The Florida Gators softball team has reached the final stage of the NCAA Tournament, the Women's College World Series in OKC. One of the greatest Gator softball players of all time, Amanda Lorenz, stops by to talk about Florida's chances to capture the school's third national championship.
The Florida-Miami game will kick off at 3:30, giving it a chance to be the hottest Gator football game ever recorded. But first, the Gator softball team is primed for another postseason run while Gator baseball struggles to just make the postseason. We talk about all that and more on today's episode of the In All Kinds Of Weather Forecast.
Cormani McClain, who seemed to have burned his bridges with Florida in 2022, is back on the market-- and there seems to be a mutual interest. Is this a good idea? Does he deserve a second chance? And what would Cormani McClain playing for the Gators even look like?
Billy Napier is the Gators' coach in 2024-- and it would be in the program's best interest to keep him around for longer. But that's ultimately up to Napier, and his team, to win games.
Chris Yanes returns, and he and Neil have a very important topic to discuss. Has Napier improved the talent level of this Gator football program? The crew also talks about a pair of recent commits-- one of which will begin playing for the Gators this season, OL Jason Zandamela.
Jaden Rashada, Cormani McClain, and Peyton Joseph were all once Gator commits or heavy Gator leans. Now they're all going to be playing college football elsewhere. There are some good things to take from that, and some bad-- and the In All Kinds Of Weather Forecast covers it all.
The IAKOW Forecast crew talks about how Todd Golden has been able to land so many high-profile transfers, as well as what each one-- Sam Alexis, Rueben Chinleyu, and Alijah Martin-- bring to the Gator basketball roster.
We welcome former Florida Gators softball radio announcer Mike Gillespie to the IAKOW team and recap the Orange and Blue spring game, in which both DJ Lagway and Graham Mertz showed some nice flashes of promise... and in which there was still plenty to work on.
Tailgate Talk is back, and today Casey and Neil preview the Gators' 2024 season schedule, going game by game and picking the winner. What will their record be by season's end? And will Billy Napier make it back for 2025?
Today, we discuss the Gators' 102-100 loss to Colorado in the NCAA Tournament, the consequences of terrible officiating, and what Todd Golden does next to bounce back in Year 3.
