As Pastor JD continues his teaching series through the Book of 2 Kings, he'll be encouraging us to remain humble and contrite. The Bible say's that God resists the proud, and gives grace to the humble. That word “resists” in the Greek means to set against in battle array. The last thing we want is for God to be set against us!

Only God is worthy of glory, we as mere people are earthen vessels that the Lord may choose to use to bring Himself glory. Pastor JD will be reminding us that God chooses to use the weak and the base to confound the wise, so that He may bring Himself glory. It is when we realize we can't do something in our own efforts that God typically comes through.

Today, Pastor JD will be encouraging us to remain steadfast during spiritual battles and to put on the whole armor of God each and every day. The only way we can defeat the enemy, is if we hand over the battle completely to the Lord. When we cooperate with the Holy Spirit in our lives, that's when we are able to live a victorious Christian life.

Peace and security are buzz words that are being used constantly. Everyone wants peace and security...especially in the middle east. Today Pastor JD will share with us that President Donald Trump sees peace in the middle east as the ultimate deal. He believes that his son in law, who happens to be Jewish, is the perfect person to broker this deal.

Things are really heating up in North Korea. It seems that daily they are volleying threats towards the United States. Today we will hear just how close North Korea is to launching a nuclear weapon. We've seen it in movies, we've read about it in books...but the threat of nuclear war is something that hasn't been really talked about since the Cold War.

If you've been struggling with doubting the promises and goodness of God, the best thing you can do is to go before the Lord in prayer and to meditate in His Word. Faith comes by hearing, and hearing the Word of God. Don't allow the voices of the world to distract you from the powerful truth of God's Word.

The oldest temptation from the very beginning of creation, was the serpent tempting Eve to doubt God's character and intentions. Satan continuously tries to get us to doubt God's promises and His character. If the enemy can cause us to doubt God's loving character, it will ultimately cause us to have a weak prayer life and lack of power.

God isn't a cosmic kill joy who desires us to follow rigorous rules and regulations simply to limit our joy and satisfaction. The truth of the matter is that God's commands are to protect us and to bring true satisfaction of soul and spirit. Pastor JD will be encouraging us to look at God's commands as boundaries that protect us from the dangers of sin.

As Pastor JD continues his teaching through the Book of 2 Kings, he'll be exhorting us to remove all forms of idolatry out of our lives. In the same way King Hezekiah destroyed the bronze rod with the serpent because of it becoming an idol, we too need to utterly destroy out of our lives anything that robs our affection from the Lord.

Why would China begin putting pressure on North Korea in regards to their gas exports? North Korea is heavily dependent on China for gas. By doing so, China is hoping to discourage North Korea from their continual pursuit of the development of a nuclear weapon. Friends, this is something we need to be watching VERY carefully.
