As we've been considering how to spread God's Word, we're learning that it isn't always in the ways that we'd like. And in today's message one of those ways is revealed...opposition. The history of the church proves this truth out...when the church has been under persecution, God's Word has spread amazingly.

We know that God's Word is powerful and sharper than any two-edged sword...the Word of God cuts right to the heart of the matter. And even when we encounter portions of Scripture that seem to be borning or perhaps not applicable to us...we need to stop and ask the LORD to reveal Himself to us...He is there in ALL of His Word.

It's easy to approach the difficult circumstances of this life and assume that it's all up to you and that God can't take care of this for you. Stop and think about this...what we're actually saying when we think this, is that the God who spoke all that we see and know into existence is incapable of doing something! Preposterous!!!!

Please receive the exhortation that Pastor JD just shared...DON'T GIVE UP! Keep praying, keep sharing the truth for in due season you will reap the reward.

The winning word that Pastor JD just spoke about can also be understood as a word of knowledge which is a gift of the Holy Spirit. God uses these words of knowledge to reach those who He intends to save. So, let's be sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit and those words of knowledge...those winning words that He might want us to share.

Pastor JD will share with us that there are different positions of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is all around us and He is IN those who have placed their faith in Jesus. Finally, the Holy Spirit comes UPON us for specific purposes. And this baptism of the Holy Spirit is something WE NEED.

Even thought it's hard to understand, God says that His Word is even above His Name. And as we just heard from Pastor JD, in the Jewish culture, God's Name...YAHWEH or JEHOVAH or even God is not even spoken. And yet, the LORD says that His Word is above His Holy Name. So, how important should God's Word be to us?

There quite a few things that will happen in the last days. But, as Pastor JD just mentioned, there is NOTHING that MUST happen before Jesus returns for His bride. Now, there may be a few things that do happen...perhaps in Syria...but, the return of our Savior is not contingent upon these events.
