On the inauguration of the 46th president, here is an assessment of the state of the nation, a nation in tatters, a nation in the midst of collapse. Did we really make America great again? What am I going to do with this red hat? Each president becomes a new disappointment. The words ring hollow, except for Garth Brooks' singing Amazing Grace. Can God save these wretches? We compare the state of the nation with the standards of God's Word. They aren't going to fix the nation. But, we can say that "Those who lead you cause you to err, and destroy the way of your paths."
