Beefy BBQ Beans

1 cup tri-bean mix, uncooked

2 cups beef broth

1 lb. ground beef

1/4 c. barbecue sauce

1/4 c. ketchup

1/4 c. yellow mustard

1/4 c. molasses

1/4 c. real maple syrup (please do not use the fake stuff!)

Put the beans and broth in a pressure cooker and set it to the Beans mixture (or 30 minutes on High).  Let it release naturally after cooking.  Cook the ground beef and add it to the bean mixture.  Add the seasonings and stir.  Adjust the seasonings to taste.  Enjoy!

Do you struggle with comparison or trying to be the perfect parent?  Forget about that lofty unattainable goal and focus on the direction instead.  We are all headed somewhere and so long as you allow God to light your path, He will make your way perfect.  Partner with God and he will light your path.

**Isaiah 26:3-4 - You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you.  Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord God is an everlasting Rock. (**In the podcast I said this was Isaiah 23, but it is 26.  Sorry if that confused you.)

1 Peter 5:7 - Casting all your anxieties on Him, because He cares for you.

2 Sam 22:31 - This God - His way is perfect; the word of the Lord proves true; He is a shield for all those who take refuge in Him.

Proverbs 12:15 warns us that "the way of a fool is right in his own eyes, but a wise man listens to advice."  Parents receive a lot of unsolicited advice.  Some of it is helpful and a lot of it throws us off track.  Why do people do that?!?  Do they really think they know our situation better than we do?  Today, I'm sharing with you two pieces of unsolicited advice from women that truly did know better and these are golden.  They have and will continue to guide me through my journey as a mom.  I hope that they will encourage and inspire you as well.  Stay tuned to find out how wonderful some advice can be!
