Is Mike White the guy for the Florida Gators men's basketball program? Or should the experiment come to an end? Our Neil Shulman debates his fellow Neil, Florida Basketball Hour co-host Neil Blackmon, on all the common talking points about White, including his X's and O's, CEO moves, what the Gator standard really is and whether White can ultimately have the Florida basketball program where it belongs.
In today's quick episode, Neil and Dustin break down the Gators' monumental series victories on the baseball and softball diamonds this past weekend. Neil also takes a minute to shout out some of the other Gator sports on their accomplishments.
It's a sad time for Gator basketball fans right now. After recapping the past week of softball and baseball, and after breaking down the Gators' loss to Oral Roberts in the NCAA Basketball Tournament, the crew expresses frustration over Mike White one last time, laments the loss of the hoops program Florida once had, and brainstorms possible replacements for White.

The 2020 Gator baseball team showed tremendous promise before COVID-19 ruined everything. But with their eyes on the prize, (almost) everyone on that team decided to come back in 2021 and finish what they started. Today, former Gator star pitcher Alex Faedo- who helped lead Florida to its first ever national championship in 2017- discusses what made that 2017 team so special, and explains why he sees a lot of the same things in this 2021 team.
On today’s jam-packed show, Neil and Joey talk about the Gator basketball team’s upset win at West Virginia and whether or not Mike White has regained their trust. Then the conversation shifts to football, beginning with hire of Garrick McGee. The two then break down the Gators’ schedule, preview the 2021 recruiting class as Signing Day looms, and for a finale, Neil and Joey react live to the Arik Gilbert news! (The news broke as they were recording their show, so you’ll get to hear their excitement in the moment that they first learned of it!)
In a jam packed episode, Neil and Dustin kick off the show by discussing a few pieces of recent news and briefly discussing the state of the Gator basketball program. The Forecast team then welcomes back former Florida All-American tight end Ben Troupe to recap the highs, the lows, and the legacy of an all-around unforgettable 2020 Gator football team.
Last week was quite a busy week in the world of Gator athletics, and Dustin and Neil are here to break it all down. First, they give their initial thoughts on what's shaping up to be a special season for Gator baseball before moving on to discussing the dreadful week for Gator basketball. Then, the featured presentation: a wild week for Gator football. That week included a variety of rumors that Dan Mullen would bolt for the NFL, the unpopular decision Mullen made to retain Todd Grantham, the replacement of Ron English and Torrian Gray with Wesley McGriff, the official welcoming of thirteen new Gators to the student body, and the unfortunate departure of Neil's favorite player.
