Sin may seem pleasurable, but the Bible say's it's only pleasurable for a season. Today, Pastor JD will be using King David and the consequences of his sin as an example for us to learn from. There are consequences for uncontrolled passions and lusts. Even though you may not be experiencing repercussions for your sin, you may bear it's fruit in the future.

This heart warming letter reveals the need for a simple approach towards the sharing of the Gospel. And this is something we need to keep in mind...we need to be mindful of how complicated we make things.

Hopefully, you were not one of the hundreds of thousands of people who were affected my the global computer hack crisis in the last several weeks. Pastor JD reminds us today of the extreme vulnerability of our economy that is inexplicably linked to our modern technology. Is it possible that an EMP could bring about the sudden destruction prophecied in the Bible?

As Pastor JD continues his teaching through 2 Kings, he'll be exhorting us to remove all evil and sin from our lives just as King Josiah removed all idolatry from the Jewish temple. We are the temple of God, His Spirit lives in us! We need to purpose to obey and cooperate with the Holy Spirit as He works within us.

As we continue to learn about God's judgment against the children of Israel, Pastor JD will be reminding us that even though they deserve this punishment, God shows mercy. The Lord provided them King Josiah that will bring about a revival in the land. God is a just God, but He is also a loving and merciful God at the same time.

God's Word is a shield that protects us, a lamp that lights our path, and it's sharper than any two edged sword that pierces the deepest parts of our soul and spirit. As Pastor JD continues his teaching through 2 Kings, he'll be exhorting us to take more time to meditate and study the Word of God, because without it we will wither away.

It has been said that God's callings are God's “enablements”. The Lord doesn't call us to a certain mission, or command us to do something that He hasn't already given us the power to complete. Today, Pastor JD will be encouraging us to take steps of faith in obeying God's voice, because He has already provided the means to complete the task.

When today's prophecy update was recorded at Calvary Chapel Kaneohe...the Body there was taking communion. The symbolism in the communion table is wonderful. Today Pastor JD will share with us the symbolism in the communion table and the pictures we see in the traditional Jewish wedding ceremony.

It may well be that there are Muslims who truly want peace in the middle east. The contention that Pastor JD has made is that their leadership regularly says the opposite. They call for the destruction of Israel. Also, any Muslim who does not call for the destruction of Israel is in complete disobedience to their holy book, the Koran.

It's a lie to say that sin isn't fun or pleasurable. We do a disservice to our children and to unbelievers when we paint sin as something that isn't exciting and fun. Sin is indeed pleasurable, but only for a season. Once that season is up, it's time for the harvest. Today, Pastor JD will be explaining that the harvest of sin is destruction and death.
