Distinct. Blue. Custom made. Chris Shaw throws on his signature sport jacket and becomes the pseudonymous Topher James - the frontman for Biscuit Brigade.

Coinciding with the release of their record "8-Bit Soul," Shaw has released a video game with that same title. The goal is to take the digital version of Topher James and get him through the city to his gig.

But, there's definitely more than a blue jacket, a new album, and a video game to go along with it. There's also a deep love of music rooted in Chris. We explore why he continues to pursue this passion.

Doc Robinson: an irresistible mixture of bands from all across Columbus. They are a combination of Nick D and The Believers, The Wet Darlings, The Floorwalkers, Mojoflo, G.Finesse and a slew of others.

Dubbing themselves as "backyard barbecue breakup music," these guys can jam and create sounds the represent the personalities they all have.

Months before their debut album release, Nick D'Andrea, Jon Elliott, and Seth Bain sit down with us and discuss the morphing membership and drive to always try something new.

One thing is for sure, there is no lack of depth to Montezuma. From the name of the band to the feel of their music, there is much to understand about this multi-faceted group.

Montezuma recently opened for Band of Horses at CD1025's Holiday Show. "I was sure something was going to go wrong," says lead guitarist-vocalist Vincent Valentino. "I think I had a mild panic attack before going on stage."

Vinny sits down with us and contends that bands have a responsibility to find a way to make the world a better place.

There is an undeniable, authentic, funky soul to the sextet that calls themselves Mistar Anderson.

Three of the members (Eric, Andre, and John) join us to discuss the jazz influence they love and pay homage to.

Mistar Anderson began when drummer Andre had one of his first ever paid gig in Columbus. The man who paid him was lead singer Eric. "He hired my band. It was one of the first times I got paid in the city to do a gig," said Andre.

The story continues and the seamless rap and jazz fusion live on in these fresh rhythms, beats, and lyrics.

As Yellow Paper Planes prepares to drop their full-length album, they sit down with us to talk about how they took off.

Their latest record "Pause for The Jets" was released in October of 2016 and is called a "science fiction rock opera." This album is rich with inspiration from lucid dreams the band has experienced.
