    1. I must know my heart
As water reflects the face, so one’s life reflects the heartProverbs 27:19
Why I say the things I do. “The mouth speaks what the heart is full of.” Matt 12:242. Why I feel the way I do. “God’s word examines the thoughts and motives of the heart.” Heb4:1-23. Why I act the way I do. “Guard your heart — for out of it flow the actions of life.” Prov. 4:23
    2. When I use my heart the way God made me, passion comes naturally
“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord.” Col 3:23
How do you know when you’re working from your heart?
    1. I know because I am enjoying what I do
“My heart took delight in all my labor,”Eccl. 2:10
Universal truth: Most People today don’t succeed at what they don’t like.
    2. When I use my “God-Heart” I exhibit passion
God is the author of passionSatan is the author of paralysis of emotions and feelings
    3. I can know I am using the heart god made when I do my best
    A more passionate heart starts…
    1. Looking at your daily commitment to Christ

We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your faith; if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach; if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead, do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully. Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. 10 Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves. ROMANS 12:6-9
Administration: helping with long term goals and remaining on task ( 1 Cor. 12:28 NIV)Teaching: instructing in truths and doctrines of God’s WordKnowledge: teaching and discipleship. The ability to learn, know and explain God’s WordWisdom: the ability to discern works of the Holy Spirit and apply teaching and actionsProphecy: proclaiming the Word of God with boldness (Romans 12:6 NIV)Discernment: being able to recognize the truth about a situationExhortation: people with this gift are enthusiastic about the Lord and they can motivate othersShepherding: looking out for the spiritual welfare of othersFaith: trusting God to fulfill His plan. Why did God give me spiritual gifts or assets?
Gifts/assets show god’s plan for my lifeI Cor. 12;4-6 “There are different kinds of gifts but the same spirit. There are different kinds of service but the same Lord. There are different kinds of working but the same God works in all of them.”My Gifts/assets display my value in the body “Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it” 1Corinthians: 12:27
What do I do with my gifts/assets?
Desire and discover it1 Cor. 14:1 “Eagerly desire spiritual gifts.”Develop it  Timothy 4:14 “Don’t neglect the spiritual gift that is in you”Use it “Each one should use whatever spiritual gift he has received to serve others, faithfully managing God’s grace in its various forms”. 1 Peter 4:10
“to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up” Ephesians 4:12

  • Can you hear me now?
    Ten Things
Is the Lord being silent, or is he just being quiet? Look at 1st Kings 19:11-13Is the Lord being silent or am I not listening attentively? Look at 1st Samuel 3:9-10Is the lord being silent, or do I need to wait on his timing to speak? Look at Ecclesiastes 3:7Is the Lord being silent, or am I seeking the counsel of man first? Look at 2nd Chronicles 18:4Is the Lord being silent, or am I being double-minded and lacking faith? Look at James 1:5-8Is the Lord being silent, or am I not being submissive to his will in my situation? Look at proverbs 3:5-6Is the Lord being silent, or am I holding onto bitterness and unforgiveness? Look at Mark 11:25Is the Lord being silent, or am I being impatient? Look at Romans 8:25Is the Lord being silent, or do I not trust Him with my life and life of my loved ones? Look at Deuteronomy 1:30-32Is the Lord being silent or is sin an obstacle to hearing his voice? Look at 2nd Chronicles 7:14
    Recap:
So there we have it. A roadmap, of sorts, for hearing God. It is important we remember that God can be quiet and so we must listen attentively when He whispers to us. We need to wait on His timing, even as we seek Him first. When we seek and wait, we must not doubt and when He speaks, we must submit to His will. This process requires us to give up bitterness and unforgiveness and be patient. Our patience is rewarded when we trust God and confess our sins to Him. For when we do, he hears our cry, forgives our sins and heals our land. We may well ask, “Can you hear me now?” And when we do, we must believe He not only hears us, but He will answer us in His perfect timing.

” Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.”James 1:17
    GOD’S “IMMUTABILITY“I the Lord do not change“Mal 3:6
How does God stabilize me in unstable times?
    1. His love for me never changes
(God) “I have loved you with an everlasting love.” Jer. 31:3“Your love never changes, so save me!” Ps. 119:159POINT: “I NEVER NEED TO DOUBT GOD LOVES ME”… nothing will be able to separate us from the love of God.” Rom. 8:38
    2. His Word never changes
“The grass withers and flowers fade, but the Word of our God shall stand forever.” Isa. 40:8“Long ago I learned from your statues that you established them to last forever.” Psalm 119:152“Heaven and earth will pass away but My words will never pass away” Matt 24:35Temptation: Gen. 3:1 “Did God really say you couldn’t eat that …”“Everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock.” Matt. 5:24•POINT: stability comes from building my life on God’s unchangeable word
3.His purpose for my life never changes
“The Lord Almighty has sworn, `Surely as I have planned it, so it will be, and as I have purposed, so it will stand.” Isa. 14:24“His plans endure forever; His purposes last eternally.” Ps. 33:11“(God) is not a man — He does not change His mind.” 1 Sam. 15:29GOD’S PURPOSE: John 10:10, He came to give Me a full life“Those who trust in the Lord are as steady as Mount Zion, unmoved by any circumstance.” Psalm 125:1

  • Seeing me as He does
    June 6th, 2021
“The greatest changes in our lives take place When we see ourselves as God sees us.”
“Jesus was going through the city of Jericho. A man was there named Zacchaeus, who was the chief tax collector and he was wealthy. He wanted to see who Jesus was, but he was too short to see above the crowd he ran ahead to a place where Jesus would come and he climbed a sycamore tree so he could see Him.” Luke 19:1-4
    1. JESUS SEES ME, NO MATTER HOW I FEEL ABOUT ME
“Jesus got to the tree, He looked up…” Luke 19:5
“God never overlooks a single sparrow. And He pays even greater attention to you, down to the last detail – even numbering the hairs on your head!” Luke 12:6-7
    2. JESUS LOVES ME, NO MATTER WHAT OTHERS SAY OR THINK ABOUT ME
Jesus looked up at Zacchaeus and called him by name ‘Zacchaeus!’ He said.” Luke 19:5b
For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so that we can do the good things He planned for us long ago.” Eph. 2:10
    3. JESUS LOVES ME, NO MATTER WHAT I’VE DONE
“… He said, ‘Come down quickly! For I am going to be a guest in your home today!” Luke 19:5c
“All the people saw this and began to complain, ‘Jesus is staying with a sinner!’” Luke 19:7
“Jesus said, ‘those the Father has given Me will come to Me, and I will never reject them.” John 8:37
How should I respond to Jesus today?
“So he came down at once and received Him with joy.” Luke 19:8
    The Result
“Zacchaeus stood and said to the Lord, ‘I’ll give half of my possessions to the poor. And if I’ve cheated anyone, I’ll give them back four times the amount.’ Jesus responded, ‘Salvation has come to this home today!’”Luke 19:8-9
