Enjoy my interview with one of the masters of thought and motivation with legend Eric Thomas creator of New Found Power fitness trainers, creator of New Found Power Labs/Gear a fitness clothing and supplement company, co-owner of Lift Gym in the greater Wausau area with 3 locations!

He is also guitarist of the band The Will, and is a sculpture of iron and steel with his company Echo Scapes, and also just launched meal deliver service 180 cuts serving the greater Wausau Area as well.

Eric and I have been friends for a long time and we talk about our dreams to be leaders of men and women years ago while working with my parents. We are both people who really could have chosen to lead in much more negative ways as we have the capacity to be more of cult leaders.

But Eric in helping people meet their fitness, dietary, but more so life and dream goals. Eric is one of the more inspirational and motivational people I have ever met, and he is one of my best and most cherished friends.

  • The Ramifications of Being Alt

Don’t miss a podcast make sure to subscribe on iTunes and don’t miss an episode!

Teaser: We get so so caught up in binaries. This or That. Or wrapped up in notions of identity – I am liberal or conservative, democrat or republican, progressive or what not? This week saw the rise of the alt-left. But what is the Alt-Left, what is the Alt fight even mean for average people everywhere? Should we even identify as Alt Anything?

Today’s podcast is on the Alt Movement, Which of course will cover Alt-Right its rise and what are some ramifications of this group rising to power, we will look at the phenomena of protesters identifying as alt-left. And dig into what it means to potentially identify as ALT-Anything as well as if this notion of being on that spectrum even means

Welcome back to the podcast! So this is the first week I have had back to back podcasts.

Got the semester off to a good start this week at my main position at Pvcc. That was really good, it has been a long week with some long days in the heat, and it appears we are in for a heat wave here in Phoenix for the next week so please think some cool thoughts for us at the Inclusive Activism Podcast. Just today got the news that former Sherriff Joe Arpiao was pardoned which was a huge blow to all Maricopa Country Residents. And at this time the DACA program is set to get a ruling on Sept. 5th I am hoping and praying that the early reports of its demise are wrong as I have a lot of people I love and care about: So in short its still a very dark time and we need some positive thoughts and prayers. Hell I could use you positivity and thoughts and prayer so if you can pass those along that would be greatly appreciated! Please remember you can email me at [email protected] or leave me a voicemail at 860-576-9393. I would love to hear your thoughts!

Also remember to rate and review us on iTunes, or Stitcher, or if you could please share the podcast on social media, All these things go a long way to making a significant difference for us here at the inclusive activism podcast. Also please subscribe to our podcasts on iTunes, Stitcher, or Google Play as these are great ways for me to show “proof of work to potential sponsors”. It would also go a long way in getting my producer Sara paid for her work someday too!

So checking in on my Activism:

There hasn’t been much of a chance in the past week for activism

The protest of Trump downtown sadly did see some violence with tear gas being used on protesters

Last Thursday I was a part of the DACA action with Aliento (Report on this)

We also donated Gatorade and Granola bars for the Trump action

    Self Care:

Since I have returned to full time work the Mindfulness was sacrificed, and those close to me have noticed, I will get back on track next week

Lifting has still been going very strong thankfully I appreciate my new lifting partner

Cardio is mixed I keep my heart rate really high during lifting and have been doing speed work with a speed ladder on the weekend but still not always getting my 30 mins of elliptical tranining in – not sure how the heart is dealing with all that.

But I need help too – personally and professionally please send me your prayers and positive thoughts I am on the precipice of several bad and potentially good things I reall

Don’t miss a podcast make sure to subscribe on iTunes and don’t miss an episode!

Teaser: What do you do when you know: WHEN YOU KNOW! 100% for a fact that something will happen in the future, but you don’t have the power or sway to study it early while it happens. You know things will change, will forever change and you have an idea that will save lives, could create a generation of the loyalist of customers, and get a glimpse into how the future of the mass incarnation prison industrial complex will take shape – but you are not getting any responses in your efforts to get in on the ground floor.

Today’s podcast is on Autonomous Vehicles, and the future of Pre-textual Crime Stops for People of Color

Welcome back to the podcast! It has been a minute since I have been able to podcast, and as of next week my one shot podcasts will be empty, so I am sincerely hoping you enjoyed how to enhance your heroic response… With that I am very excited to get into today’s topic because I don’t know that someone has gotten to this in any published way as of yet.

Also yesterday I was talking with my partner, since the voicemail line is pretty quiet right now about the podcast and she was telling me so far she is appreciating the one topic deep dives the most. I have about 3 more interviews ready to go, and honestly the interviews are SO much easier to set up and do. I find myself needing to write the deep dives ahead of time in order to ensure that quality content. Her opinion is that is easier to hold focus, and that she feels like she gets better quality reflections from the one off’s. Is this the case?? Please remember you can email me at [email protected] or leave me a voicemail at 860-576-9393. I would love to hear your thoughts!

So checking in on my Activism:

    Activism has been good!

Full Week at Anytown! Great experience: expond a bit here

Then part of MSCO task force meeting at CNL (more info about great group go to CNL Facebook) http://azcnl.org/

Went to do service at Andre House – they are in need of help Mon-Thurs. good stuff get out there! http://andrehouse.org/volunteer-information/

    Self Care:

Back from Vacation now so its good to be back into the routine

Have a lifting partner now, so the Lifting is so much better! This has been of exponential benefit!

BUT it has come at the cost of good cardio, only got 1 day of solid cardio in

Got in 3 good days of Meditation though, and now know I will have 5 solid swings

But I need help too – personally and professionally please send me your prayers and positive thoughts I am on the precipice of several bad and potent

  • How to Be a Hero

Don’t miss a podcast make sure to subscribe on iTunes and don’t miss an episode!

Teaser: Hero’s they are literally everywhere in our society today. We seem to need heroes today now more than ever. And there are some undoubted heroes among us right now. We love and admire them deeply. But the question we ask today is what makes a hero so? And how do we boost the heroism in ourselves!

Welcome back to the podcast! It has been the summer of interviews at the inclusive activism podcast and that is a very good thing. So far I know you have heard from Dr. Matthew Whitaker, and Luke Black. I think you might even will have heard from the Executive Director of Anytown Eric Tanchez by this time. So I am curious how are you liking these interviews? Are they good are they of value? I also have 3 in the with a few others coming up so sit tight!

I also ask because the individual topics still seem to dominate in the rankings at this point so I am hoping to hear your thoughts! So remember you can email me at [email protected] or leave me a voicemail at 860-576-9393.

Not much as I have been on vacation

    Self Care:

Also out on Vacation which was a nice get away. I am feeling rested and ready to get back at it though

I have done 2 days of lifting

As well as two days of cardio already!

So on to the podcast for today! I got excited about this topic. What makes a hero? How does an ordinary person make the extraordinary choices to become a hero? And if everyone is capable, how can we draw more heroism out of ourselves?

First thing: Heroes See Voids of Need better than the rest of us. They see the world differently than we do, and they take more ownership of the outcome of the world than the rest of us. While we drive past the person stranded on the road because we don’t want to be late for work, the Hero decides to be late anyway. The hero in them calls them to help. There was a study done on preacher who were asked to do a sermon on the story of the good Samaritan the man who was supposedly lowly. He took in a beaten man stopped by the side of the road and not only helped him but helped him to the point where he put him up in a hotel and gave him a reserve of money to get better on, and also told the innkeeper to keep a tab if the money was not enough. These preachers were asked to create a message about the good Samaritan to give to another congregation. These preachers were then told they were late to deliver the message and on the way they passed a man who was groggy and asking for help. The amount of hurriedness the preachers experienced had a direct correlation on how helpful they were.

Results: The amount of “hurriness” induced in the subject had a major e

  • Christian Hegemony – Current Favoring Practices & How to Resist

Don’t miss a podcast make sure to subscribe on iTunes and don’t miss an episode!

Teaser: You know that person that just seems to get every break? People that just ALWAYS seem to get bumped into first class? The people whose parents pay for … everything? Still?! They ALWAYS get the benefit of the doubt. They are NEVER associated with negative members of their group. The world seems to literally bend over backwards for even their smallest of need. They set agenda. They dictate the terms of interaction. They seem to get every vacation request granted, and get every break known to man, and still have the gall to say they are the ones persecuted – that it is THEY who are in fact Oppressed!

Today’s Topic on the Inclusive Activism Podcast is the fourth and final installment of Christian Hegemony. We will examine what and how current favoring practices exist – and we will look at how we can choose to resist these ubiquitous unearned benefits!

Taking some time to check in – I am really pleased because I spent the past weekend in on a Retreat getting to teach and learn from students in Emerging Leaders 2 about Kingian Nonviolence Conflict Reconciliation. I am always so filled with a sense of inner peace, and always find new ways to live in more of a calm and nonviolent way.

As far as the growth of the podcast we are still seeing some slow growth. There are some very exciting 30 download days. But there are also still some 0 download days. Currently my top ten are all older podcasts. And as I write this the most recent podcast posted – the Numbing Trap is stuck at about 40 listens and we don’t post again until this Sunday. So it’s a bit of a plateau right now. So please be with me and breathe with me through these moments folks. Its hard to not see constant and consistent growth. I need y’all in these moments folks. Your emails, your voicemails, just stories of how this might be helping or making a difference – these little things matter! I appreciate all your help and your positive thoughts shares and prayers my fellow activists!

    Checking in on my activism:

I have called to advocate for in State Tuition for DACA

Taught 4 days on Nonviolence to make the world more open and accepting

A meeting to coordinate for Anytown for curriculium

Also attended a Culture Quest by Dr. Whitaker from Diamond Strategies

I got to take my dear friend Dr. Adama Sallu to her first dinner at a Native Resturant

    Checking in on Self Care

Lifting 4X a week at Min

Cardio is only at 2 times a week I need to improve

Mindfulness has been good at 3X a week past two weeks

Want to add in walking prayer

And I am a Leadership book club with my Peer Mentors

INCLUSIVE ACTIVISM - This is Inclusive Activism Podcast – It comes from the idea love is an action word. We don’t just want to be enlightened to the reality of “ism” we want to DO something about it.
