It’s the final hour on Network Indiana’s Indiana Sports Talk, Coach Bob Lovell and Eddie Garrison start the hour joined by the voice of the Indianapolis 500, Mark Jaynes. Mark and Coach talk some IndyCar and what to expect tomorrow from Roman Grosjean at the race, and Mark explains why he thinks Grosjean could absolutely be the points leader right now in the NTT IndyCar Cup Series. Jaynes gives his predictions for the race tomorrow in Alabama. Tony Donahue of burnoutsports.com stops by to talk with Coach more racing. IndyCar is going on tomorrow at Barbara Motorsports Park in Birmingham, AL. Donahue gives his predictions and what he’s expecting and looking forward to tomorrow with this huge race as everyone gears up for the Indy 500 in one month. Next up, the voice of the South Bend Cubs, Brendan King, joins Coach to talk about the Cubbies season so far and their week of baseball, highlighting how the game went today, winning 7-4 over the Peoria Chiefs. The Cubs have now won 3 of the first 5 games of the series against the Chiefs and host the series finale tomorrow afternoon, first pitch is set for 2:05pm EST. King sticks around to talk a little bit about the Chicago Cubs and a couple prospects who were in the Minors last year and now are performing in the MLB with one of the nation’s biggest franchises.

After that on IST, Luke Martin from Indiana State University, joins Coach in talking the Sycamores and what their football team has been up to this Spring so far and what plans they have for the fall. To close out the hour on IST, the voice of the Indianapolis Colts, Matt Taylor, joins Coach in talking about the Colts’ first round draft pick, Anthony Richardson, and what the upside is with the Colts’ new young quarterback.

It’s another Saturday night which means Network Indiana’s Indiana Sports Talk is back! Coach Bob Lovell and Eddie Garrison start off the show joined by Greg Rakestraw, who talks about the Indianapolis Colts’ draft picks in this year’s NFL Draft and what it means for them going forward. Rakestraw stresses what he believes the Colts did right during the draft and what he thinks were the best decisions made by the Colt’s front office. Rakestraw comes back and gives the latest update on the Indy Eleven. He talks about the game today against the Pittsburgh Riverhounds and a big performance for the Eleven. Lastly, Rakestraw gives his first thoughts on Anthony Richardson and how he could work with Jonathan Taylor. To close the hour, Coach Lovell and Eddie quickly look at each Colts’ draft pick.

The final hour has Coach and update anchor Brad Huber talking more about the Indianapolis Colts draft. Both men go into extended detail of Colt’s first round draft pick Anthony Richardson and play some audio from his post-pick press conference held on Zoom. Coach Lovell then asks Brad what other players from the Hoosier state were drafted and where they’ve ended up. The Colts have traded well during this draft and have plenty more picks to make in the 4 remaining rounds. Brad plays more audio from the NFL draft that he and Coach continue to break down along the broadcast. Coach lists the upcoming NASCAR and IndyCar races going on, then talks a little about the NBA playoffs. Coach brings on studio producer Sam Fritz to talk about his opinions on events going on in the sports world.

Steve Krah of IndianaRBI.com calls into the show and talks Indiana High School Baseball. Northridge vs. Mishawaka was a pitchers duel that ended 1 – 0. Krah was in attendance for the rain delayed game where Mishawaka would advance to 12 – 1 on the season. Ciach and Krah cover a wide variety of high school baseball athletes that have stood our this season.  Krah gives the rankings for every school from 4A to 1A and where they will likely place in the upcoming pairings show next weekend. Indianapolis Indians radio voice Howard Kellman laments their loss tonight by calling into the show. The Tribe fell short to the Columbus Clippers 7 – 4. Kellman says that while the Indians are on a losing streak there are some bright spots in their future. Columbus had a pair of brother’s from Brooklyn hit homeruns in the same game.

The show opens with Brad Huber and Coach Bob Lovell going back and forth about the ongoing 2023 Draft. They discuss the Colts 1st round draft pick in Anthony Richardson as well as rounds 2 and 3 which are happening while the show is live. Coach and Brad then discuss the fall of Will Levis from potential fourth overall pick to an early second round option. Voice of the IndyCar series Mark Jaynes joins the program to preview the upcoming Alabama Indy Grand Prix. Jaynes details the differences between the Alabama course and other IndyCar races. What racers are going to perform well and what racers are dreading the Alabama Grand Prix due to never finishing well. Racers think this is the first event to gather momentum before May and the Indy 500.
