In The Circle

Last week, Eric Lopez had a chance to sit down with former UCF All-American Allison Kime (Trela) to discuss their performance versus Tulsa as well as what's she's been up to since graduation.

With the NPF Draft one week away, we preview all the latest with Justin McLeod of Justin's World of Softball. Who will the Rebellion select with the #1 overall pick? How will the partnership between USA Softball and NPF affect where players get drafted? Who are the best players on Justin's Big Board? Will we see any surprises?

This episode of In The Circle, we recap another action packed weekend which included Florida's sweep over LSU and one player hitting her way into the record books. Also, in lieu of the comments about UConn women's basketball, we get into a discussion on if Florida Softball is more dominant than the Huskies and the landscape of both sports during the last decade.

After the madness that was our live podcast, the boys are back in the studio for some "normal" softball conversation. This time, they breakdown the first release of the NCAA RPI as well as looking into the national polls. They also look at some of the biggest series taking place this weekend including Florida-LSU and Texas-Baylor.

On Monday night, Eric Lopez made a visit to Rollins College and co-host Victor Anderson for a special LIVE edition of In The Circle. On this special edition, the guys recapped Rollins 8-0 victory as well as the landscape of the South Region in Division II. Also, one of the guys confesses their love of a particular walk-up song and One Tree Hill. Yes, we said One Tree Hill!

Eric and Victor have a major announcement at the start of the show about the next edition of In The Circle (hint, it's going to be not recorded). After the pomp, circumstance, and jokes about Selection Sunday we breakdown the week that was in Division II as well as provide an early look at what teams could serve as hosts for Regionals. Also, the guys play Stock Up/Stock Down and provide their thoughts on the Florida-Auburn series. That is if you didn't see the podcast being leaked just like the NCAA Basketball Tournament bracket.

So much news to talk about on this edition of In The Circle that we can't fit it all into this podcast (we tried out best, but we couldn't). Eric and Victor talk about among other topics: Lonni Alameda being named new Head Coach of the USSSA Pride ESPN and SEC Network announcing their 2016 broadcast schedules Are college softball tournaments too long and how do we fix it?

On this edition of In The Circle, Eric Lopez and Victor Anderson recap the weekend that was in college softball. They recap what happened at the Mary Nutter Classic as well as week 2 of the Diamond 9 Citrus Classic at the ESPN Wide World of Sports. Also, Victor talks about what is shaping up to be a wild season in Division II including an historic feat that could make Randy Johnson AND Roger Clemons jealous.

In our final part of the 2016 Division I preview, the guys give their thoughts on the upcoming National Pro Fastpitch draft on April 14 and discuss their national championship picks.

When you're the reigning, defending two-time national champions, you get your own episode on In The Circle. On this edition, Victor and Eric sit down with the "Voice of Gators Softball" Adam Schick to give his thoughts on Tim Walton's team heading into 2016, being a part of a historical run, the landscape of the SEC, and the evolution of Gators Softball
