In the Lap of the Pods (Queen podcast)

We talk about Judas Priest's career from album to album with new fanboy Michael Legge. This episode features a lovely message for Michael from our Deep Dive Podcast Network colleagues at the Metal Gods podcast. We go Hot Rockin' on this one!

We have the pleasure of presenting an interview with Peter Hince, also known as Ratty. Peter was roadie for Queen from 1974 to 1986 for both Freddie and John. He was a trusted friend to both and has never abused that trust at any point, endearing himself to Queen fans the world over as a result. For this episode our listeners at this point have raised over £750 for Cancer Research UK and Macmillan Cancer Support. Thank you. In this episode we discuss one of our favourite bands, Rush. We explore four albums released from 1978 - 1982 and discuss how the band's sound had changed over such a short space of time. This episode is for Kim.

We go back to Queen's first album and the album that started the podcast off for us. The reason? Well we didn't break down the full album on our first episode as we were still working it all out. So we wanted to go back and talk about all of the tracks and in more detail. We found that we had even changed our minds a little since that first pod.

In this NOT episode we take a request from a Twitter follower JournoJoolz, who requested we do an episode on Alice Cooper's 4th solo album From the Inside. The album is a concept about Alice's time in a New York asylum while recovering from alcoholism and was worked up with Bernie Taupin. We dive into this album that is barnd new to us, despite coming out in 1978.

In this episode we discuss Brian May's first proper solo album, Back to the Light. Released in 1992, the music for the album was assembled over the previous 5 years. After a failed attempt to record this podcast a few months back, we make another attempt and finish it off this time! Get our honest and objective opinions as ever. P.S. If easily offended, this maybe isn't for you!
