Introduction, Discipleship in the Making: Many self-proclaimed “Christians” put their entire Christian experience in the day of their Salvation. Once saved, they continue to function by making use of their own mind, will, and emotions. This weakness sets all indwelt Christians in a position of needing discipleship, thus needing a Christ as Life Discipleship method.

A spiritual gift is a God given ability planted within your soul by the Holy Spirit activated upon the day of your salvation and is a direct manifestation of the Fruit of the Holy Spirit. Every member of the Body of Christ receives at least one.

Being obedient in the social area of life starts with the believer’s citizenship in Heaven and this is why we eagerly await for Husband, the Lord Jesus Christ (Phil. 3:20). All our earthly social behavior and activities should replicate this citizenship and our allegiance to Christ. The proof of this is in our position of being seated at the right hand of God in Christ.

The Word tells us to do nothing from selfishness or self-conceit, but to humbly set our minds on the mind of Christ from within when it comes to considering another more important than ourselves. We are required by our Lord to not merely look out for our own personal interest, but also for the interest of those around us. This cannot happen unless we are devoted to each and every Body member by making use of the love of God that indwells us – this is true and honorable giving before our Lord (Phil. 2:3-4; Rom. 12:10).

Have you ever wondered what the purpose is for relationships outside of Christ? I certainly have! Let’s review the facts, all unsaved people are of the world and are hostile toward God due to this reality (James 4:5). The scriptures go on to say that anyone who is friends with the world makes himself an enemy of God. So how is it that we are to befriend those of the world? Did you know that our social life is a true confession of what we believe?

Seeing is believing, at least that was what I was taught growing up. After I came to accepting the Life of Christ within me, I realized something rather mind-bending – that what I see is not reality but rather a twisted view, or vision, of the enemy’s complexities and graven imagery. Satan has been working 24/7 for almost 7,000 years to form “Christian” leaders that block the VISION of Christ’s view through the indwelt believer.

The authority structure laid out by God from the beginning of human time is what makes or breaks the Lord’s “machine” from functioning according to the God of the Hebrew. Authority structures are part of God’s Holy design and cannot be avoided – even in a post-modern world. Everyone is under authority, even Satan himself.
