When inflation will fall further and interest rates can be cut again is one of the big economic questions of the new year. Tomorrow December's consumer price inflation figure will be announced and then we will know what inflation was in 2022. It reached a peak in July and then decreased slightly. Next week the Reserve Bank's Monetary Policy Committee meets for the next repo rate decision. So what are policymakers looking at as signs of slower price increases, or risks for further increases?
