Travis joins me on the morning of the “No Kings” protests to discuss “The Vibes.” We work on perspectives. He opens with: “We are not waiting for a miracle. We are the Architects.” I roll my eyes. We laugh. It had been a day already at 9am. We talk about resilience, staying grounded, when silence may be the best course and being in our mode during this time of upheaval and horrific events. Each of us brings something to The Movement according to our Vibration and inherent Gifts. I complain about things being so hard and dark. Also, there’s Gibran: “You have been told that even like a chain, you are as weak as your weakest link. This is but half the truth. You are also as strong as your strongest link. To measure you by your smallest deed is to recon the power of ocean by the frailty of its foam.” Also, Travis reminds us of the famous line from early in the collection: “Work is Love made visible.” Join us.

The ITC Book Club discussion of Kahlil Gibran’s “The Prophet” continues with another take “On Death.” Gibran says, “For life and death are one, even as the river and the sea are one.”
DJ Kelly Ann joins me to share not only her insights on the poem and book, but also her experience at The Gate with her father through his cancer diagnosis, treatment, preparation for dying and his crossing over. She also speaks of visitations from her ancestors during the time of her children’s birth. We touch on how grief can prepare us for the “coming of our own ship.” Yes, ya’ll, i missed it: Is Al Mustafa awaiting Charon’s barge? This show is not to be missed! Kelly Ann is host of “Midnight Ideas,” which airs Monday evenings 7-8pm MT on KMRD.fm

The ITC Book Club discussion of Kahlil Gibran’s “The Prophet” continues with the chapter “On Death.” Gibran says: “You would know the secret of death. But how shall you find it unless you seek it in the heart of life?… For life and death are one, even as the river and the sea are one.” Ancestral wisdom carrier, teacher, land steward, medicine carrier Aquia joins me in the studio to talk death, the stages of rebirth, past selves, and how our ancestors may simultaneously send messages across time and space while embodying a new incarnation. Also, moth medicine and “goo consciousness?” It’s another fun, deep conversation. Join us!

The ITC Book Club discussion of Kahlil Gibran’s “The Prophet” continues with the chapter “On Religion.” A priest asks Mustafa to speak of religion, and he said: “Have I spoken today of aught else?… Your daily life is your temple and religion. Whenever you enter into it take with you your all.” We are the embodiment of our beliefs and have the potential to represent the Divine in every moment of our everyday lives. Even and especially in our imperfections. Travis and Michael join me to expound on this poem, life in Alchemy, where we find God, and related topics.

Travis and Michael join in the ITC Book Club discussion on Kahlil Gibran’s “The Prophet” “On Beauty.” Gibran says: “…beauty is life when life unveils her holy face. But you are life and you are the veil. Beauty is eternity gazing at itself in a mirror. But you are eternity and you are the mirror.” Of what do we speak when words fail? Gibran implies Beauty is an experience and the three of us find it inexplicable. So, of what do we speak for the following 45 or so minutes? Everything from the womb to psychedelics to the desert to dead trees in the dark. It’s fun. Join us.

This week’s book club discussion covers Kahlil Gibran’s “The Prophet” “On Pleasure.” When do we give ourselves (and others) permission to serve ourselves the nectar of Being? No day is promised to any one of us, recent tumultuous times aside. The body and its needs and desires are not a burden, but “the harp of your soul, and it is yours to bring forth sweet music from it or confused sounds,” as Gibran puts it. The poet also tells us a key observation about the birds and the bees. Join me.

Travis and I in the book club discussing Kahlil Gibran’s “The Prophet” “On Prayer.” “For what is prayer but the expansion of yourself into the living ether?” Ah, such a beautiful piece, such a delightful conversation. We touch on dharma, the paradox of existence, the mind and body, vows and being an intentional being. Join us.

Bad DJ joins me to talk about closeness and healing. What is possible once we stop identifying with our traumatic wounds? Is completion possible? How can we support our loved ones and ourselves through the process? An important reminder about culturalization and being human in America today, the challenges we face regarding isolation, rage, and Love. We revisit “All About Love,” “The Chiron Complex,” and more.
Travis returns to the book club to discuss “The Prophet” “On Good and Evil.” Gibran says, “Of the good in you I can speak, but not of the evil. For what is evil but good tortured by its own hunger and thirst?” We also branch out to the multiverse, the “mano-sphere,” authenticity, Don Miguel’s Parasite (what?) and another thing or two. Pulling threads and spreading seeds of ideas. Join us.

I talk about Nina Simone's song “Why? (The King of Love Is Dead)” and the “Unfulfilled Dreams” of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. The song was written and recorded live at the Westbury Music Fair three days after the April 4, 1968 assassination of Dr. King. I weave in current astrology: the Libra Full Moon, more about Neptune’s big transit, Mars, Venus and Saturn’s conversation, and how their epic myths may inspire us to choose which dreams we manifest, Dreaming as Work and more. How King references the dual nature of humanity leads us into the HR 2 conversation on good and evil.

"In the Cab with Dream Queen" is a two-hour radio show which airs…
"In The Cab On The Road" is where we take the show on the road, collecting stories, photos and videos of everyday folks out in the world doing beautiful things. The mission is to bring us closer together, maybe even heal us up a bit.
Dream Queen is a seeker, who currently exists in a Black-American, non-gender-conforming meat suit. I believe our vulnerability in sharing wisdom across cultures can help bring us together, and elevate all life and this planet.
