Thank you for joining me today! Today's reading comes to us from Exodus 21-23, Leviticus 19, 24, Numbers 35, Deuteronomy 5, 15-16, 19, 24-25 for the section entitled Other Rules. For the section entitled Rules About Sickness and Food, our reading comes to us from Leviticus 11, 13, and Deuteronomy 14. 

Today we will be reading about rules that God gave His people about how to treat people fairly, consequences for certain things, and rules about what kinds of food were okay and not okay for God's people to eat. We will  talk about Jesus' teaching to turn the other cheek rather than pay people back and we will talk about Paul's guidance to not let what food people eat or don't eat cause us to judge others.

Thank you for being here with me today! Today's reading comes to us from  MANY chapters in the Bible.  Numbers 26-33;  Deuteronomy 1-11. Exodus 22-23; 31, 34-35;  Leviticus 16; 18-20, 23-24d; 26; Numbers 28-29; Deuteronomy 5; 12-18;  26. 

Today I will begin our daily reading with telling you about my own  personal application to yesterday's reading. In today's reading we will  be given an overview by Moses of how God cared for the people on their 40 year journey through the desert and a specific instruction to love God with all of our heart, soul, and strength. Moses will talk  about some rules of worship and set out some holidays which are meant  to remind God's people of the ways in which He provided for them in the  past and continues to provide for us in the present. These are holidays I am  convinced we are meant to still celebrate, and so I share with you today my desire to once again look into the Messianic Jewish faith as I  search for my home church.

Thank you for being here with me today.  We will do a quick reminder  about yesterday's reading and discuss that no matter how many times we  sin God is faithful to forgive us, especially now that we have Jesus,  who paid the price for our sins. Today's reading will cover Numbers  Chapter 23 and 24. We will see the king of Moab asking Balaam three  times to pray for bad things to come to God's people. We will see God  protecting HIS people from bad things coming to them!

Today we will read Numbers chapters 21 and 22. We will be reading about  how once again God's people complain about being tired of the food they  are eating. Application in our own lives: How many times have we  committed the exact same sin over and over and over again? And yet, when  they asked for forgiveness, God forgave them and sent them healing. God  is so gracious and forgiving. We will also read about an angel giving a  donkey the ability to talk to her owner after he beat her repeatedly.

Hi there everyone! First off, I want to say I am sorry for once again speaking part of the wrong date in the supplementary session! It's not the 5th today.  It's the 4th of February, as you can plainly see by the posting date being on the 4th. I didn't go back in time to post this. haha!   

This video is a supplement to today's daily Bible reading. This is me reading the complete text of Numbers chapters 16, 17, and 20, which are the chapters that were covered in today's reading. I really felt led to share the details of what happened in these events and it would not have been sufficient for me to just tell you about them. I encouraged you to read the chapters yourselves or to listen to the supplementary audio podcast of me reading the chapters to you.

Today we will be covering Numbers Chapters 16, 17, and 20. We will see how the people were becoming arrogant and wanting to take over the  position of leadership, claiming that God talked to all of them and therefore Moses and Aaron needed to step down and let other people be in charge. We will discuss how the people were not rebelling against Moses and Aaron, but were really rebelling against and disrespecting God and HIS choice to put Moses and Aaron in their positions of leadership. We will see how God came to Moses' and Aaron's rescue and re-affirmed His choice to keep Moses and Aaron in their positions. We will also read about Moses' and Aaron's sin and the consequence for it. Curious as  to what they did? Listen and find out!   

I will also be posting a secondary session of the full reading of Numbers Chapters 16, 17, and 20 for those who are interested in hearing the FULL story of what happened during these incredible events where God affirmed just who He was placing in positions of leadership. The details are astonishing and I am really feeling led to read the chapters to you in a separate session. I pray God has made you hungry for hearing about everything that took place in these events and that you listen to the session or read the chapters yourself.

We are reading Numbers chapters 12-14 today. We will read about Miriam and Aaron fussing about Moses and see how God dealt with their behavior.  We will read about God's people arriving at the border of the land He promised them and see why they had to continue living in the desert for 40 years before being allowed to enter it. We will discuss how it feels when we have proven ourselves trustworthy and yet someone doesn't trust us, and discuss that this is how God felt when His people did not trust Him to give them the land after seeing all the amazing wonders he did to  take care of them up to this point. Let us be encouraged to always  trust in God, no matter how bad a situation seems, so we don't hurt God.  He has feelings, too.

Today we will be reading Numbers 10-11. We will  read about God's people complaining about not having meat again and  Moses feeling overwhelmed by the big responsibility of leading so many people by himself. We will see God affirm His ability to provide 600,000  men (plus women and children) with enough meat to eat for a MONTH and  care for Moses by taking some of the Spirit that was upon him and  putting it on the 70 leaders to alleviate Moses' burden. In a prophetic  hope, Moses wished that God's Spirit would be upon ALL the people, and  now, with God's Holy Spirit that was sent by Jesus to be our comforter  and helper, we have exactly that! God is so loving in His provision and care for us!

We are finishing Exodus today! If you are JUST joining me and want to start at the beginning of Exodus you can find it starting on January 19, 2025. Today we will read about God's very specific instructions for building the worship tent, how generously He provided for the materials to build it, and how important it was to follow His instructions for worship. As application for own lives we will discuss how God's ways are higher than our ways and even if we do not understand everything He tells us to do, it is important to obey Him, trusting that His ways are higher than our ways.

Today we will be reading something VERY exciting in Exodus 33-34.  God shows his back to Moses and Moses' face SHINES after being in God's presence!  God and Moses talk to each other like FRIENDS! And guess what? We can, too. Jesus told his disciples that he called them his friends, not servants, for a servant does not know his master's work, but Jesus told them everything. Jesus is our friend, too! We will also read about God replacing the tablets that Moses broke and God once again asserts that the people are not to worship ANY idol or god besides HIM. We will again talk about the application of that in OUR OWN lives today, especially in reference to Jesus' salvation. He bought and paid for us. We belong to HIM, and no one should be idolized or thought of as our hero besides HIM, as HE is the one who has truly saved us from death.
