There is a great lesson to be learned as we study this text through 2 Kings today. The King of Israel tried allying himself with someone that was ungodly because it seems wise but it was against God's command. Going to the world for advice or strength will never bring godly fruit. Only seeking guidance from the Holy Spirit will truly help you in time of need.

As Pastor JD continues his teaching series through the Book of 2 Kings, he'll be reminding us that it's not God's heart to take delight in the death or punishment of the wicked. God desires that everyone comes to salvation and repents of their sin. God is loving, and merciful and that's the model we should be following after.

Biblically speaking, there is no such thing as “luck”, or having good luck. God is sovereign, and He is in complete control over all things. Even when wicked people use their free will to do harmful things, God in His sovereignty works those things out for good. Today, Pastor JD will be encouraging us to put our faith in God, not “luck”.

The global media frenzy that has surrounded our newly elected president Donald Trump is astounding. It's as if the liberal leftist media is willfully choosing to ignore plain facts. They seem to genuinely HATE our president. Pastor JD encourages us today to be in prayer for President Donald Trump...for his safety and for godly wisdom in leadership.

Today Pastor JD contrasts the previous trip in 2010 by Israel's prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu with the most recent trip. The way Benjamin Netanyahu was treated by President Barak Obama versus how he was treated by President Donald Trump reveals some plain differences in the administrations.

As we study the differences between the Kings right hand man, and the lepers mentioned in our text today, we quickly realize that the lepers more readily understand their need for God. As Pastor JD continues his teaching series, he'll be encouraging us to help unbelievers understand that they are sinners in need of a Savior.

The Bible say's that God has elevated His Word even above His name, this is a profound statement! Pastor JD will be reminding us that when God say's He's going to do something, it's not a matter of “if”, but a matter of when! God is faithful to bring to pass everything He's spoken in His Word.

Elijah had no problem calling a spade a spade. Today, Pastor JD will be explaining how God used Elijah to be bold in proclaiming truth and righteousness even when his own life was being threatened. There will come a time when you and I may face persecution, and we are called to boldly proclaim the name of Jesus even if we are facing death.

As Pastor JD continues to teach through the Book of 2 Kings, he'll be warning us against having love of money. The Bible doesn't say that money is the root of all evil. It say's the love of money is the root of all evil. Elijah's servant who watched God do amazing things through him, succumbed to greed and even lied to Elijah about it.

Pastor JD again exhorts anyone listening today to make sure that you're prepared for the rapture. Jesus is coming back and it could be TODAY! Are you ready for His return? There's only one thing that God will be concerned about when Jesus returns...have you accepted Jesus Christ as your LORD and Savior...THAT is the question God will ask.
