The increase in Muslim violence globally is picking up a rapid pace. Today Pastor JD shares with us the chilling story of a Muslim terrorist committed to killing in the name of Allah, attempting to gun down a police officer. The awful revelation is that this act of violence is actually being motivated by the fact that our law enforcement officers are not enforcing sharia law.

Pastor JD teaches us that Satan attempts blend to the wisdom of the world with Godly wisdom in order to corrupt the church. This mixture was precisely what was happening when the Apostle Paul wrote to Corinth in 1 Corinthians. Paul rebuked the people sternly and directed them to rely only on the unpolluted message of the Gospel.

Pastor JD preaches from 1 Corinthians today to teach us that God’s wisdom is not only contrary to the wisdom of the world, but it is also a secret hidden wisdom that must be sought out by the diligent. Pastor JD warns us that men’s wisdom will lead to despair and, at the resolution of all things, will amount to nothing.

Pastor JD teaches us today that if we try to do in our own strength what only the Lord can do, we can quench the Holy Spirit’s power to move in our lives and the lives of others. Furthermore, when we try to make change on our own, we communicate a lack of trust in God’s Word, His promises, and His power to help us in our time of need.

When Paul came to the city of Corinth to preach the Gospel, he did not want his intellect, name, or reputation to get in the way of the simplicity of the salvation message. JD teaches us that Paul was demonstrating in the realest of ways that it is God’s power, not men’s, that has the power to change lives and save.

When talking with people of the Muslim faith, you will find that, generally, they refuse to use Israel as the name of ...well, Israel. Instead, they use the name Palestine. Today Pastor JD makes a point that must be considered. There IS NO ISRAEL in the future of those of the Muslim faith. They desire to drive Israel into the sea.

Pastor JD continues to talk about this new year, 2016. There is much on the horizon that is troubling. Many people that President Barak Obama will unconstitutionally exert executive powers in order to create and enforce new gun control laws. We'll also learn today that the middle east is, yet again, heating up as Iran is now testing missiles perilously close to American vessels.

Pastor JD exhorts us today to not compromise with the world as we obey Jesus’s instructions to share the Good News of the Gospel. Many serving in ministry feel pressure to be seeker friendly to gain numbers on Sunday mornings. However, Jd warns that if we emulate the world, we dim our lights and lose our effectiveness.

The Apostle Paul was a brilliant man. Pastor JD calls him the scholar of scholars. However, as Paul began ministry in the city of Corinth, he writes that he resolved to know nothing except Christ and Him crucified. JD teaches us today that we should never let intellect or human wisdom trump the heavenly simplicity of the Gospel.

Although Paul had a piercing intellect, he did not trust in his own wisdom. In fact, the Apostle did not boast in anything except the Lord. Pastor JD teaches us today that God uses the weak things of this world to show His strength and power. However, the Lord resists the proud and calls the wise things of the world foolish.
