  • NOT: Manic Street Preachers - The Holy Bible

We discuss Manic Street Preachers' third album The Holy Bible. This is the last album to feature Richey Edwards who went missing not long after its release. The album explores harrowing subjects such as the holocaust, anorexia and murder and is widely considered to be the band's creative high point. The album was released in 1994 which overall was a great year for music.

  • More of that Jazz

We take a fresh look at Jazz. Some of us weren't too happy with the thoughts expressed on the original podcast, so we take a fresh and less trigger-happy look at the most divisive Queen album of the 1970s.

  • The Works Tour

In 1984 and 1985, Queen toured every major continent in the world apart from North America as they were still in a huff about how they were treated in the US after Hot Space. The band hadn't played live since 1982. They re-assembled after some time apart and solo ventures to write and record The Works album and then headed out on tour. The tour wasn't short on issues which we discuss, also focussing on the performances from Rio and Tokyo.

  • Roger Taylor - Outsider

We discuss Roger's sixth solo album, released on 1st October 2021. In Roger's own words: "It's slightly nostalgic and wistful, and quite adult, a bit more grown-up than my last couple of albums.” We gave the album a first listen on release day and recorded our initial thoughts, then coming back days later and more listens later, we recorded our subsequent thoughts.
