In The Circle

WCWS Week rolls on with an interview with former Oklahoma Sooner great and color commentator for the Sooner Sports Network Jessica Shults as she talks about OU making another trip back to Oklahoma City.

We continue Women's College World Series week by speaking with USSSA Pride pitcher and former Michigan Wolverine Jordan Taylor. With her alma mater making it back to Oklahoma City, Jordan talks about playing for Coach Hutch and the impact she's had on her career. We also talk about her time with the Pride, her goals for the 2016 season as well as watching the Michigan/Mizzou showdown with teammate and Mizzou Alum Chelesa Thomas.

Our first guest on Women's College World Series week saw the magic first-hand in Gainesville and now the guys talk with ESPN commentator & former WCWS champion Jennie Ritter to break down what happened to lead Georgia to Oklahoma City. They also talked to Jennie about her Michigan Wolverines and talk about her experience in OKC with the 2005 National Champions.

From 64 to 16, this week we look ahead to Super Regionals and which is the most interesting matchup. We also let know the TV crews who will be covering those showdowns including the return of one Jessica Mendoza. And yes, Victor will let Eric have a moment to go off on well, whatever he feels wronged about last weekend (not including UCF of course)

Selection Sunday provided a lot of drama as usual and the guys are ready to break it all down (that is after Victor allows Eric his annual time to go off on the Selection Committee)

In Part 2 of our podcast, Victor joins Eric to talk about the big stories heading into conference tournaments as well as Selection Sunday. How many teams can make it from the ACC? Which teams still have work to do to make the Field of 64? Can James Madison make it as a top 8 national seed? Also, Eric talks to Victor about an historic weekend for Rollins College and their chances in the South Super Regional versus #3 North Alabama.

In the first of a two part edition of In The Circle, Eric Lopez sits down with Columbia Daily Tribune Missouri beat writer Blake Toppmeyer to break down how this story about Missouri Softball originated and what it could mean both short-term and long term for the program

Eric joins Victor on location in Tampa for this edition of In The Circle. The guys breakdown the latest softball bracketology including some thoughts on where James Madison is projected to be as a national seed. They also attempt to explain why the 2nd place team in the Pac-12 (Utah) is receiving less votes in the poll than the 2nd to last place team (Arizona State). Included in the show will be Victor's thoughts on how the Division 2 landscape looks heading into the final week of the regular season and Selection Monday looming.

Part 2 of our podcasts has Eric and Victor breaking down the latest South Region rankings in Division 2. Which teams have some work to do to make it in and how is in position to host in two weeks? Also, we preview two huge series in Winter Park (St. Leo vs. Rollins) and Cleveland, Mississippi (Valdosta State vs Delta State).

In part one of this two part edition of In The Circle, the guys are joined by their good pal Justin McLeod of Justin's World of Softball to recap last week's NPF Draft.
