Today’s episode is of the Influence Lab Podcast are some quick and simple ways brands can support their influence teams.
It doesn't matter what type of company you are marketing, small or large, food, sports leagues, tech companies... all can do some easy things to elevate the level of their teams.
Some things you can do as a brand to support your influence teams are :
Clarity - provide clear direction on what the influencers are expected to do, and where the boundaries are.
Interaction - endorse your influencers by interacting with them online by liking, sharing or commenting on their posts.
Trust across all influencers on the team can be enhanced by sharing just a few shares on the brand.
There is a certain amount of vanity involved with posters so they LOVE to see things shared by the brand.
Group meetings or trips can go a long way to get the team closer as a group and provide a place to brainstorm great ideas.
Sometimes these interactions can form friendships and partnerships beyond the brand and help the working relationship.
Listen to your influencers for ideas on how to make the platform better. Experienced influencers may have great ideas from previous campaigns.
Keep your influencers informed of the direction of your marketing so the message stays on the same message and you as a brand are not focussing on one theme, and your influencers are doing something completely different.
Inform your influencers of social programs so they can create content and share around those campaigns. You never know when you will strike a note with someone and get some great content talking about the brand in a very positive light.
Some things that a brand should NOT do could include :
Not allowing an influencer to use their own voice and personality can hurt the message by it appearing out of character for the poster.
Don't make the "rules" too tight on sharing the information.
Remember, you can put a budget on helping your influencers with meetings, trips, gear and other potions of the campaign, but you really can't put a price on it.
