In this podcast we are beginning chapter 2 of J.D. Salinger’s famed and beloved masterpiece, The Catcher in the Rye. This, like many others, is one of my favorite novels, and by far my favorite coming of age novel. We get the opportunity to analyze Holden Caulfield, explore his psychology, his experiences, and his unique hero’s journey which then allows us to understand ourselves even better. Throughout the lecture I will try to show similarities between what Holden is going through and what we go through in our lives through a detailed analysis of the story, recounting numerous personal anecdotes, and mentioning life experiences that we all share and can relate to. • Shit that bothers me about Women on Dating Apps
I vent my annoyance about people who live in New York for a few years and move away and can only talk about New York. I discuss my issues with women who are nearly 40 and feel the need to say a curse word every sentence. I discuss the mental issues of women who are single, have no children, and have adopted 78 pets. I talk about women who feel the need to let everyone know where they stand on politics and let you know on their dating profile that they are super progressive. I discuss my confusion regarding the countless sexualities that there are now. And I discuss my failure of having any woman come over to my apartment for the weekend after a whole year of not having the apartment to myself. I also discuss the new feminism of female empowerment by posting provocative photos of yourself for men to jerk off too on instagram and how I would do the same if someone paid me $100,000 to post a photo of my ass. Hopefully you enjoy.
