Symptoms of arthritis include joint pain and stiffness which typically worsens with age. The most common types of arthritis are osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis (RA). In the United States. 58.5 million US adults have been diagnosed based on statistics from the CDC. Women appear to be the most diagnosed with arthritis. Medline Plus states approximately 294,000 children have Juvenile Arthritis in the United States.
There is currently no cure for arthritis, and much more research is needed in order to find solutions and treatments that work for all to alleviate symptoms and improve quality of life.
