Imshi Imshi

In today’s episode we'll be speaking with Leila Muhaizen, a Lebanese native who pursued the American dream in LA after graduating from the American University of Beirut.

She initially followed a corporate path based on the advice of her parents but faced a turning point during the pandemic and almost took the walk of shame back home to Lebanon.

Against all odds, she transformed her life, channeling the spirit of the Arab community into entrepreneurial success. Today, she stands as the founder of 'Baklava,' an Arab dating app designed to connect the Arab diaspora and celebrate Arab heritage.

This is 'Imshi Imshi,' the podcast that brings you closer to the Arab diaspora's most compelling stories. Join us on a journey through the lives of individuals who bridge worlds, defy expectations, and inspire change.

From the heart of the Middle East to the streets of the Western World, we dive deep into personal triumphs, cultural battles, and the vibrant spirit that defines the Arab experience.

Hear from entrepreneurs, artists, activists, and thinkers who are making a difference and reshaping what it means to be Arab in today's modern world.

'Imshi Imshi'  was born out of the need to share these raw and real stories of the Arab Diaspora. Stories that dive deep into the heart of what it means to struggle, to suffer, and yet, to rise. Because, while the media often portrays Arabs as figures of conflict, at Imshi Imshi, we seek to illuminate the profound ways our community embodies resilience and hope.

We've learned that life's greatest lessons often come from its hardest moments. Through the narratives shared here, we've seen time and again that it's not merely about enduring but about becoming. About turning our rock bottom moments into stepping stones for growth and success.

Every episode is an adventure. Every story is a revelation.  Every person you meet is part of a larger story. Tune in and transform the way you see the Arab world.
