionary-sponsored workers. As an example, my wife and I receive missionary support to pay our bills and sustain our day-to-day living expenses.
WE ARE CONNECTING WITH OTHERS
As we reflect on the year 2023, we are filled with gratitude and joy for the successes that God has granted us in Christ. We have witnessed His faithfulness, power, and grace in our lives and in our ministry. We have seen His Word transform hearts, His Spirit empower services, and His love unite people. We have experienced His provision, protection, and peace in the midst of challenges and uncertainties. We have grown in our knowledge, faith, and obedience to Him. In 2023, we saw these numbers:
* IOM America website: Received 80,000+ page views.
* IM Truth Campaign: 200+ text-to-phone subscribers.
* IM Author Blog: 64 posted articles.
* IM Online School: 824 registered students.
* The End Times Chronicles Substack: 15,000 monthly readers.
* Social Networks: 1.3 million distributions & inboxes.
* IM Constant Contact Emails: 696,780 sends.
* Dr. Phinney’s YouTube: 611.7 K views for 2023 – total views 2.6 million.
* Lion of Judah Films: 696,780 YouTube views + 9,000 website views.
* LinkedIn Partnerships: 6,700 connections + 7,781 followers.
* Donor Services: We have less than forty monthly financial contributors.
Our goal for 2024 is to increase these numbers by 30%. Since a mere 2% respond to media and publications, an increase of numbers raises the rate of transformed lives. However, with this God sized goal, it requires an increase in expenditures.
I thank God for placing you in my life. Because of Him, you helped lead me to seek and accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and savior. Only as of late, am I realizing just how blessed I am to be shielded by the Holy Spirit, against all the chaos and evil that is surrounding us. -Bill | Stubstack Author

God’s Love and Discipline
In the vast eternity of existence, where galaxies swirl, and angels hum, there exists a profound interplay between God’s love and indwelling Divine discipline. These twin forces, like eternal partners, shape our souls and guide our journey, allowing for the release of Christ in the believer. Check this out…
God’s Love: The Holy Obligation
Imagine the Creator—the weaver of nebulae, the sculptor of mountains—leaning down to whisper, “You are mine.” In that whisper resides the heartbeat of a Father who passionately desires to discipline His children - out of obligation.
God’s love envelopes love AND disciple. His immovable order birthed galaxies and painted sunsets. It cradles the sparrow’s fall and dances in the laughter of children. It reaches deep within the soul of His creation and releases suffering.
This love is not mere sentimentality; it is the very fabric of who God is and what He created. It holds evil and good, sinners and saints, in its tender grasp.
The Discipline With Grace
Ironically, love wields a stern blade—the blade of discipline. Like a master potter, God shapes us through trials, burning off our fleshly habits.
Hebrews 12:6 echoes across millennia: “Because the Lord disciplines the one He loves.” For those indwelt by His Son, not punishment, but refinement. Not wrath, but the surgeon’s scalpel.
Picture a sapling bending under the wind’s force. Its roots dig deeper, anchoring it. So, too, the Father uses this creational truth within our souls to grow resilient, authentic believers through the devil’s temptations.
Lessons from the Potter’s Wheel
While the unsaved are brought to fierce anger, God’s chosen Saints are disciplined to mold their character. It whispers, “You are more than your sins.” When we stray, it redirects our steps, like a compass pointing toward Heaven.
Consider Joseph, who was betrayed by family, enslaved, and imprisoned. Yet God’s love molded clay into redemption. Joseph forgave, saved nations, and found purpose.
Discipline is not rejection; it is an invitation to deeper intimacy. It beckons us to be renewed in Christ—to become vessels of Grace, vessels that pour the love and Life of Jesus Christ into a depraved world.
The Symphony of Redemption
God’s love and discipline are in perfect harmony with His eternal governance of Heaven’s side. The sweet harmony of Love, Grace, and correction blend seamlessly. A child who receives His discipline is music to our Lord’s ears.
When we stumble, love lifts us. When we rebel, discipline guides us back. The symphony crescendos toward restoration through Revelation - the book of Revelation. It is our love letter from God announcing His discipline.
Jesus, the Lamb of God, too, had to endure His Father’s discipline by suffering on the cross—a brutal paradox—epitomizes this act of love. Love bleeding, discipline absorbed. Redemption unfurling. Inner character revealed.
Our Response
Embrace both facets. When life’s storms rage, remember: God’s love shelters you. When the path narrows, discipline steadies your steps.
Pray for eyes to see love in trials, for ears attuned to Grace’s melody. Let discipline refine, not embitter.
And when doubts assail, gaze upon the empty cross. There, love and discipline kissed, birthing salvation.
In this grand narrative, we are both the clay and the beloved. Let us yield to the Potter’s hands, trusting that love shapes us, discipline refines us, and eternity awaits our transformed souls.
The Holy Word of God provides numerous teachings on discipline, emphasizing its importance in the life of indwelt believers.
Hebrews 12:11:
“For the moment all discipline seems painful rather than pleasant, but later it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.”
Proverbs 12:1:
“Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge, but he who hates reproof is stupid.”
Proverbs 13:24:
“Whoever spares the rod hates his son, but he who loves him is diligent to discipline him.”
1 Corinthians 9:27:
“But I discipline my body and keep it under control, lest after preaching to others I myself should be disqualified.”
Revelation 3:19:
“Those whom I love, I reprove and discipline, so be zealous and repent.”
Proverbs 3:11-12:
“My son, do not despise the Lord’s discipline or be weary of his reproof, for the Lord reproves him whom he loves, as a father the son in whom he delights.”
Proverbs 29:17:
“Discipline your son, and he will give you rest; he will give delight to your heart.”
Ephesians 6:4:
“Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.”
If our Lord would place such mandates upon His children, wouldn’t you think He Himself would love us enough to discipline us? That, my reader, is a rhetorical question. Of course, He would.
The Bible consistently portrays discipline as a vital aspect of God’s love and care for our Christian journey. It emphasizes both God’s corrective discipline as an expression of love and the believers’ responsibility for self-discipline to grow in faith and righteousness.
Punishment is Old Testament theology; discipline is New Testament terminology. The only humans who receive punishment are lost souls who refuted Jesus Christ.
The book of Revelation is not a demonstration of discipline for believers; it is the Father punishing all those who refused to accept His offer of a life of discipline through His beloved Son.
