The boring section is coming to an end in a perfect bivouac spot which feels like pre made for the hikers. All in all the day has been chill and it's probably the two beers talking but I feel fine
Boringness ensues, there's nothing much to say so i got mad at a road. But then got the surprise of an fantastic gourmet burger when I desperately needed one. I will count it as a win!
An episode that is different, with children and lawnmowers in the background, and recorded at the breakfast table. And it follows a day that could have gone bad
This day i walked a lot by fear of the rain, that caught me exactly as I arrived in time. And I'm glad i could spend a night there and think of the amazing people I met
I thought i found a nice campsite remote enough, but local alsacien decided to come in the woods to have some fun! A very slow day anyway where I mostly ate amazing food and enjoyed local delicassies and great interviews :)
I found nice dudes and a dudette and we all together tackled the highest point in the Vosges, before finding a way in a ruin of a castle for the night.... Magical!
A good hiking day in clean clothes, a nice pair of chats on the way and a finale in a crowded refuge made for a nice day!

About In a tent with a French man : A daily thru hiking journal
From the publisher's feed
Hi, I'm Cartapouille, a bored french guy who has co-created and hiked the HexaTrek, 3000km to cross France through the mountains in 2022. I previously thru hiked the Via Adriatica in 2020. I also finished a small hike on the French Pyrenees following the GR10 for 150km. Each hike is a separate podcast season here.
Season 1 : Via Adriatica, Season 2: GR10, Season 3 : HexaTrek. Season 4: TransCaucasian Trail scouting
This is a daily short log to reassure my friends and family that I didn't die eaten by a bear or got blown up by a landmine.
