There quite a few things that will happen in the last days. But, as Pastor JD just mentioned, there is NOTHING that MUST happen before Jesus returns for His bride. Now, there may be a few things that do happen...perhaps in Syria...but, the return of our Savior is not contingent upon these events.

Each of us have realms in our lives where God is calling us to speak the Truth of His Word to those around us. We can either choose to be obedient or shrink back from the task at hand. Pastor JD encourages us to have the same strength that Apollos had...sharing the Word of God with great boldness and with pure love.

There are many within the Body of Christ that believe that the Gifts of the Holy Spirit ended at the time of the apostles. But, does the Bible support this notion? No! Today, Pastor JD begins challenges modern concepts about the Gifts of the Holy Spirit by first proving that they are for today and then by encouraging us to be open to them.

Is that you Christian? Was Pastor JD just describing you? Have you been just going through the religious motions...going to church, but not experiencing the newness of life that is in Christ? Pastor JD challenges us today to consider how that part of our lives might be affected by our understanding of the Gifts of the Holy Spirit.

Many people believe that God's love is contingent upon how good you are...that your actions could somehow cause God to being hating you. Friend, this isn't true! God loves you no matter what! Now, He still requires confession and repentance when we sin...He just doesn't stop loving us while we're in that process.

As believer's in Jesus Christ there are some words that each of us should be longing to hear from our Savior, 'Well done, my good and faithful servant.' So, the question is, are you living your life with that goal in mind? Is your life centered around glorifying God or pursuing your own desires?

Being part of the Body of Christ comes with some responsibilities. As we just heard a moment ago from Pastor JD, one of those responsibilities is to know God's Word. And how can we know God's Word? By listening to programs like In Spirit and Truth, YES! But, we can also begin to know God's Word through the simple reading of it.

As time goes on we know that the return of Jesus is only coming closer. And leading up to the time of our Savior's return, the Scriptures are clear, there will be adversity and struggle for His Body. So, know that these challenges are coming, let's choose not to rejoice in how the LORD will use them for His glory!

Though it contradicts common thought, how someone feels when you share the truth with them should not be the deciding factor. If someone you loved was in a burning building and you had the information to help them get out...wouldn't you tell them? Of course! So too, we should be ready and willing to speak the truth in love.
