Faith is the substance is taken from Hebrews 1:1 "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." The Greek word for "substance" is "hupostasis" which mean strengthen from below or under. Hence the English word is a compound word "sub" meaning "under" and "stance" meaning "standing." This means foundation for a building. The word of God is our sure foundation and is the substance of our Faith. In this final episode of the study on "Wisdom The Principal Thing" we look at what makes for true success in life. You could quickly come some conclusion of success from a worldly perspective, things such as money, recognition and influence. but what about success in terms of the people of God? Also what about the challenges of success with issues that are unresolved in our souls. Proverbs directs us to "look to the ant." This episode is rich with the wisdom for working life, and business relationships. status and recognition, power and influence. All these are part of the world’sunderstanding of success. The Word of God encourages us to build strong friendships with those of like precious faith. It takes trust and truth to build deep and lasting friendships that will work to strengthen our faith as we journey through the ups and downs of life. The Book of Proverbs gives us guidance to make wise choices in locating those that would be trustworthy friends. A true friend will be honest and correct us in alignment with God's word when we need to hear and receive the truth.

This episodes looks into the many challenges of relationships with others whether in family life, working life, business associations, school and church life. What should we encourage and demonstrate in the command to love our neighbour as ourselves? What about the judgement of others? This episode will be helpful to navigate through relationships.

Time is a resource. Unlike money which can be saved or spent, time is cannot be saved up it becomes spent. Time is a great equalizer. Rich or poor we all have 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and 365 days a year. Although our life spans can vary, which makes it even more important to value whatever time we have that remains. The Word of God exhorts us to redeem time because the days are evil. This means we should apply our time to seeking first the kingdom of God.

In part 2 of "Evil People" we look into the nature of evil in humanity. Also the strategies of Satan to keep people deceived and in a state of "spiritual blindness" to truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Also we learn we have the strategies to resist the enemy and expose his works as lies, as we have been empowered to overcome all the works of the enemy.

Evil people may not appear to be evil by worldly standards. But by the standard of God's word they are. People who claim righteousness through their good deeds in life qualify themselves as evil because they reject the mercy and grace of God in the only righteous work God will accept. That is the work of Jesus suffering and death on the cross of Calvary. Although it looks like the wicked are blessed in the earth with success, with wealth and highly esteemed, yet it is a great deception of Satan.

In Part 2 of "The Fool' We continue to look into proverbs that teach us to keep our speech truthful and making sure we avoid slander toward others. Also the importance as parents of training up children in the way they should go through ensuring they are hearing and practising the word of God. We also look at the foolishness of the Galatian church which was given strong rebuke for receiving additions of the law from the false teachers who had followed Paul into the churches of Galatia.

The book of Proverbs has much wisdom to provide concerning foolishness and "fools." in this first episode we understand that the rejection of God's existence . Psalm 14:1 "the fool has said in his heart, there is no God. "People who claim atheism are people who don't want to believe in a God that has a moral standard for human beings, because it challenges their desire to live in sin and without boundaries. Other types of fools the Proverbs reveal are ...the Babbler, the Scoffer or Mocker and One withe a Foolish Mouth."

Jesus chose the Wisdom of God and humbled Himself and took on the flesh of a man and became obedient unto death even the cruel suffering and death of the cross. This act seems foolishness to the natural man...those that are perishing, but for us who believe it is the perfect wisdom of God.
