Money is a key theme for James this week, as he discusses buying your way to success with Operation Varsity Blues: The College Admission Scandal and stumps up his own hard-earned cash for Disney+'s Raya and the Last Dragon. Dan also forks out on PVOD in the form of Happily but ultimately returns to a reliable friend in Netflix as he reviews Bad Trip and Run.

Reel News content is sparse this week but we scrape the barrel to discuss time-saving websites and potential Knives' Out Sequel(s). Once we've scraped the barrel we reach the bottom, which leads us to our main review. Chaos Walking is many things, especially when you compile a list of its failings. Did we recommend it? Whilst eagerly awaiting a return to normalcy, we give our preliminary thoughts on The Falcon and The Winter Soldier. Elsewhere, Dan touches on the demise of highly regarded filmmakers in Allen V. Farrow and reviews Apple TV's foray into the unnecessary with Calls. Meanwhile, another Apple exclusive captures James' attention in the form of Billie Eilish: The World's a Little Blurry.

We make no apologies this week, our main review features an unfocused, long-winded dissection of a film that is the epitome of mediocrity and best intentions gone awry. Weighing in with our insignificant everyman thoughts, we deliberate whether Zack Snyder's Justice League is worth a revisit? Or should it just be left to rot on the ever-expanding DC wasteland marked 'Missed Opportunities'?

This week we both find The One on Netflix but it may not be a match made in heaven. James takes a chance on Last Chance U: Basketball, and Dan goes indie with Joe Cinque's Consolation and The Strange Thing About the Johnsons.

Reel News inevitably covers the Oscar nominations, but we also discuss the hype for Zack Snyder's Justice League and the so-called original content on Disney+ Star.

In the main review, Apple TV tries to pop its Oscar cherry by joining forces with the Russo brothers, famed directors of You, Me, and Dupree. At 141 minutes, Cherry has not borne awards fruit but surely it will be worth watching.

For our customary watchlist, Dan delves into the latest Now TV addition that’s being rammed down many customers throats, Your Honor whilst James seeks out content that features semi-colons in the title as he talks The Boarding School: Las Cumbres and Pacific Rim: The Black.

For Reel News, the Wandavision finale arrived on Disney+ last week, we discuss negative fan reactions alongside James' final verdict. We also ruminate on how somebody could possibly confuse Tom & Jerry for Zak Snyder's eagerly anticipated Directors cut of Justice League….

In an effort to entice any of the cast to grant us an interview, we feature an Eddie Murphy double bill. Coming 2 America has broken streaming records over the last few weeks and thus features as our main review. To celebrate the occasion, we decided to consume the original to see whether it can stand the test of time. The decision is split, which sparks a Conflix of Interest AND a downright shocking revelation!

There's a weird energy to this week's episode which is somewhat fitting for our main review, but before we get to that, we review two of Netflix's Top 10 TV shows in the form of Behind Her Eyes and Tribes Of Europa. Dan also gives his thoughts on the mostly forgotten Elijah Wood film Grand Piano from 2013.

In Reel News, we try to decipher some head-scratching headlines. Plus, not a podcast to shy away from controversy, we offer a non-opinionated discussion surrounding Disney's firing of Gina Carano. To wrap it all up, we tease Edgar Wright's plans to remake the 80's classic The Running Man.

Whilst remakes have definitely proven to be a worthwhile venture in the past, can the same be said of video game adaptations? If so, which one can be hailed as the best? These are the questions we ask and largely fail to answer in Conflix of Interest.

Finally, Barb and Star presents Dan and James with a conundrum. One of us loved it whilst the other fails to see what all the fuss is about, but who thought which, and about what?… Make any sense? Perhaps not, but then again, neither does the majority of the film.

As the outside world remains out of reach, we pass our lockdown time with two documentaries, Tiger and Can't Get You Out of My Head, and two dramas, Back to Life and Soulmates. Dan also revisits oscar-nominated erotic thriller Unfaithful.

In Reel News, we discuss the unsubstantiated gossip that is not true, which has no basis in fact, about Armie Hammer. It's all lies. Also, Disney gets Twitter backlash for pretending to care about John Boyega's Star Wars character.

Our main review is News of the World, starring Tom Hanks. Can this new western overcome Dan's dislike of the genre, and how many times does James mention Red Dead Redemption 2? It's a simple story, complicated only by our apparent failure to pay attention. 

Cinemas may still be closed but the small screen continues to flourish and is brimming with fresh content. With plenty to pick from, we give our thoughts on The Investigation, Dead Pixels, and Space Sweepers. Season 2 of Dickinson is another topic of discussion, but does this alternative take on a literary icon mark an end to Apple TV's winning streak? 

In Reel News, It's Awards season again! Each year bringing us a bunch of deserved contenders and more questionable choices thrown in for good measure. We weigh in on the controversy around some of the latest nominees.

Speaking of controversy, in the fast-paced modern age we live in, is it ever acceptable to jump on board a TV show whilst skipping certain seasons? James puts his case forward in Conflix of Interest, leaving Dan struggling to form his counter-argument.

Finally, for our main review, Gerard Butler's film Greenland hurtled its way towards Amazon Prime Video last week. Can it break the mould of a well-trodden disaster film? Does it even need to? All that and more... In fact that's pretty much all of it. Still worth a listen though.
