This week, a number of important forecasts and indicators will be published that economists are keeping a close eye on. These include the IMF's forecasts for the world economy and December's credit extension figures and trade balance as well as January's ABSA purchasing managers' index and Naamsa's vehicle sales data. All this gives clues about the outlook for the year.
