Pastor JD reminds us today of what may be the worst joy stealer in our lives...focusing on what has been done to you...rather than focusing on what God has done FOR you. Sure, it's easy to wallow in the difficulties of this life. But, instead...why not focus on the glorious salvation that God has brought about in your life?

Are you experiencing any persecution in your life? Of course, we aren't experiencing the kind of persecution that our brothers and sisters are experiencing in other parts of the world. The question is...have you become a friend of the world or are you a stranger and pilgrim awaiting our Savior's return?

Circumstantial happiness is based upon what 'happens'...rather than on what is known to be sure. You see, what happens around us is always changing. So, if we base our lives upon whether we're happy or not...we destined for disappointment. Joy, however, comes from knowing that our God is for us and NOTHING can be against us!

Have you ever asked yourself the question, 'What is my purpose in this life?' Well, Pastor JD just answered that question pretty plainly. The purpose of man's existence is to know Jesus and to help others know Jesus. And oftentimes we can over complicate this simple two-fold purpose by adding to or subtracting from what God has said.

Today Pastor JD shares with us the possible reason behind the drought that swept the United States this past summer of 2012. Could it be that the America's seeming neglect and even rejection of the Nation of Israel has brought God's judgment upon this country? We know that God used drought in times past to judge nations. Why wouldn't He do the same today?

We truly don't know when the LORD will return for us...so, we must be ready for His return. Never underestimate the power of your own personal testimony when sharing the Gospel with the lost. It's easy for someone to dispute theology with you. But, it's not so easy to dispute a personal testimony of the life changing power of God's work in a life. Be ready to share with the lost the wonderful things that God has done in your life.

Hearing Pastor JD's words a moment ago is somewhat sobering. The faith that we declare to have is certainly supernatural. And yet, in the here and now...with the everyday things that we deal with, we struggle to trust God. Could it be that we may not have faith in God at all? Or could it be that we need God to renew our faith in Him?

Life has quite a bit to offer in the means of taking us out of reality...drugs, alcohol, and sexual immorality are widely accepted. But, the exhilaration a Christian experiences when sharing God's love with the lost and even leading a lost sheep to the Shepherd is beyond comprehension.

Perhaps you're listening today and you've walked with God for along time and you find yourself in the midst of a situation as difficult as you've ever experienced. Pastor JD exhorts us today to REMEMBER...go back and remember what God did in your life in the beginning...how He set you free from sin. Surely He can deliver you from your struggles today.
