  • John Vourlis – Practicing Yoga for Freedom
Yoga For Freedom is the true story of 20 American yoga students and teachers who went to Nepal on a two-week trip to Nepal and came home forever changed. Author John P. Vourlis takes you on a magical journey that combines social reportage from a faraway land steeped in the mystique of the Himalayas, with a fascinating, poignant, and at times funny journey of self-reflection for this group of diverse travelers.
The book contains many incredible color photographs and is based in large part on the journals kept by each member of the group. The serendipity of the excerpts from these journals at first catches you unaware, but then as you move along in the journey with the author, he makes you feel, in a special sort of way, as if you are a member of this band of adventurous travelers.
These intrepid travelers not only visited some of the holiest spiritual sites of Buddhism and the country’s spectacular natural wonders, but also spent time at both a private and a government-run orphanage in Kathmandu, as well as an orphanage in western Nepal that was on the front lines of the child slavery problem.

  • Dolores DeLuce, a Diva with a Wicked Wit
In her memoir Dolores De Luce, a five-foot Diva in six-inch heels, takes us on the bumpy ride from her grey days in New Jersey through her escape to the refuge of the tumultuous post-Stonewall days in ‘70s Los Angeles and Gay San Francisco. After giving birth to a mixed-race daughter and being rejected by her Italian American family, Dolores created a new family with the most unlikely people under the most unusual circumstances.

Dolores confesses to living with the notorious film legend, Divine, and being baptized in the filth of John Waters, selling barbiturates to most of the pill-popping homos on the West Coast, and then sleeping with half of them once their high kicked in. Edie Massey, Divine’s film mother, proclaimed Dolores the illegitimate daughter of Divine and Rip Taylor declared her the winner of $1.98 Beauty Show. Even Joan Rivers approved of her racy video that the Fox censors, deemed too dirty to air on her late night talk show.
Readers who devoured the Counter Culture Diva's confessions in her first memoir, My Life, a Four Letter Word, will be delighted to know that Blow Jobs, picks up where that book ended. It takes the reader up and down the ladder to stardom, and brings you up to date, revealing the fate of this aging Diva.
While dropping more names than the Beverly Hills 'Who's Who', our Diva brings unique insight to the lives of the rich and famous from her fly-on-the=wall view. From being Dean Martin’s maid to a bimbo’s slave that led to pubic hair trimming on XXX film sets she spares no details.

  • Ron Vincent’s Comic Novel, Mother's Day
Ron Vincent grew up in Fort Walton Beach, Florida and has graduate degrees from Texas A & M and the University of Notre Dame. He has taught high school students in California's Central Valley for almost thirty years.
His comic novel, Mother's Day, reflects the cadences, humor, and eccentricities he remembers growing up in Okaloosa County, Florida.
    Excerpt:
Phil Oglesby hasn’t spoken to his mother in years. And she doesn’t seem to care until he surprises her with a Mother’s Day visit that becomes the biggest mistake he’s ever made. Williemaye, Phil’s mom, is not a Norman Rockwell mom. For many people the Sunday set aside to celebrate motherhood is often regarded as a celebration of the deepest ties, the warmest memories, and the best emotions. Phil’s Mother’s Day is like being invited to a birthday party where the guests decide to hang you. Sometimes in life, it is often a much better idea to stay at home.

  • Nadine Hays Pisani’s Happier Than a Billionaire
Nadine Hays Pisani, a native of Elizabeth, New Jersey, who attended Rutgers University, resides in Costa Rica with her husband and dog, Clementine. Nadine is the author of the best-selling series, Happier than a Billionaire.
She shares her weekly adventures on her blog: www.happierthanabillionaire.com where she writes, “All I can tell you is that I was one of those individuals who was burnt out from the rat race. Maybe that was my addiction as well. It’s easy to become a workaholic. It can sneak up on you disguised as the American Dream. The interesting thing about my journey is that I still have a strong work ethic, however it has taken on a more creative form. What I have discovered is that when I do creative things, work no longer feels like work: I finally feel like I have a life that fits.”
When not writing, you can find her at the beach, on the back of a scooter, or frantically tossing scorpions out of her bed. Join her  on her blog as she navigates living as an expat in the sometimes confusing, always beautiful, country of Costa Rica.

  • Kim Robinson, Author, Among Other Things
Kim Robinson's father, a tailor, inspired me. The first thing Kim ever made, a halter top, was the kind with the choker ring around the neck. She attached some yellow yarn as hair, buttons for eyes, and for lips, a red licorice. Sadly, the California sun melted the licorice all over the place, but every little girl in the neighborhood was exchanging their toys for one.
In addition to continuing her sewing throughout high school, Kim was in the modeling club, where she, along with her friends showcased her designs. Remember, this was the late 70’s when Superfly and Cleopatra Jones were The Thang. Kim progress to making long coats and lace up pants out of recycled Levi’s.
Currently writing a story entitled Street Life to Housewife, Kim assures you that the title speaks for itself. The author of four other books near completion, one is best described as Murder she wrote for the hood.’ Kim's goal is to comlete an  eight-book series.
She is close to completing God Ain’t Spelled Government. where the alumni of Dominguez High School, Class of '77 has leaked a government conspiracy at her twenty-year class reunion. The Government does not know to whom the conspiracy was leaked, Consequently, they Government set out to kill everyone who attended the reunion.
Three books Kim rely upon. One is Green Pharmacy while the other is Live Right for Your Type. Her most important is The Holy Bible.
