*Spoiler* the U.S.'s most common new year's resolution is (drumroll please) 'lose weight and get fit.'
THE CONVO
In today’s first solo episode (meaning one where I and only I talk, apologies in advance), I will be sharing nine of my 2019 favorites ranging from the movie “Parasite” to the pure gold that is Oatly’s oat milk, and my thoughts on intuitive eating. While my 2019 favorites and my thoughts on intuitive eating seem completely disconnected, they are, in fact, not. Many times a new year means a new you. This often manifests itself in the go-to diet culture: cut-out sugar, carbs, gluten, and everything that tastes good, gives us fuel, and allows us to function. Intuitive eating is a subversive approach to this bullsh*t we are bombarded with. Specifically, I discuss the five steps that help me strengthen my relationship with food and awareness with my body and move farther away from the transactional act that food often becomes.
