In today's teaching Pastor JD challenges our American thinking. We have the idea that our existence should be defined by the complete pursuit of what makes us happy. And while God certainly wants us to be happy, that's not His goal. Our Father's goal is to make us Holy, righteous, and a pure Bride awaiting His glorious return!

The reminder that Pastor JD just shared with us is something that we need to consider regularly...WHY? Why do I do the things that I do? Why do attend church? Why do I tithe? Why do I share the Gospel? If there's any reason OTHER than a simple love for Jesus, you're unfortunately operating in religion rather than relationship.

The Law of God has a wonderful purpose in the life of a believer. God never gave us His commandments so that we might keep them and thus gain entrance into heaven. No! That's impossible!!! God has given us His Holy Law so that we might know what sin and so that we might see sin in our own lives. And then the natural response will be to cry out to Jesus, our Savior!

It's always important to consider our ideas through the lens of God's Word. God's Word brings perfect clarity to anything and everything. And this is proven when sharing the Gospel. There are many out there that think that they are “quote” a good person “quote”. But, God's Word says that we're sinners in need of a Savior.

Pastor JD shares a sober word with us. He says that much of Christianity is missing a key component in sharing the Gospel and that's the judgment of God. You see there is coming a time when God will judge those who have not received the free gift provided in His Son. We must be faithful to share this with the lost so that they will cry out for forgiveness.

David said, some trust in chariots, some trust in horses...but we will trust in the LORD. Is that your heart? Or are you living your life for God day by day in your own strength. Christian, what Pastor JD just shared is TRUE!!! It's impossible to live a Holy life without the power of the Holy Spirit...we must rely upon the Holy Spirit for daily life in God.
