Each episode  contains my discussion of the workbook lessons for Come Let Us Worship: an indepth study of the book of Psalms. These are my recommendations for leading a group discussion. I ask the leaders in my Bible study classes to complete their homework, then listen to the prep with a green highlighter and green ball point pen in hand so that they will be able to easily see what to emphasize and comment on when they are with the women in their group. 

It is a delight to be a part of Bible study groups! I have enjoyed serving with many gifted women who lead small groups through a  discussion of our Bible study homework. This episode will give you a few tips considering the leader as a “tour guide.”

Three words in Psalms 1 and 2 are keys to the book of Psalms and what we should make our focus. I'll talk about each one and point out how  Psalms 1 and 2 give an introduction to the book of Psalms, but more importantly than that, they tell us exactly what to prioritize in our lives. The keys are Torah, blessing, and refuge.

It's a delight for me to share a few personal reflections about Psalms 23, 27 and 145. I can’t say  that these are my favorites, because choosing my favorite psalm out of 150 psalms would depend on the moment and my mood.

But these three psalms have made an outstanding and ongoing impression on my life. They are three special flowers given as sweet gifts to me like these three flowers on display which were given to me recently.

The  Psalms prompt us to turn to the Lord and see that He is with us every  moment of our lives, sovereign, faithful, loving, wise, and worthy of all our devotion. They remind us that the Lord God is our great and glorious King who one day will reign on the earth. While we wait for  Him, and when we see Him… come, let us worship the King.
