As the world adjusts to the new health codes and restrictions due to COVID 19, we are now seeing a new culture emerge centered around the concept of a “touchless” experience. In order to maintain safety standards, businesses and communities have found creative ways to continue to provide products and services without requiring the customer or patron to touch anything, from a door-handle to the register. Many have converted to an online only experience just to be safe. What does this mean for the church and the many ways we minister to our communities? How does this affect how we serve and evangelize the lost? If we cannot extend a personal invitation to church, how can we reach people?
In this episode, we present the final priority for touching your community in a "touchless culture."

Many churches have multiple ministries and numerous events as a way to engage and serve the community around them. However, communicating what those ministries are, how to get connected, and what services are available to members, guests, and first-timers can be complicated. What event should you promote and how often? Which ministry should you inform your members about and how?
In this episode, Luke Clayton continues to outline priorities for touching your community in a "touches culture" with a very important message for churches who have numerous ministries that offer varying services and events for their communities: simplify the content of your message.

Typically, churches seem to lag behind as technology advances; however, churches have been given a wonderful opportunity. The shock and speed of the pandemic has put everyone on a level playing field for getting new technology and new ways to get people the Word. This is a moment for churches to stay on top of advances in online marketing, or possibly even set the trend.
Remember, the church is not a building, a worship experience, or just an hour in a week. The church is the Body of Christ, made up of all of the saved across the whole world. In this new phygital age, the Body of Christ can be closer than ever before. Not only can we better interact with each other, but also we can better reach the world together.

Many businesses are finding that the changes which this pandemic has forced have allowed them to reallocate resources and create better streamlined systems for getting goods out to customers. Your church, like these businesses, can also benefit from the changes created by this pandemic through embracing the changes and working to make them a permanent part of your ministry. By embracing these changes, your church can be unique, interactive, and, most importantly, able to reach thousands of more people all across the world.
How can you enhance your online church experience? Join Luke Clayton and Bo Snyder for this third installment of the Reboot series as they explore what churches are doing to answer the needs of their online audience.

A new term -- “phygital” -- has been created to describe the conversion from pure physical church services to the hybrid physical and digital style of church we now see. Although this may make some nervous, this change has allowed many churches to reach hundreds, if not thousands, of people that they could not reach before. Instead of looking to return to what used to be normal, why not ask yourself what your ministry could do to embrace this new “phygital” age?
Pre-recorded services? Livestream? Zoom? There are many approaches to creating this new “phygital” space for us to engage with our congregations. On this episode Luke Clayton is joined by Josh Irmler to walk you through best practices for church in this new age of digital community.

The past few months have acted as a reset button for society, individual families, businesses, and churches. While this has been difficult for churches especially, it has also provided opportunity. We have talked to church leaders throughout this pandemic who have told me that they have used the shutdown as a reason to make long-needed changes to many areas of ministry that have not been updated in years, if not decades.
Join Luke Clayton for the first installment of Reboot, a brand new series from Church MediaHq that focuses on establishing a new normal for church during a pandemic in the digital age. Luke discusses why this time of uncertainty can be viewed as an opportunity for rest, restoration, and maybe even a hard reset for ministry. It may be time to upgrade your online church experience or even start an online church service. The options and opportunities are endless.
