Should you be worried enough to miss your trip to the theme park entirely?
Reports say that there is a one in 24 million chance of being injured at one of the permanent US theme parks. Even so there are 30,000 injuries reported every year. Fatalities are much rarer at one in 750 million but from 2009 at least one theme park death has been reported every year. So, it is not as uncommon as you may think. And when things do go wrong results can be terrifying. Here are five of the most shocking catastrophes that happened at theme parks.
